At the least, eight weeks. The 7th week is crucial, because that is when the kittens learn important things from their mom. You can reserve a kitten in the meantime, but just wait until they are two months old. You'll be able to take one home in no time.

i heard ragdoll cats shed less than other cats. how much do they really shed? like when they rub against your leg is there a layer of hair stuck to your pants like a tabby cat? cause i really want a cat but we used to have a tabby cat and my dad went crazy with the hair.

I have a ragdoll but she will not eat dry food. She only eats wet food. Wet food is too expensive so I mix a can of the wet food with the dry food.

What does the breeder feed them? These kitties look huge compared to mine!

The breeder was feeding them Purina® Pro Plan. Then I changed to Royal Canin Kitten 36. My kitten is still hefty not fat. Seems she has more muscle, too.

The breeder did make the comment that these kittens were "thick". Lola is my second Ragdoll and she started out "thicker" than my first. It must be in the genes!
