How to make a photo gallery with visual lightbox and dreamweaver cs3

@lmj4life I'm sure you can have as many as you want on different html pages. But i'm not sure exactly what you mean as far as placing them on the same page? I would need to hear more details.

@Sheep0989 ok, well let me tell you an example. i am going to take prof pics for 7 different people. instead of putting them into just one big file can i seperate it to 7 different portfolios with there name on it or something?

@lmj4life Yeah, Just do the process of creating an album, save that album as your first clients photos. it will generate the html and label it what you want. then create 6 more albums saving them with different names, then insert into your html generated from each saved album into whatever part of your html document you want it to be in. just separate your albums using h1 h2 h3 h4 h5 h6 tags or something. If that doesn't help i'll try to explain it better or just make a tut on it. .

@TheWouterZ You will have to pay for it to obtain it legally. I am sure there are ways to obtain it illegally but I cannot explain that. I do not think that Visual Lightbox is very expensive. If you are truely interested in this type of photo gallery, I suggest creating your own that way you can create it any way that you would like.

@TheWouterZ I would suggest building your own, look for an online tutorial for CSS or CSS3 photo galleries. they work just the same as lightbox.

If you go into the java through the engine folder it is really easy to get rid of the watermark

so i know how to do the gallery when i upload it to my hosting server it wont use the lightbox, it opens to a link. some people say i didnt add the action script in the head? it actives the light box? how do i do that?

@Movie81movie try this...open your lightbox gallery inside of lightbox, and publish the file into its own folder, this will create an 'image" and "data" file and an html document of the gallery. use the image and data files to upload in filezilla or whatever your using.

Trust me dudue i tried everything! Alot of forums say they have the same problem. it works when you preview it in the IE or firefox browser, but when uploaded to server it doesnt even show up! If you can reply back with the action script tag i need to put in the header in order to active it, im sure that will solve it! but i dont kno whow to write codes etc. Thanks!

@Movie81movie i remember one time when i was saving my document VIA dreamweaver, it told me "this file needs a script in order for this to work, we will create one for you in your so and so." and i looked and surely enough it created the script. i'll see if i can't figure out how to get the dialog box to show again. but it was by complete accident so cross my fingers. or i'll see if i can't find the script

@Movie81movie I have not, i have been busy, just graduated college and getting everything together, but i will try to make a tutorial tomorrow on uploading through filezilla, i hope it works....
