He looks good from the waste down with a nice heal to toe pop and he maintains it through the swing.

BAD: He does appear to be casting, possibly because of the initial high back elbow position. (causing a longer looping swing than necessary)

He is also not following through completely. Very fixable issues with the right instruction.

I'd take this kid in a heartbeat on my 16U AAU travel team! He's got quick hands and just needs some tweaking.

speckles..they end up back on their foot BUT they all get to the toe..if you dont get on the toe you just AINT transfering your weight in the ultimate manner..if you SQUISH you are just counter rotating your weight shift..look at slo mo video,,you'll see it almost 100 percent of the time...

most of the good players come from hot neighborhooods like los mina do the scouts see them of course dont besides discrimination is still up and wheneve they see a white and a latino with the same stats they pick the white becuase they think he wont make as problems or have the same personalitie and that is discrimation. here to go to an academy you need to be gooooooddd they dont accept you like that

Well, let's run down the list: one of the most important aspects of developing a powerful swing is the theory of 'hitting around an axis' - coiling.

From what I see from this kid: there is a presence of shoulder and hip synch - good; instead of hitting around an axis, he following straight through( Bad) - which is causing him to lean over; and he doesn't display 'leading with the hips' - reducing the coil.

...but these can be fixed with player/player analysis.

What flaws? I see a Miguel Cabrera type swing. Ok his only flaw may be that he's a little on the front foot too much and his body is leaning forward a little bit. But it's just batting practice, it doesn't look like he's swining that hard anyway. His "game" swing maybe a little better.
