  • thanks man. this vid helped me a lot. :)

  • what about the mcrypt O_o?

  • ur cool =P :D

  • I'm having a lot of problems setting this up. I set up my apache and sql servers and did everything that was said in the video. But I'm merely getting "code" instead of welcome screens. What could possibly be going wrong here? Is my server not set up right? How would I check/know?

  • NOTE: If you type in "localhost/phpmyadmin3/setup" in your browser and get the index of /phpmyadmin3/setup, you simply need to click "index.php". This will bring you to the setup page you see in the tutorial. I am using Apache server w/ Windows 7 if that helps.

  • I noticed in your phpmyadmin app, you are getting the same error I get.

Additional features have been disabled for more information click here

or something to that effect. have you figured out how to get the features

working? And if you did, can you please share what you have done ti

get it all to work?! Thank you for the tut. good job. Please slow down

alittle. Us old people need more time to absorb the information!. : )

  • hey, do i have to set up everything else too? like the PHP and etc? it tells me "#1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server" and "The mcrypt extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration." please help! GREAT VIDEO!

  • In the video you didnt say that you have to dowlnload Wamp Server.

  • @electronicsnow1 He implied it when he said multiple times "if you are using wamp server...."

  • Really really good tut. You lost me on the moving the config files near the end, but after a few tries I managed to sort it. Nicely done.

  • ATTENTION!!! If you are using xampp for your local host, don't paste phpmyadmin under sites! It won't do anything! Paste it under Mac > Applications > XAMPP > xamppfiles > and phpmyadmin is already there! Do the changes to that folder and it shoudl work! This is for a mac, I don't know what I can say for a PC Thumbs up so other people can see!!!

  • Hi. When I load it on a web browser under setup I don't get the same screen as you. Instead, it comes up with a screen that shows the folders and documents under the setup folder in the phpMyAdmin folder. I think this is the same problem as Ambusher What am I doing wrong? I'm hosting on my mac server, and I think that is apache. Isn't it integrated into the Mac OSX? (I turned it on by going to System Preferences>Web Sharing. Thank you!

  • thank you very much this video really help me thanks again

  • I saw everthink in my borwser in a folder style, I did as you told in video but there is no setup screen for me. Can u help me with that ??

  • @Ambusher306 Are you running a server side code setup like mysql or apache?

  • I got the problem that says "Cannot load or save configuration

Please create web server writable folder config in phpMyAdmin top level directory as described in documentation. Otherwise you will be only able to download or display it."

I'm sure that i did everything right. Can u help me please ?

    Thank u

  • @AhmedRadhy1985 Yes you have to have a local server running like mysql or if you are using a web service you have to upload it to that service in order for php to run.

  • Thank you this was very useful :)
