  • where did you get the information that popping originated or had influence from soilders comin out of the military?

  • @Igrewupafukinscrewup black resurgents, black messengers, boogaloo sam was military.. so much of it came out of the army

  • @playwit I used up all the super dope in ur mom. Sorry bro I ran out. Ask her for it back!

  • where is the SUPER DOPE sorry but thumbs doowwnnn

  • thats awesome man thank you! :D

  • nice variations man, kudos

  • Really good videos and instructions! Much appreciated!

  • keep teaching!! you're the best who explain the concept of itch movement, nice job you do!!!

  • Do it because it's so "Dang" fun! No wonder this guy is such a success. Passion, obsession, fun. And he makes you FEEL it, PLUS nobody can call him out as a poser because he has been schooled by the masters, AND knows the history. Now THAT'S LOVE! Much respect Otis, you WORKED for it.

  • @TheSubwaysurfer damn man thank you so much!!!

  • I can see this guy really enjoys popping

  • CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Nice!

  • I love u man u are sick thnx 4da help bru check check I'm out

  • Wow your a good teacher.

  • Everything your saying about twist-O-flex may or may not be correct. I'm an eastcoast popper, and was taught that twists were originally called rubex cube style because of the three main layers (legs, torso, head). It was style done in the "electric-boogaloo" days, as they were talking about in the previous comments before. lol. the name changed somewhere around the eighties, atleast according to who I've learned from. keep giving the instructionals your great at it. peace.

  • @dbrown2607 somehow i missed this! i don't know what the deal is.... i have a feeling that ALL history from the east coast is SOMEWHAT suspect considering the dance had to MIGRATE from the west coast to the east coast first... *I AM NOT DISSING EAST COAST OR BOOGIE OR ANYTHING* I'm just treating this like a historian...

An analogy: if a group of people have a tradition, and one guy from that group goes across the country and teaches it to more people, and then those people start teaching it

  • @poppingtv you quickly start having names and terminology and movements change... this is NOT a bad thing, but it *IS* how life works... I do my best to use the terminology that I have researched and believe is most appropriate and when there is a dispute, to mention it (wikipedia style lol!)... considering the guy who was most known for the style is called TWISTOFLEX DON... i think that's the "smoking gun" imo

  • @poppingtv Dope, I diggit. I mean, the same could be said with a lot of dance outside of street dance as a whole. but I mean, as far as popping on the east coast, a lot of the popping scene is dead, so anyone who's pretty much been around for the movement in it's growing days out here gets put on a pedestal, whether they deliver correct info, or not. And no one wants to put the $ up for classes because they think it's something anyone could learn so the right info never gets delivered.

  • @dbrown2607 that is for sure the truth.. people who are into popping in america are in my experience very CHEAP people! now willing to PAY for things... I will gladly say that I have paid on multiple occasions jazzy, pete, skeet, and taco for privates... IT'S LIKE HAVING ACCESS TO BARYSHNIKOV AND JUST BEING LIKE... NAHHHH.. TOO MUCH MONEY... LOL... so be it!

  • great combinations with this hella nice flex. plus positive energy you are giving. great man. peace

  • help me alot and gets more interest in boogaloo =).. but it is called electric boogaloo?..right

  • the group is called electric boogaloos... the dance is almost always called boogaloo style or boog style... if you called it electric boogaloo style, most people would make fun of you! :)

  • :D but TAF says electric boogie competition, but i think you are right anyway

  • electric boogie is the term that came out of new york. some new york people still use that term but it is now (for the most part) considered old fashioned. tiny and hypno keep the electric boogie spirit alive. much respect to them!

  • ahh btw dude i forgot to say that i really apprectiate your video's ( just have learned the classic walkout and the Twist-o-Flex :) )

So i really WANT TO THANK YOU !!! : )

Besides, do you know how the Popping move is called, where you arm goes up( or down ) and it looks so wiggle-wiggle ^^, i dont mean the usal armwave, or an armwave which goes up or down, its kinda like the arm is of gum, i think its like a hand - elbow isolation which you have to do very fast.

Really hard to explain though >x(

  • @CoOlF1r3 i think that you mean RIPPLE WAVES... Look it up! I probably have made a tutorial on it by now!

  • "So the twisto flex....is like crazy gangster....it's bad." lol i love this tutorial.
