I find this a rather disappointing discussion. It's far too vague to say that the risks of doing business in Russia are due to circumstances and history. What circumstances? What history? I suspect it's the legal environment - the lack of transparancy in the ownership and accountability of companies. There are too many companies dominated by the whims of a single fat cat, financed by energy or metals. Mr Putin has made some great progress in sorting this but there's still a lot more to do!
