  • I think it is a shame that more wasn't done with Clint's singing. He had a beautiful baritone voice and I just loved it. Great looks, talent and a good person. Who says you can't have it all.

  • There will never ever be a man like Clint Walker again. He was God's special gift to us....the perfect man!

  • that was great, glad to hear he enjoying life still........

  • Very nice video, I enjoy all Clint Walkers work , and appreciate you putting this piece together for us fans to watch and enjoy Thank You so much!!!

  • I think Clint was in his prime in mid 30's early 40's but still a beautiful man today in his 80's.

  • What a beautiful video. Clint has always been the standard against which I judge most men! And the music is hauntingly beautiful. Very appropriate for a gentleman like Clint.

  • If Clint Walker was in his youthfull prime today, around late 20s or early 30s, He has the perfect build and rugged good looks, to be cast in a movie role as a

superhero like Batman or Captain America

  • that was lovely, happy to hear hes still doing well....

  • I watched him back home for many years and I love it because he portrayed what a real man should be , with character ,strong personality ,and not a bully ,abusive or rude towards woman like others actors in a western movies. His personificacion was a head of the time. Kudos for Cheyene and Clint Walker.

  • I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF CLINT SINCE I FIRST SAW CHEYENNE ON TV ,I AM 66 NOW AND THIS XMAS I AM GETTING THE FIRST SERIES OF CHEYENNE IN A BOX SET ,HE ALSO HAS A GOOD SINGING VOICE ,

  • Today is the first time I have ever seen Cheyenne or Clint Walker. I am mesmerized by his face his his eyes his voice and his incredibly sexy and strong body!! What a hottie!! I wish I was around back then. I wish you and ur wife many more happy years together. I have to say you've made ME very happy today!! Ciao gorgeous!

  • there is only one western star worth watching and is clint walker

  • Gorgeous...Gorgeous....Gorgeous!!!

  • I first saw clint in the dirty dozen in 1967..I was 13 at the time..I have been a fan of his ever since..not many of the original dozen left now I bet..clint how come you still have a full head of hair at your age..mine almost gone lol..well I am 56 now..best of luck to you..all the best..bob..in england

  • BEEN A FAN OF CLINT SINCE HIS CHEYENNE DAYS AND ALWAYS WILL BE..CRIS AGE 66

  • He is so strong and lovely...Thank you very very much baybea!

  • WHAT A FINE EXAMPLE OF A GENUINE NICE GUY WHO IS AN IDEAL ROLE MODEL FOR ANY BUDDING WESTERN HERO,LONG LIFE TO A GREAT GUY WHO COULD ACT TOO,,ROB ENGLAND

  • I remember watching him when I was young. My dad never missed an episode of Cheyenne. He was a magnificent specimen of a man then and has aged gracefully!

  • good job, baybea!! thanks! clint walker is just wonderful!!

  • Correction on the age my father retired: 74 not 73. He passed away before he received his first retirement check from the railroad. It seems like most taller and bigger men (not fat) don't have anything to prove, and as has been said of Clint, are not bullies. .

  • Thank you, baybea, for this video. Enjoyed it very much. Sorry Hickey66 suspects Clint is not happy in his own body. I'm happy to say that my father was 6'6" and he was happy in his body. He was 75 when he died and I was 8 yrs. old . As a younger man, he was nice looking but no Clint.. He would be 132 yrs. old this year. I'm 64. A steam engine railroader for 52 years. Retired at age 73. Wish I could have bonded with him. Another man's man!

  • I love Clint Walker. I've always had since I was a kid. He's da man!

  • this makes me cry

  • Iv'e been in love with Clint Walker since 1955, lol, all I can say is you are so lucky Susan, love and long life to you both.

  • Thanks for posting

Always struck me as an amazing guy. he Deserves EVERY honour bestowed on him

  • lo vi en una pelicula maravillosa Murallas de sangre hace mas de 40 años y la tengo presente Un grande de Hollygood

  • Thank you for this wonderful tribute to a wonderful actor! Clint Walker is one in a million!

  • You guys are great!..God Bless both Susan and you Clint...You mean so much to me...

  • 1176 Bacchini? Do not feel bad,I did the same thing when I was there. He is the man and one of a kind. These actors today,oh man are they a mess. I hope to see Clint again this year in Utah.

  • i have always thought Clint Walker was cool!i wish him good health and many more years of happiness

  • This was really great....Thanks,RiflemanRay

  • This is very nice. It is good to honor good people. Thanks to him and you

    for this tribute.

  • Thank you for this beautiful tribute to the most gorgeous man that God ever created. The music you used breaks my heart every time I hear it. It's hauntingly beautiful. His early pictures were lovely.

  • I just came from the Western Legends Roundup in Utah. I was able to meet and talk to him. In line, I kept rehearsing the "thank yous" I was going to say. When my time came, I turned to look at him; he said, "Nice hat." and I burst out sobbing. I couldn't control myself. Finally, he said, Mickey, you'd be surprised. There are lots of big men, men 6'6" who come up to me and do the same thing." This started me sobbing all over again. What an honor to meet a true American hero.

  • Dear 1176 Bacchini: How lucky you were to meet Clint! What was he like? Were you able to stand next to him? Does he like meeting the fans? I'd do anything to meet him, but since I live in Pittsburgh, PA, I'll probably never get the chance! Were you allowed to take his picture? I would probably burst out crying or faint when I finally got next to him!

  • Dear Fan: I felt fortunate to meet him. He and Susan were sitting behind a table. I leaned over the table and turned to face my husband with the camera. Would you like to see the photo? He absolutely loves to see and meet the fans. While waiting in line, I thought he liked it too much as he and Susan took time with each fan. But when it comes to your time to meet him, the time goes so fast. What a gentleman.

  • Please send me the photo and thank you! Glad to hear that he loves the fans.

  • Clint Walker...the most gorgeous male specimen that God ever created.

  • Ever since I was a little girl, I had a crush on Clint Walker. I'm 55 and I still think he is the Sexiest Man on this earth. I do my best not to miss a rerun on cable of "Cheyenne". I agree with others who say that he wasn't seen enough on TV or in the movies. I still hope to see him in person. I pray, perhaps, at the FDR Pow-Wow in NY. Wouldn't that be cool! C.W.- Happy Belated Birthday to a Very Talented, Sexy Man!!! Thanks for everything. And May God Bless You Always.

  • Clint Walker um lindo ator.

  • Clint Walker's footprints that are in concrete dated 1966 which are shown in this video are not in Hollywood. They are in a museum.

  • Beautiful music, beautiful man and tribute

  • Thank you, baybea, for this wonderful tribute to our beloved Clint Walker. In our hearts he will always be Cheyenne, an icon in more ways than one. We join you in paying homage to this classic talent. He never disappointed his fans throughout his long and distinguished career.

I'm so glad you chose Clint as the first choice in your planned Tribute series and as the large number of viewings posted above attest to, it is worth returning here often to see again and again.

  • very classic

  • Brought back wonderful memories of 1950's tv in the uk great to see Clint is alive and well many thanks for the video.

    Jim

  • Happy 82nd birthday to the great Clint Walker. May God bless you with many, many more!

  • Clint Walker is a really great actor. HIs birthday is today-May 30th. He is 82 years old. I wish him continued good health and happiness.

  • Like the late Charlton Heston , Clint appears to be a man of great integrity . kindness and humility . Pity he wasn't seen more on tv and in the movies.

  • Love the video and the music. He was such a remarkable specimen of manliness. I hear he's a really kind and considerate gentleman----after being Cheyenne all those years, how could he be anything else? Wonderful tribute to wonderful man. Thanks for sharing.

  • I;m from England and he was part of my childhood. A magnificent man and I always admired his voice and I agree that if he had been a bit luckier with agents he would be an absolute superstar now. If you look at the major action stars today there is no comparison - eat your heart out Tom Cruise! Clint Walker was a man that all other men would like to be. Thanks for a great tribute.

  • His brother owned a health food store in Bellville Illinois. Just wondering if he is still open for business.

  • thanks

  • There was no other like him. A real man.

  • to Grungebabay: Tell em 10 million ladies can't be wrong, he's still a hunk in anybody's book. I know he is in mine.

  • Thank You Clint Walker, your´re a gentleman , God bless you ...

  • I taped Cheyenne and I am watching it now...but, I have already been to the Chinese theater seen the shoes or feet or hands in the cement..I have more than likely stepped on his "impressions" when I last visted...I didnot know about him, and I am learning about other actors thru youtube and other places as well. It's nice to see how much people love the people who act , sing, or do whatever they do in a lifetime...You did a great job here , it was a really kind tribute!! Thanks for the share!

  • Three guys I'm not to ashamed to admit I think are very,very handsome..William Holden,Sean Connery,and Clint Walker..If anything else,They are all " A Man's Man"..Clint Walker was a huge man for the 1950's,or 2009..6'6 235 is one big dude...

  • hahaha yes that would be strange but then say YES I KNOW!

Thanks for watching and when you see your grandfather tell him about this mini bio and get him to read the comments. :)

  • I'm so glad that many of you remember him and enjoyed this video. :)

  • When Clint takes off his shirt, which is in just about every Cheyenne episode, you could see that he was a natural body builder...no steroids for him.

  • Hi Saunders!

    Yes, he was naturally muscular.

  • i've watched this many times 6'6" 235# -growing up & now when you see these old cheyennes on the western ch & his shirt is off it's all natural not what you see today - thank you for the memories again

  • I hated school, and Cheyenne was one of the TV shows that helped me escape into another world..:)

  • i'm 59yrs old and still have the autographed picture from clint walker he sent to me - thank you for all the memories - stiil watch him on the western ch. life was so simple then!

  • I was 4 years old when Clint Walker first came on our little black and white TV as Cheyenne. I have always thought that he was one of the most handsome men I have ever seen, and 53 years later, I still think the same thing. I love that Cheyenne is now on Encore Western and I try to catch as many as I can. Thanks for the update/mini-biography, old friend.

  • I am so happy to see Cheyenne on TV now. I always had a huge crush on this guy starting when I was very very young. Wow, what a handsome man. This is a great little film, good work.

  • Doug McClure, Ryan O'Neill, Troy Donahue, Richard Chamberlain were all "pretty boys." They were all interchangeable with each other. But no one could ever be Cheyenne but the great Clint Walker.

  • thanks so much!my wife and i have been watching reruns of "cheyenne"every nite, and love em all!

  • That was EXCELLENT!!! Thank you

  • I have also loved Clint Walker from about the age of 10. He was and is one of the most gorgeous men that God ever created!

  • Great tribute! I'm giving my age away but I've adored this guy since I was 3 years old. I'd sit right in front of the TV totally engrossed by Cheyenne! When I told my mom I'd been watching Cheyenne again on the western channel, she said "oh gosh, you fell in love with him when you were about 3 years old" & she's right! I've continued to be a HUGE fan. They just dont make them like this anymore. NO one even comes close! He'll always be MY hero & I'll always love him! Thanks!!!

  • One of my favorite movies of all time is "The Night of the Grizzly". I have this on VHS but would love to see it in widescreen format on dvd.

  • I'm watching the Cheyenne Series on Encore Westerns. Even though they are 50 years old, they seem like new, and better TV which is produced today. I especially like the two episodes with James Garner. Clint makes Garner seem short. And that a feat!.

  • Nice video. I have a copy of Pancho Villa that I'm looking forward to seeing.

  • Nice job in this Bio. I like the background music very much. I just found The Cheyenne Show reruns on my local cable western channel.

Warner Bros did a great job. They look like they were filmed yesterday!!

  • How could anyone look and sound the way the great Clint did and not become a major Hollywood star? Poor management, I guess.

  • I've been watching Cheyenne on and off today on Encore Westerns -- and it's been pretty good! Clint Walker is the ultimate good guy and badass!

  • I used to watch his stuff as a kid in the seventies. He would have beat the crap out of the big stars of today! Watch out Seagal!

  • God molded this guy physically and mentally. Wish he had the right backing like Eastwood and Wayne. He could have been the greatest by far.

  • I like the line when he kisses Kim Novak in the Great Bank Robbery. She's surprised by it. Clint says, something like, " Just because I'm slow, don't mean I'm peculiar."

  • As a boy in 50s and 60s he was my heroe, and still is...

  • don't know the last time I saw such a magnificently masculine man, he was a romance novel hero brought to life.

  • Clint Walker, James Garner, Ty Hardin, Gene Barry, John Russel...these were REAL men, not the "boys" who pass themselves off as "macho" today.

  • damn it poeple when isee those lovely people i get so sad because we will never get guys like (alain delon ,clint eastwood,etc....how it was agood era ,i wish i could turn the wheel of time and live with this guys... Love you all

  • It is so reported that Gary Cooper said to Clint, 'Where are you going to buy a bigger hat.'

or something such so. i would have liked to meet the big guy himself. Feel that we would have got along. So do many others.

    Thanks.

  • what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful man.Cheyenne was my first "crush" as a child and i,m pleased to see i had good taste even back then.

  • Perfectly said!

  • no baby u r the beatifull

  • very nice tribute ! thanx for posting...Lyndloo..

  • A Great tribute. Clint Walker a very good actor, and the MOST masculine Man I think ever in the Public Eye. It is my belief Clint is an Honorable man as well.

  • How right you are my friend. We are of the same age...no one will be like the great Clint Walker ever again!

  • I will be 56 years old this year and remember so well the series and watching them with my father. My son knew I enjoyed the show and he is taking film in college and he really suprised me when he brought home the 1st season of Cheyenne for me. Needless to say it didn't take me long to watch every show. Clint Walker is the MAN. Thanks for so many years of enjoyment and fond memories. I hope someday we have an opportunity to meet. Here or beyond. Thanks again.

  • u r so wonderfullno the thankks goes to u

  • Does anyone know who Clints second wife was and how long they were married for?

  • Clint's second wife was Giselle Hennessey and they were married for 20 years, until her death

  • Thanks for the great post. I was a faithful fan of all those ABC Westerns (Cheyenne, Maverick) and I loved Clint as an actor. I think the last thing I saw him in was "The Dirty Dozen". I'm so glad that he is alive and happy.

  • Oh, by the way Baybea, thanks SO much for this bio, all the warm fuzzies came back. Lovely :-)

  • I remember he was married to Verna Lucille Garver (Amy's relative)which made me jealous as s teen :-)

I desperately wanted to meet him and now, in my 60's I'd still love to. He once talked about health and eating good foods and sunflower seeds and keeping fit and I've followed his advice ever since. What a lovely man. Come to New Zealand Clint, we'd love to see you.

  • Well done. Thank you.

  • the big guy is a good human being i remember as a child me and my bros and sister watchin his movies and westerns,,you never hear anything negative about him,,GOD BLESS U CLINT & HAPPY B-DAY-AT END OF THIS MONTH.

  • THANK YOU! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

  • you're very welcome! It's comments like this from people like you who make it all worthwhile

  • Thank you, I love Clint Walker

  • wikipedia does not list it, nor does clint's homesite, but I saw the great film once

  • Clint stared in a great WW2 film of Japanese soldiers marooned on an Island first fighting, then slowly cooperating together in order to survive.I can't find it on YouTube. anyone know, it waswell made, acting was great and the human theme is a classic.

  • I'm not sure...let me see what I can find out for you.

  • The film is called None But the Brave with Clint Walker, Frank Sinatra etc... A crippled C-47 transport crash lands on a remote Pacific island. The atoll is held by a japanese platoon, also cut off from its command. Just as scared and just as determined to survive as the Americans.

I have it on video. I couldn't get it on DVD.

  • An excellent tribute to one of my childhood heroes. The background music was perfect.

  • I was born in London, England and fell madly in love with Clint Walker in the 50's. I used to watch Cheyenne and thought all American men looked like him. He is the reason i emigrated to America in 1964 when I was 21. I have yet to visit Cheyenne, Wyoming but will, one day. What an incredible hunk of a man. I am still in love with him. That gorgeous deep voice used to drive me wild.

  • Clint has a terrific website that he runs with his wife Susan. All kinds of Cheyenne memoribilia and autographs are sold there. His birthday is May 27...make sure to send him an E mail!

  • I have been trying to years to find out if Clint Walker did marry a lovely girl from Alton, IL. She and I worked together at Blocks Ice Cream store. He was dating her. I moved away and heard later that they were married and later divorced. Know anything about that?

I loved his show too and: Oh, that voice!

  • To AltonHi,

Clint Walker is my Great Uncle. [his twin sister is my grandmother] His first wife was from Alton and her name is Lucy. My family tells me that they were married for about 15 years. I hope that helps with your question! :]

  • They DO NOT make them like Clint anymore! He is a personal friend and we have visited him several times in California and he has been my inspiration since I was a lil kid!His photo was on many refrigerators,I'm sure, including my moms!He was a mans man and all the ladies loved his looks and soft personality. He would have gone much further in Hollywood but would not do any movies with profanity or nudity! How many nowadays can say that?!He is now 80 and will be 81 on MAY 30th...What a MAN!!

  • Wow...if only I could say that Clint was a personal friend...You, my friend, are lucky and privileged indeed!

  • Thank you so much for answering my question. It is just something that I have always wondered about. Even when I would be back to Alton for a visit, no one could answer my question. I certainly watched his shows and movies and enjoyed them all. If you ever see him, tell him an old Block's ice cream worker was asking about him and also a Happy Birthday wish for the one coming up later this month. Thanks again.

  • Thank you for the lovely tribute. I had a major crush on Clint when I was about 14. I had dozens of his pictures on my bedroom wall, including the one of him shirtless holding an axe! Sigh. I am so happy to see that he is alive and well and content.

  • He was (and still is) a very handsome man. I'm also glad that he's living a good life in his 80's :)

  • He sure is :)

  • thanks for sharing, this insight, of a truly great western star.

  • I'm happy you enjoyed a little glimpse into the big man's life :)

  • I have great memories of him from my childhood. His gentle strength and nobility served as great traits to attempt to emulate.

  • Me too...as a young girl I thought he would be the perfect father.

  • Saunders49 is right, Clint's deep barotone voice merits mention as well. I ran out of space in my last entry but I can hear that voice resonating in my mind still today, just as it did when I was a kid watching 'Cheyenne.'

  • oh yes, what a lovely manly voice he had. I don't think there are any actors right now who have a baritone voice.

The only other voice I can think of that came close to Clint's is Gregory Peck. I adored that man as well.

  • Thanks a million baybea for this jewel.Besy wishes Rob.

  • thank you Rob and glad you enjoyed the video.:)

  • When he was born it's as if God or nature decided, "This guy gets to pick up all the marbles." In his prime he stood 6'6" tall with a 48" chest and 32" waist---impossible measurements for ordinary mortals. Then he was given thick black hair and crystal clear blue eyes. Probably the only actor in Hollywood to lose parts because he was too good looking and dwarfed the stars he appeared with. When I was a kid Cheyenne was my hero. I wanted to be just like him. I'm not, but I remember trying to be.

  • Your'e forgetting that absolutely magnificent voice of his.He could give any Hollywood star a run for the money in the best-looking department. Not one of today's stars look anything like Clint. They all look like little boys.

  • You are right. I don't seem to see the dignity or a 'regal' appearance in the actors of today. Maybe it's a bygone era now.

  • A great job done here for the great man,a real life hero.

  • Thank you. I wanted to make a video that reflected his good taste in roles, his numerous parts and also, his stance of good looks and larger than life qualities. He really is a very very nice man from everything I have read on him in books and the internet.

  • Gorgeous man, great actor! Played the cowboy with believability. I love all of his movies,my fav is Night of the Grizzly.

  • I think I am going to make a Clint Walker movie fest one Saturday soon and rent some of his movies. They hardly show any on T.v.

  • A great actor and what a HUNK!

  • Oh yes, he was both lol.

  • I was always disappointed when they would show Sugarfoot or Maverick in place of Cheyenne.

  • He just suited that cowboy image didn't he.

  • I remember watching Cheyenne more than 50 years ago with my parents. I am now one of Clint's biggest fans with three personalized autographs of his as well as a signed dvd of The Dirty Dozen. When God made Clint He broke the mold. That amazing face and physique was complimented by his smooth baritone voice. Visit Clint's website to find out what "the big man " is up to nowadays." God bless you for remembering and honoring a true western hero.

  • I keep thinking I should get an autographed photo of him. I think I may do that this year.

Thank you for commenting and enjoying this video. :) ~bea

  • my favorite cowboy star. very likable and was he big!clint should step up on the platform with the duke and james arness. they were our heroes!

  • great man

  • Wow I just found this video! Clint is one of my favorite actors, classy and humble. I would love to meet him and just say hello, and tell him my memories of some of his performances. He is one of a kind !!!!!!!

  • He has a website with an email address...check above in the box.

  • Clint Walker was a big man. Some don't like to be big, because they don't fit in. Clint, or Norman, or any other name that who liked to be called by, Clint you are outstanding. I miss you, and does a couple of other people here.

    Thanks Baybea.

  • Often used in the Spanish language, particularly from the Caribbean: ¡Qué tipazo!

Happy to see this post and homage to a really great actor and a very kind man. Thank You!!!

  • YW...and thanks for commenting :)

  • Good job. Can you make one of these for Joel McCrea - another favorite of mine?

  • hmm...I have to look him up..not familiar with his name

  • this guy would have been a great Superman for the tv series that George Reeves starred in

  • In a sea of crap videos posted on YouTube, it's nice to see something done with a lot of class and grace, just like the subject. I'm 58 now, was a mere snip of a lad when Cheyenne was on, and remember it well. Warner Bros has released the 1st season on DVD and I picked it up from Netflix. A real winner. I recommend it enthusiastically.

  • I've been a fan of Clint's for about 45 years, it's so nice to have the chance to look back, i wish him well, and i hope he lives for a long time to come,a true Gentle Giant....................

  • An honest and good-living man. A fine example..Good Luck to him...Thanks for posting this.

  • you're welcome...it was a pleasure to research and make :)

  • I remember watching Clint Walker when I was a young boy growing up. I enjoyed watching the Western movies.Too bad none are made today. he's a handsome actor.

  • thank you for taking the time to put this togther

  • Baybea, you got this perfect. Love the lone violin. Clint is a Star. A man's man. Yet I suspect he was not happy in his own body.

  • that was beautiful! thanks for sharing =)

    alex

  • You are so welcome :) I have a real soft spot for the elderly.

  • Awesome tribute Bea!!! I loved watching him on tv! Boy this brought back so many memories- Loved the old stuff!

Thanks for sharing ... a favorite!

  • As I was putting this video together I was wondering in my head how many people would actually remember him. I'm so glad you did! I may surprise you with more old stuff like this in the future ;) ((Martha))

  • Very cool !!! I can't wait!!!

  • sweet.... yes im half Italian...

  • What's the other half? Do they get along? lolol

  • The guy was in shape...I watched 'Cheyenne' as a kid. I liked him over John Wayne ..in fact I think a guy like this should have gotten more of the Duke's bigger than life cowboy parts. I agree about the voice and calming affect it was unique.

  • Hey, know what? I agree with you. Not to insult any John Wayne fans at all, but Clint seemed to suit the cowboy part even though he was born in a city. Must have been his size.

  • that was so beautiful thanks for sharing

  • I'm glad you enjoyed watching. I love making videos like this. Before You Tube, I would gather information on my computer about some of my favourite people until I loaded up too much and my son would tell me I have too much junk in my Pictures area lol. Now, I have videos! thanks for watching :)

  • That was lovely! He sure has aged nicely! Wow!

  • He sure has...still a full head of hair. Although, I think he shrunk a little but so have I already by 1/2 inch!! hehe waaahhh

  • Cool, I haven't heard about Clint Walker yet but I guess this is what your biography project is all about :>

  • If you check out the two links I posted in the box, you can read a little more about him. And, if you key in Clint Walker here on YT, there is only one video clip of him and Jack Benny. There, you can hear his magnificent voice. :)

  • He's the reason I married a Tall, dark and handsome man. After 36 years - he still takes my breath away. Thanks, this was so nice. xoxoxooxox

  • oh how lovely! Show your husband what you said here...I'm sure he'll like it :) Thanks for watching Lissa

  • My absolute pleasure. Thank you!

  • Oh, I remember Clint Walker. He filled the screen with his presence; you just knew the bad guys were in for a rough time with him around. This is a very sweet tribute to a legendary actor.

  • Yes exactly, and as a child I thought to myself that if he were my dad, NOTHING bad would ever happen to me. Funny the things you remember from your childhood. There was a genuiness in his eyes and demeanor; not like other Hollywood Stars. Most probably because he just fell into it; it was never a desire for him to become a star. Danke ((Urgelt)) for watching and commenting
