  • Finally!!! Some true guitar innovations @ NAMM - not "signature this" and "reissue that"

  • what the fuck. my mind has been blown

  • I'd love to see Troy Van Leeuwen with this thing

  • uhm adding a vocoder will be so intence!!

  • Btw. this thing so bad ass.

  • Yea this is Premier Guitar not CNN. Who cares about the reporter. They ask good questions and let the gear and rep speak for itself. Also, get over Rebecca, you people are creepy.

  • I'd love to see Robert Randolf get his hands on this...

  • Why are the top comments not about how incredibly groundbreaking, useful and simply put, awesome that 335 is? I just don't get youtube sometimes. Charles is clearly not stoned either... Trust me; I'm Dutch. I recognize someone flying high from a mile away..!

  • @francescotaranto90 Thats cause putting a sustaniac on a lap steel is not... are you sitting down? "groundbreaking" nor awesome. Its a way to sell equipment to gullible amateur musicians.

  • @zer0dahero Are you kidding me? You seriously don't hear the musical value of this? You don't see how this instrument might sound beautiful in an arrangement, and could be used for hundreds of recording purposes?

  • @francescotaranto90 Ofcourse I do, I'm simply pointing out that this is NOT some amazing innavative technology, its just a sustaniac in a lapsteel. So, I have you say to you... Are you kidding me, don't you see the simplicity of this mod? btw, have you ever heard David Gilmore's "one of this days" solo on the lap steel? He didn't use a sustaniac on his lap steel for the solo. If you need this, you probably lack playing ability. I know I lack ability myself.

  • Cool. Nicer if in tune, however...

  • Mind? Blown.

  • Nice.

  • I WANT Rebecca Dirks BACK NAOW

  • So they put in a sustaniac in it and call it inovative technology?

  • @zer0dahero

I love my sustainiac but it cant do the single stick controlled sustain

  • @jw112mail Sure you can. As you can see in this vid, he's palm mutting the strings he doesn't want to ring out. If you can't do it with a straignt slide, get a "bottle slide" that has curvs in it which allow you to slide on a single string without touching the otherts with the slide. Any good lap sleel player can play amazing melodies on single strings. Watch "Pink Floyd - One Of These Days Live 1987" and see for yourself. You'll figure how to do it, eventually.

  • fuckin love charles

  • And people laughed at me when I bought my Gibson robot, I said music and equipment were going this way. I hate it when I am right. But that lap steel was brilliant.

  • @billyb440 I like that kind of new technology (not so new considering sustainer/sustainiac) but you're wrong if you think that is the future. We, guitarists, are really conservative.

  • @Youreallysuckguy Personally, I think it's an interesting new way to approach guitar playing, I have a Fernandes sustainer installed in my PRS and it's quite fun to play with. But I think Moog is taking the idea further than any of the other people, you can only sustain 1 string well with a sustainer, or at least mine, but Moog's improving it to all the strings and reverses the prospect...I'd love to have one, if only for the entertainment value in it.

  • @APJleader I agree with you. The moog system is like an evolution of the sustainer (I have a sustainiac), and that's cool we can buy a guitar with a traditional body with it inside !

  • @Youreallysuckguy No, you are wrong, so very very wrong. Ipod, Ipads, computers are all allowing us guitarists a level of freedom that we never had before. I record and write music using a computer to multi track, to record ideas or rifts for use later, I can come up with a riff in the middle of the day and put it in an Iphone if I want to, plus I notice a lot of very up to date guitarists using the electronic world to do a lot more than I do. Conservatism / rock and roll, not

  • the pups are kinda like built in ebows

  • This thing is so cool !! I would love to see Ben Harper playing this...

  • that is a wonderful sound

  • Its perfect though, we have the smokin hot chick, and the stoned guy acting younger than he should.

  • Charles is awesome

  • lap steels are now on my must have list.

  • What is this sorcery?!

  • LOVE that lap steel!! Nice to see Charles more often, too!

  • moog ruined music. boycott there products

  • @CMSpida As a Rush fan I disagree.

  • @acledfloyd ok its the reason modern pop sucks. Synthesisers are the reason there's no talent in the charts today

  • @CMSpida I see what you mean. I just can't help but think Rush when I hear about Moog, they are the major (if not only) supplier of synthesizers for them. Anyway have a good one.

  • The lap steel is killer.

  • @theultimaterockr would you not be in his position?

  • Folks, stop being so superficial. Your acting like this is a gossip channel. Focus on the guitar part of the video, and stop the childish comments about the interviewer.

  • This video would be better with Rebecca

  • @ThieleM true... the way she holds a microphone in front of someone simply brings out the best in the instruments... Nobody can hold a microphone and stand just off camera like her. :|
