  • Hey, are u stupid? The students are not been paid by U.S. I'm a student and I'm move by what is happening in my country and hoping that the near future is going to be the best for each of us. I'm againstsome of Chavez's ideas because, I love my country. Unlike some others who are in a stupid war were young people are being killed and they do few about it. Move your asses(take an example).

  • Evidence has surfaced that the US funded the NO campaign including student groups, you personally yourself didn't get paid, but resources in some of the group were provided. Frankly, as someone who has traveled to your country plenty of times and respects your president, frankly I think he was moving too fast and was too over-confident. His supporters instead told him--show us your record for second term first, before you get rewarded for more.

  • > he wanted to take all the children who were under 3 years old and have them raised by the army,... " LOL. That was a joke right?

No that was no joke. That is what the opposition propaganda said. The student groups were mostly funded by the USA by the way. The USA spent some millions of dollars on this election. Socialism can not work as long as the USA exists.

  • thank you real news, keep the good work

  • so many USA medias with egg on their face....

  • Chavez is doing great things for his country. Through history there were many great leaders that did greater things for their country, yet its is so easy to get corrupted, derailed, or mislead. Saying NO to unlimited leadership term is vital to Venezuela.

The great change in the path of where Venezuela should go & the rarity of great visionary leaders, Chavez may need more time. I hope that he is wise enough to start grooming a candidate that can carry the torch of "Power to the people."

  • Well said. I agree.

  • If you are living in Venezuela and talking like you must be ignorant... you dont know anything about venezuela and what chavez has done to the country...

and yes, he lost because he wanted to be president forever, and he wanted to take all the children who were under 3 years old and have them raised by the army,... SO AFTER YOU START KISSING CHAVEZ'S ASS, GO READ THE CONSTITUTION HE WANTED TO APPLY

  • lol, this is part of the reason the opposition was so successful. far too many people in veneuezla believe in this kind of baloney. money well spent by the CIA.

  • bullshit, you are just repeating the opposition propaganda, the children thing that you mention means that anyone born in Venezuela would be a responsibility of the government from schooling to health.

  • yea sure, and thats why HIS NEW AMAZING constitution won.... CALLATE LA BOCA IGNORANTE DE MIERDA

  • the only ones repeating propaganda are the chavistas.... please...

  • "he wanted to take all the children who were under 3 years old and have them raised by the army,... " LOL. That was a joke right?

  • eso era totalmente real

    pero no se lo permitimos!!!

  • i agree too

  • venezuala has a national initiative and we don't. We should take that as a sign.

  • Mike Gravel wants us to have one. And we also would be lawmakers.

  • I hope Chavez is mentoring potential successors that could stand up in his place and continue his work.

I wonder if they'll be able to find foreign(CIA) influence or funding on the No side?

  • The Chavistas were disorganized. They were engaged in only demos. I think the socialist reforms should have had a separate vote from the term limit vote, simply because the term limit vote is the most controversial. I don't believe in term limits for MY OWN country, so why should I want them for other countries?

  • Agreed including no term limits was a mistake, I hope he can pass another change (making central bank accountable, ect) without this term limits.

  • this guy is great, i bought his book
