This is the most entertaining thing Ive watched on Youtube so far. I love building stuff and this is wildly entertaining, I honestly really want to see this thing work now.
@JMEMantzel Wow, Don't you hate throwing out hundreds of hours of work.... That sucks. Happened to me in my web project, I had to throw almost a year of work out. Best luck to you.
Looks kickass J! man you're skilled with your hands. I seriously cannot wait to see this machine done and working. what I too would do for a mill or lathe, ugh, drilling holes in shafts dead center with a drill press just doesn't cut it for me!
You just feel a government contract coming for this thing. Make as much money possible if they muscle ya into it. lol I really hope I didn't offend you. ;)
Well, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for that. ha ha. I've never made any money off any of my creations. There's been plenty of feigned interest, but nothing real.
You know... when someone is like, thats so amazing! I want to be your business partner... a week later, never hear from them again. Business people are so silly. So, ya. I'm really not going to worry about such silliness.
Well unlike your books or toys, which were not too popular. Everybody'll want your giant spiderbot, so, many companies or even corporations would try to by the license from you and start their own production without paing to you or smth like that, trick you in a way. So you ought to be able (to be tough enough*) to say NO many times until the really good deal shows up, the deal that will help you to make not a profitable business but revolution) all the best to you and your project
My book is pretty popular for having zero marketting... and don't know anyone who doesn't love my robot toys. Plenty of people want to buy them.
Most toy companies, and publishers don't take outside submissions unless they know you, or your agent. I'm not going to waste my life trying to push my things on someone who isn't listening.
Toughness has nothing to do with it. I'm not greedy. I'd take any remotely fair deal.
well my point is that interest to giant robat would be so great, that you cant even imagine). I wasnt trying to besmirch your books or toys, they'r great! But moving vehicle that can be armed is something from another market field totally) There would be many many ppl you don't know who would love to have your robat for different assignments. So, unlike with toys, you wouldnt have to push anything, oppositely everybody would try to suck it out from you )))
Try to suck it out from me? Hey now. Keep this PG! ha ha.
Well, I hope you're right. I hope someone comes along and says, "Dude, I'll give you moneys so you can build more things if I can have the designs, or the robot, or whatever."
Although.... it would kinda take a lot to get this robot off my hands. :-P It would have to be something super cool, or enough money for me to make something super cool. ...like cooler than this robot.
Make it a flying semi, and you got yourself a deal! ...never been into the dork cars... I mean sports cars. Those are supposed to be like penis extensions for short guys, right? Naww... I'm too utilitarian for those silly things.
I wish you were making rabbits, they are so fuzzy and cute. But then again, a giant robot with freakin lasers on it kinda balances it all out.
"This thing slides back and forth, and legs attach to it. Yeah, ill have to show you more when its in place" -Jamie. Can you add a microwave emitter (magnetron) on the top to cook burritos at long ranges?
"This thing slides back and forth, and my butt attaches to it" -the guy who invented those fancy skinny row boats.
I spose I could add a microwave emmitter. But I like my burritos close to me. Someone else might eat them if they're far away. I could microwave people. :-P
You say that like making Giant Robot Rabbits would be a bad thing

Oh, the drawer slides are for the legs. I was thinking you might use them for some sort of sliding hatch, covering the cockpit.
Will they really be strong enough to slide under the weight of the upper body?
lemuelbecc 3 years ago
Well.... strong enough yes.... but way too fine. One dent, and all the balls come flying out. I ended up rejecting them. you'll see. ;-)

Very true.....But atleast you still have a "kick ass" robot in the works, huh? lol Keep up the great work.
LLavishman 4 years ago
Well, ya. I figure, who needs loads of money when they have a giant robot! Like... I'd just be buying one anyway. ha ha. This way is more fun.
JMEMantzel 4 years ago
I think, you'll make a GREAT amount of money this time, if your robat will move and suppress. If you r tough enough to present it in a right way)
nanostake 4 years ago
So... I need to be "tough enough" to present it in a right way? hmm..... I wonder what way that is. :-P
