  • thank you for this video Wayne. Kisses from Brazil. I love your videos and you are real, giving us real opinions

  • Umm.....

  • Oh no, too late:( But thx!!! :-)

  • I agree so much, they are just being money grabbers at that point and it's not fair. Thanks for the information and being so straightforward. I'm loving your videos.

  • I'm just addicted to your videos D:

  • thank u so much for this video..i was looking o buy one of these and your right they all cost like 20 quid...but now i know y and i also now know it cn be found much cheaper...xxxx kisses to u and thanks a

    mil xxx

  • He is soo sexy! haha ;D

  • sonia kashuk at target sells them for a little over 5 dollars! would be ridiculous to pay 20

  • @gossmakeupartist

You should call this video 'Overpriced Private Labeling' :)

  • I love love these sponges even better that they're a bargain :D

  • i can't find anywhere to buy these in the UK :\ i looked on ebay and it just showed results from hong kong and the US -.-

  • @HannahHysterics theres a link to buy them in the desccription :)

  • @TheLilmissLucy ahh thankyou! :) didn't notice that haha

  • hahah naughty hahah <3 your cute.x

  • Sonia Kashuk does this

  • oh, i love how you say NAUGHTY.

  • walgreens had it for $9. still a little too high for me but I'm going to target and get a few .

  • What do you use to clean the sponge? do you think using a shampoo would be harsh on sensitive skin?

  • @KenzieH101 baby shampoo would be fine. or a mild soap and water.

  • well now u using beauty blender on u kim kardashian concealer tutorial.... im kinda confused now. so which one u recomend this non label blending sponge or beauty blender. since i saw u raving about how good beauty blendernis on ur latest video

  • @silverplus02 LeFemme5278 has a video in a couple comparisons....i don't think there is much difference, honestly.

  • I think you're fantastic.

  • thank u... Wayne...

  • Good to know! Thanks so much for keeping it real, Wayne!

  • Love your honesty. I have been looking into the beauty blender and couldn't tell what the difference between it and other sponges. Now i know and target has one for around $6.00.

  • Thx alot!!

  • You're an amazing make up artist! =)

  • nice!

  • Being transparent! I love that about you!!!

  • Thanks for sharing goss!

  • Love your honesty and passion coming through...You really love make up and thank you for taking a stand. You inspire me. I'm going to be taking classes to be a make up artist at age 42! lol...thank you again.

  • Those are NOT the same as the Beauty Blender. I have both and they are very different in texture and in softness. Just wet them both and you´ll see that the BB actually gets twice the size of the other one, and gives a much more natural and even finish. The cheaper one is just a regular sponge shaped like an egg, while the BB is made of much better material. The difference in price reflects the difference in quality. You shouldn't tell people they're the same, when they are clearly not.

  • @MAKEUPalooza im pretty sure he said to use you own judgement when buying them... to keep an eye out.. of coarse theyre not all going to be made from the same material, i think he meant watch out for those that may be the same thing... dont spend more money than you have you... and by all means if you feel like one works better than the other then go ahead and use it... like he says in ALL of his videos... its just make up..... and at the end of the day its just his opinion.

  • @MAKEUPalooza Maybe you need to watch this again as he actually said they are different to the beauty blender as these ones featured are made of a different material! Get your facts straight!!

  • thanks sweetie for the info.

    love watching your videos.

    From Florida

  • Does anyone know where i can get a beauty blender for $4 in the U.S.? I know Sonia Kashuks is $10 at target and Ulta carries them too, but the nearest Ulta to me is an hour away :( maybe even a trusted ebay seller anyone knows about? Thanks!

  • @ezzymon check on ebay some people ar selling them for about 2 dollars just type in "beauty blender" in ebay search engine.

  • Having used both the beauty blender and the much cheaper version in the UK I have to say that you get what you pay for. The £4 version went STRAIGHT in the bin. The toughness and the durability actually makes them so much harder, and the sponge is much denser - the beauty blender is much softer and has an almost suede-like feel to it, whereas the £4 version really is just a sponge. Obviously, this may just be me, but I definitley believe that the beauty blender is the way to go!

  • I completely agree with you, it's absolutely ridiculous! I feel bad for people who have bought these already from MAC.

If you're in the UK, you can find them in Superdrug for around £3 - they are exactly the same. £3 is definitely a more reasonable price for what is, let's face it, just a sponge. x

  • I have the pink one he's holding and it cost me £4-5. Got it from superdrug. But have a feeling it was packaged with Cosmopolitan or similar label on the package. 4-5

  • 2:16 : "it's really naughty" haha

  • I am SO insanely glad you made this video! I was looking at the beauty blender and thought "I am not paying $20+tax for this little $#&@" I have to get these now since they're more durable, you said? Same with these BH Cosmetics/Coastal Scents/Celia Makeup. They get their palettes from China and charge almost $40 for a palette when they're on Ebay sold starting at 99 cents without a label.

  • @femmefatale1990 Exactly. Those palettes were originally made for a company named "Manly" (yes... thats the name) in China. That brand is incredibly popular in China because its cheap and you can get almost every color in the rainbow. I love it when I hear people say that China is making knock offs of Coastal Scents, so cute and naive.

  • @onecrazyfrau Really? wow, interesting. I had no idea people thought they were ripping off Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics....sad.

  • Crap! Wish Id seen your comment before I ordered a coastal scents palette. I had no idea they were being sold on ebay that cheap -__-

  • @femmefatale1990 Hunny what pallets are you buy from CS that are 40 bucks? My BH, and CS pallets were no more than $15 bucks without tax. GOOD LORD!!! If BH and CS were $40, they wouldn't be earning my business! =P

  • THANX

  • omg thanks so much! sonia kasha's beauty blender is ridiculously priced hear in the US!

  • I heard that MAC does private labeling with their brushes from Crown brush...but Mac brushes cost 3-5 times more

  • THANKS SO MUCH!!!!.....for the information!

  • @cheeky330 theres a site in th discription bar xxx :)

  • yeah how are beauty blender any different to any other ordinary sponge?

  • Thank you for this, Wayne!! I picked up those exact sponges in Ulta for a nice, affordable price of $4.99. I saw a brand in Target that wanted $10 for one. Then, there's the Beauty Blender that goes for $20! Why would I pay $10/$20 for a SPONGE?! A sponge!! Expensive is not always better!

  • Isn't MAC's version of like like $18 or so? Hm...wonder where I can find a cheap version of that int he US?

  • @L0v3brittany They sell them in ulta anywhere from 2.50-5 dollars.

  • @L0v3brittany Sonia Kashuk

  • i have the love makeup version in black and the pink cosmopolitan version from superdrug( so i cud tell them apart)... but they are not exactly the same, the cosmo 1 is softer n more 'squidgy' (lol) thn the love makeup one. i prefere the love-makeup sponge and am gonna order another :)

  • Thank you.

  • i like his house :)

  • u can buy them from qosmedix.com for $1.95

  • @fangisnotmyname do you know if they ship to europe? or is it just usa? do you know of a website with international delivery?

  • @madiiwarsaw Qosmedix ships orders to any country in the world that has trade relations with the United States of America. so it just depends on what country u live in.

  • @fangisnotmyname Thanks a lot! Poland obviously does have trade relations with the US so... thanks :)

  • @madiiwarsaw also, check out their website, they have tons of stuff their, and u can buy the little ball shaped disposable mascara wand from them that gossmakeupartist talked about b4

  • thank you. Love you. I've subscribed.

  • i hope we have something like that here in norway :(

  • alot of makeup in general cost wayyy more than it should.

  • I bought one today. They sell them at Ulta. The brand is Basically U and it was about 4 dollars. Didnt even know they carried them.

  • Its really really naughty! lol... I think u are really Naughty ;)

  • Ooo I want the pink and black one!!! Too bad I don't live in the UK :-/

    Great videos :-)

  • @soonergoddess82 Ebay?

  • Yuh are so rite in target dey ony cost a few dollars but in mac shit cost a lot more...shame

  • Where I'm from they charge anywhere from $16, $26 to $30 for one!!! Its retarted!

  • Ah, thank you so much for this video! I kept hearing the hype regarding the Beauty Blender and it felt kind of silly to spend nearly $20 for a sponge. I found a generic one at Ulta and paid $5 for it in the U.S. It is more dense than the actual Beauty Blender, most people would say that's a negative thing, but I really wasn't sure, and couldn't find an answer to my question.. Until now :) Thank you so much!

  • I can get those sponges in the US for $3.25 :) They are better quality than the Sonia Kashuk one

  • @msmlolipop where did u buy it? thanks

  • These are the same as the Sonia Kashuk ones in the US sold at Target. Only they are blue.

  • I think I bought one in the states at Target a while ago, if that helps.

  • Never seen those in the US

  • hey can u tel me where i can get this in uk..i checked on google and all i could find were relly expnsive ones..£14,£15?

  • Comment removed

  • so cute when he says "naughty" lol

  • I love that you do videos like this. :)

  • Wayne.. if you were saying the other way round about the expensive sponge I would still believe you. You know what you're saying and also very believable!

  • Thankyou very thoughtful

  • thanks for looking out for all consumers.

  • Could not agree more. Seen a lot of nasty examples.

  • it seems to me that this blending sponge is no longer available on love-makeup... any ideas where i can get this?

  • You are an amazing person. I appreciate you caring about us. Thank you!

  • You are awesome ;0)

  • really naughty

    XD

  • You are awesome. Thank you for sharing that.

  • love-makeup don't seem to have it anymore =/

  • @BlueEyesDontLiex3 yeah, was looking for it too, nothing. I cannot buy in the UK and have to order from there. Hopefully I find something else, I am investigating which items can work as such a blender.

  • Part of the price hike is because they have to buy into the patent rights or else wait the full 7 years for the patent to expire before they can sell/manufacture it (which of course by then with our short attention spans we will all be onto something else) but there will always be suckers out there who think if it's more it must be better. I'm betting these companies are counting on it in fact. ;) Funny how fickle and predictable consumers can be isn't it?

  • Thanks for the video. I recently saw one of these but didnt buy it as it was £16.99. Certainly not worth that!!!!

  • can you please tell me where i can gt these for £4 in the uk?

    thanks so much

  • @cheeky3300 you can get them at superdrug for £4.99

  • @cheeky3300 there's a link in the description

  • @cheeky3300 it says in the description box

  • @cheeky3300

they were in superdrug. Don't know if they still are. :)

  • @cheeky3300 He put a link in the down bar.

  • @cheeky3300 Superdrug xx

  • @cheeky3300 I found one in superdrug which was £4 and it's exactly the same as the pink one that he's got and it's a superdrug product.

  • @Babski95 oooh thanks, i was just going to ask if anyone knew :)

  • is this the same as the sonia kashuk's???

  • why are the beauty blenders so popular? how are they any diff. from a regular sponge? someone plz answer

  • @ColourToYourWorld They're so much better than a normal sponge. I don't know why, but watch some videos on how to use it, you can't use them just like a normal sponge.

  • @ColourToYourWorld I am no expert but what I have seen is that these sponges are shaped in a way that allows you to follow the contours of your face and roll them easier as opposed to just dabbing with a rectangular shaped sponge. They are also very soft and seem to be more comfortable in your hand. I hope someone that knows their benefits more than me chimes in. Hope that helps!

  • @ColourToYourWorld he answerd you in video. They are firmer. I i know for fact that they dont absorb too much liquid foundation (dont make you look cakey). (sorry for mistakes in message, english in my 3rd language).

  • @ColourToYourWorld

It rolls foundation on. Sponges suck it up.

  • @ColourToYourWorld i think it's because you can reuse these sponges non like the others where you have to throw them out after only a couple uses. Not completely sure .......Either way not worth the money!! :)

  • @ColourToYourWorld any other comment I saw answering to you is ok for me, but also I must say the BBlender gives a so natural finish like really you don't wear any foundation. I recommend to try it, or its clones (but not the sephora one, it doesn't work! you must search for a sponge that works in the same way). Personally I paid a lot when I bought it,cos at that time I only knew the BB and the sephora one. I tried the sephora one first, thrown it away and bought the BB. Lack of pub? maybe.

  • @ColourToYourWorld The shape is easier to work with and, I believe, they're latex free. But I think the biggest reason they're so popular is the shape.

  • @ColourToYourWorld I guess this sponge is very popular ´cause are latex free, I have tried beautyblender for 1 year already and when you appplied the foundation on your face with this the finish look is complete different that with a normal sponge. I guess is better for u too see some tutorials here in youtube, but when u tried it the result is amazing...

  • @ColourToYourWorld sa true

  • I agree Wayne. I found the company in the US that sells these and refuse to pay double, triple or even more for the exact same product.

  • And to think I was going to buy this fron Target for $13.00! D:

Thanks for helping me dodge that bullet Wayne!

  • Thanks for the heads up, I will shop more warily in future.

I really enjoy your videos and look forward to your great tutorials. I have even got my 17 and 19 year old daughters hooked! They spend hours practising their makeup and look so much better for it.

  • how do you make a long nose look shorter with makeup??

  • I bought a bag from an Australian company, Forever New, for about £50. I found the exact same bag at New Look for £34.99. Not such a big price difference but a difference nonetheless.

The bag was exactly the same, even the lining. The only difference was the label stitched in on the inside.

  • Oh my gosh. I was going to buy the Beauty Blender. Thanks for giving us the heads up!

  • THANKS FOR TELLING US :) x

  • just got this from ulta... I like it alot!

  • I totally agree with you! Thanks for saying what everyone is thinking.

  • no wonder forever 21 has the same exact products as e.l.f ....

  • that's what coastal scents and bh cosmetics do. it;s the same pallette, costs .25 cents in china, costs 20 bucks in usa

  • How about "Pound for Pound Products" good title.

  • thankyou for alllways being respectfull and honest with us <3

  • I love and value you honesty

  • respect...!

  • which stores in the uk can we buy those sponges at a good price?

  • I bought this from a Korean brand(etude house), and immediately thought of you!! Thanks Wayne xxx

  • hi dear,

sorry I have a bad understanding of english.. so... are you saying that this sponge (similar than sonia kashuk, and available on lovemakeup.co,.uk) is good as beauty blender?

  • Hi Wayne, someone else here had a great idea! Can you please do "Doll Eyes" ?? Really, I'd love to see that!! I bought a mascara that said "Doll Eyes", but it wasn't all that. Can you please do one? I hope so. Hugs!!!

  • @TheLAOM Listen kiddo-like I said before U came 2 a "make-up" video(unless your lost??) in any event, U came 2 a "Makeup"video to learn right? • Great new video! It's so weird how people think a name can make a product better. Just go for whats best, whether it be drugstore, mid-pricerange or high end stuff, just pick whats best for you, it's that simple.

  • Wayne, you have a lot of integrity, and I think it's fantastic how you watch out for a person's pocketbook.
