MMa guys train boxing too. I dont know if you can actually say boxers punches are better cos even boxers quite often have to hit their opponent many times before they beat them.

A boxer needs more punches against an other top heavyweight. Not against this guy. He had no defence, no headmovement, he just stood their and took those shots clean without rowing with the punches. A serieus heavyweighthitter would take him out in a few seconds.
You have to bear in mind an mma fight is slighty different to a boxing match. In mma, one has to watch out for kicks, take downs and elbows.
Many dont bob and weave boxing style cos a good fighter can easily knock you out with a kick or knee strike. We are taught this in martial arts schools.

My favorite boxer is Ali. A cliché I know. But he could take a punch like no other, could overcome adversity and he was a real prove of the smart, skilled fighter who beated much stronger, bigger guys. But I like the ones you said 2. Tyson didn't have charachter but was very dynamic, beatifull to watch. Holy and Maricano were guys with a huge heart.

Ruben does just fine, hes very out of condition in this fight, as with most of his fights he is known as one of the best guys for taking fights with hours notice.

yeah hes lost 4 but that was in the very begginning of his career, he lost to some big asian and ken shamrock and shit, but he came back and beat em both

It also shows that an mma right hand isn't as powerfull as an boxers right hand. Do you realy believe a top heavyweight would need more then one clean shot to take this sucker out? Even old, punch druk Ray Mercer would take him down with one shot.

MMa guys train boxing too. I dont know if you can actually say boxers punches are better cos even boxers quite often have to hit their opponent many times before they beat them.
its not all one punch knockouts.
But sure, i admit, a boxers punches may have the slighter edge since they train hands only and not feet.

A boxer needs more punches against an other top heavyweight. Not against this guy. He had no defence, no headmovement, he just stood their and took those shots clean without rowing with the punches. A serieus heavyweighthitter would take him out in a few seconds.

You have to bear in mind an mma fight is slighty different to a boxing match. In mma, one has to watch out for kicks, take downs and elbows.
Many dont bob and weave boxing style cos a good fighter can easily knock you out with a kick or knee strike. We are taught this in martial arts schools.
Why do you think hardly any mma guy bobs his head? its not cos he doesnt know how, its cos he knows this is an mma fight.
I love boxing and mma heheh. :)

I meant that he didn't have any defence. That guy was a shit fight, a good puncher would knock him out in a second.But I like mma 2, but i bothers my that mma fans always say boxers are crap. Because there were a few over the hill boxers who got their ass kicked. In fact the punching of boxers is waaay better. And this fight shows it again. Bas Rutten a very good striker in mma terms, his punches are not near the level of a pro boxer his size.

They are ignorant to say that anyway cos many mma guys use boxing for their punching.
I love boxing myself and i am an mma fan too.
Yes, overall a boxers punches would be better cos they work on hands only whereas mma works on everything.

lots of mma fighters are starting to bob there heads because any fighter that goes to greg jacksons camp is most likely going up against a good striker and most mma fighters have gone to jacksons camp at some time ie tiago silva, rampage jackson, randy cotour, rashad evens gsp

A boxer only uses his hands. An mma guy doesnt. Quite a few boxers have been beaten by mma guys.

Im not sayin its impossible for a good boxer to beat an mma guy. But im saying in most cases, most mma guys will beat boxers in striking matches.

Only boxers who have been beaten by mma guys are over the hill, punchdrunk and very old has beens. Why would a boxer who can make millions in his own game go in sport he isn't trained in to make a few bucks?

My favorite boxer is Ali. A cliché I know. But he could take a punch like no other, could overcome adversity and he was a real prove of the smart, skilled fighter who beated much stronger, bigger guys. But I like the ones you said 2. Tyson didn't have charachter but was very dynamic, beatifull to watch. Holy and Maricano were guys with a huge heart.
