This reminds me of my great-grandfather's death. On August 1, my mom and I got a call that he had a stroke. We went to the hospital 1 hour and a half away. No one could see him for a while but when we could, when I went in, I kissed him on the cheek and whispered to him "Please don't die," and left. On August 3rd, on my birthday, my mom had to work so I was home all alone all day and as soon as my mom got home, at 5:30 pm, we got a call saying he died. He died on my birthday. RIP Papa :'(
