Frank is one thoughtful and intense dude. I wish he were still around.... his voice is sorely missed in these (still messed up) times. ...He definitely should have mentioned the name of the animator on baby snakes, Bruce Bickford, an insanely talented artist in his own right.

How was he fearful or ignorant? He was pro-legalization. He just didn't enjoy smoking it himself (from experience) and was also not too amused with the silly glorification of the drug by the 60s drug culture. And of course he's being biased. The publication asked for his opinion so why wouldn't he be biased? There's no shortage of assholes telling you how great it is to smoke weed. Zappa resented being lumped in with such people simply b/c his music was creative.

don't expect anything so if you get something, it's a bonus. Frank didn't eliminate desire but he just took a practical approach. this chronic frustration is usually caused by high expectations and postponements.
