Yeah...great looking car. But you failed to discuss the excessive ROAD NOISE this car produces on anything but the smoothest asphalt surfaces! Not exaggerating in the least... test drive, or check the reviews at Edmunds. ...And oh yeah, I'm 6' tall and when I sit in the back seat, my head touches the headliner.
Love this car, with the exception of two personal drawbacks. The 2.4 engine is BUZZY. Didn't care for the engine note at all. My other complaint is that the front end of the car looks rather...Toyota-ish and bordering on ugly.
Copied, copied, copied gosh when will they ever be original and make something strictly based on their own ideas? That reason alone is why Hyundai's are still looked at as cheap knock-offs. Like buying a fake handbag instead of a real one.
@pattycarljackson There you go making sence. LOL I agree 100%. I own 2 hyundais and without a doubt the least problematic of all the new cars i have owned.
@T966ER Yeah u haters sound like a record....copy copy thats all u haters can say. Take a closer look at the Sonata real copy? LOL GDI turbo charged, interior copy? stupid hater.
i dont see what so impressive about a 2.4L 200hp car, for that i think it's pretty norm my acura RSX which is an 8 years old car is 2.0L 200hp, you make it sound like it's an impressive feat in the automotive world.
You can say the same thing about the 2.0L S2000 that came out in 2000 that had 237 HP...the problem with that is that it isn't as feul efficient (the 2002 RSX doesn't even come close to 30mpg on the high way) and doesn't produce enough torque compared to the Sonata.
@twme8 i beg to differ, i get 30 mpg running from VA to KS, the only thing this Hyundai got is regular unlead while the rsx get premium but even such i would still get the rsx, because it's an acura badge, resale would hold much longer. that is the one thing huyndai suffer from, it own image.
For my American friends, you should note that a Canadian "Gallon" is NOT the same as an American Gallon. Canadian used common sense and change to metric 30 years ago so in point of fact, we don't use any type of gallon. However, when Canadians refer to "gallon" we are talking about an international or British gallon. Americans use smaller gallons than everyone else in the world, so their fuel economy NUMBERS are smaller. Of course the cars and consumption are actually the same.

In the US it already has moved into upper end of the sales charts. It's been #3 in retail sales for the past few months.

I agree. The Sonata is a fantastic value and more people should look into getting this car.
