Pretty pathetic for such an easy job. And no, I have not worked for UPS. But I have met and talked to hundreds of people who worked either as a pizza deliverer, cashier, taxi drivers and the like. And guess what? Those jobs pay less than the UPS drivers and they have to deal with the public less often. So where is their excuse for being garbage employees and humman beings.

It's not an easy job. UPS drivers may look like they have an easy job, but they have LOTS of crap to deliver, and a very short timeframe in which to get it ALL delivered. They don't make that time, they get fired. Think about that next time you're ordering stupid shit off the internet.

For the record, most damages to packages are the result of box jams, and improperly packaged stuff.

So yeah, if you can't accept that, then don't order stuff and have it shipped through a package handling service. At least if you do, don't bitch about it afterward.

@RalphCQ I think you are missing the point. A parcel company is not doing the logistical sorting and delivery of packages as a free service. They are paid. They are paid to sort, handle, and deliver the goods. If you can't understand that, then I can't help you my friend. And to anyone doing a job they do not like, they need to change jobs.

The problem is, TIME. They don't have TIME to be gentle with stuff, 9 times out of 10. So just pack your stuff correctly, make sure it's taped up to where it won't fall open, make sure there's plenty of padding inside the box so the stuff doesn't get damaged... Doesn't matter what you think, that shit's gonna get thrown around.

Then I heard something fell on the ground and went outside saw the package 5 feet away from my fence I was like awww hell noooooo!!! My system was fine but my game case for smash bros was broken. I Have worked at Ups for five years now. Throwing the package at the customer is kind of unique. You wont see that happen much. What you dont see happening is what should concern you lol. If you ship UPS you can be confident that your package will be thrown/kicked/ and possibly given a roundhouse punch by a angry/overwhelmed employee.

i worked with several courier firms, all big ones and i can tell you what you see on these videos is nothing compared to what actually happens to the goods, these bigger firms dont care about your goods, all they want is your cash so make sure that when you pack a parcel that it can be dropped from ten feet and can be kicked without damage, employees are over worked and under paid and treated like crap so morale is at a all time low

Shipping clerks are to blame for all broken items, because they didn't use enough packing paper, bubble wrap, or reinforced strapping tape. Packages get thrown, drop kicked, even crushed. Just part of the shipping process. If you do your own packaging then for god sakes buy some bubble wrap and packing paper at the very least. And if you know a cardboard box and bubble wrap wont protect it... put it in a crate and ship it truck. duh.

Even if we (package handlers) don't abuse the packages, we still find them busted all to hell due to lack of proper packaging. I've seen glass bottles with no protection in a paper thin box...all it takes is one accident and bye bye bottles of wine or whatever.

It scares me that common sense is giving way to stupidity. I know it LOOKS bad, but that box was light as a feather and the driver KNEW he nothing was gonna break. Why should people strain their backs to lower the box as if it contained eggs to put on a show for the customer? Companies need not back down from the customer if they complain and say look, this is how it works. There are only 3 companies to chose from. Whats the customer gonna do? Never send/receive a package ever again?
