basically how i see it (opinion), is that she was fired and replaced with the Arizona character because she wasn't "hot" enough. she's a good looking lady. if her character had been with a man this wouldn't have come up. man and women relationship, you can look however. lesbian relationship, has to be young and hot. it has to feed the male lesbian fantasy for two hot chicks. unfair.

This was not only a political move, but I find it hardly a coincidence that McDreamy would be put on Ellen (our openly out talk show host) the day after the announcement of Brookes firing, by the same channel affiliate that was the one to fire her...Ellen an Grey's are both on ABC...good attempt to try to quell the roomers that she was fired for being an openly gay character on Grey's. ABC is playing their cards to manipulate the situation in their favor. It doesn't work for me...I ban them!!!
