anyway its easy to change, really is, theres only the one cable, you just unscrew plug in and screw it all back, simple.

  • when u do this is there anything u should do with the webcam or will it not matter because i have acer aspierone zg5 netbook with a broken screen but it seems simple to do it my self goood vid helps alot

  • thanks

  • the geek squad wanted $300 off of me and I did it myself for $100

  • Original screen had extra frame with tabs to screw inverter onto. Replacement screen doesn't. Does it need tabs? Extra frame doesn't fit easily onto replacement. I can install and secure screen and inverter without extra frame. Could I install without extra frame without big issues ????

  • Well, I did it and it works beautifully! Showed the Geek Squad and got a job offer! Extra frame didn't need installing, just being careful about toting the LT around and closing it.

  • @sswltphb Yes will install and fit fine without top and bottom brackets

  • I have the same exact laptop with the same exact problem. I'm assuming that the webcam remains untouched throughout the whole process?

  • Just done this and i am by no means an expert. Thanks a lot. And the site mentioned for replacement screens is excellent!

  • this will definitely void your warranty right? well i want to replace 17.3" laptop screen with a resolution of 1600x900 with a new one with a reso of 1900x1080. i found the the model which fits with my laptop.

It just has a wire loose and i just need to tighten it.The screen works but only if you wiggle it alot.

  • Good Job........

    Thanks

  • Anyone done this on an acer aspire 5920g?

  • yep :)

  • Video and instructions are very easy to follow. Was able to successfully replace a screen thanks to this video - and I had no previous experience. I didn't think that I would need one anyway, but you most likely will not need a sharp blade. Fingernails should do. Hope this video is around for a while, thanks!
