The King of Limbs has NOTHING to do with Kid A. At all. And just by hearing what little people have to say about this album, I conclude that no, they just don't really get it.
though I completely disagree with him. I've been a radiohead fan for almost 15 years and I think TKOL is an excellent album too.
and as it's been said already, hitler should listen - and watch - the live from the basement sessions, I'm sure it would be helpful for his cholesterol (^^")
Radiohead should incorporate more Dubstep into some of their songs. Its fascinating to watch how Radiohead progresses, never quite fitting into a single genre, yet applying the benefits of many to their music.
Hahahaha this was funny.xD Though I disagree with a lot of the bullshit Hitler was saying. They're still fucking great! And hah, Thom got a bunch of women creaming themselves in Lotus Flower. ;) [Including myself]
I loved both TKOL and this video. Radiohead are my favourite band, but I wouldn't say I'm one of the hardcore idiots that can't listen to criticism of them. So lets all just relax, enjoy the wonderful music, and laugh at how brilliant Hitler calling Thom Yorke a "wonky-eyed little fuckwit" is. Really well done on the video :)
hey dipshits the album is made with real guitars and real fuckin instruments watch the from the basement, just cause u cant appreciate a good record doesn't mean its bad and if you miss old radiohead so much then go listen to it and stop bitching.
I agree with the General - Pablo Honey is easily Radiohead's least-good effort. I mean, it's not bad, just wayyy inferior to everything they did after - just compare it to OK Computer, The Bends or Kid A. It just can't stand up next to those masterpieces.
LOLOLOL i will punch you in the fucking throat if you say another word against pablo honey lool yes hitler likes their first album. : D pablo honey is the original man.

@pencilfoot Well at the time there was a rumour they were but a day or so later Mani said it was false. I thought it was funny because it was more proof Hitler's a bit out of the loop.
I'd like to thank The Stone Roses for RUINING my joke!
@pencilfoot They have to listen to Radiohead and find out you dont have to split up and get millions to get back together you just stay together and try try try try and maybe some day they touch the arch the arch of genius which is Radiohead . We are living through the da vinci on music and that is the lads .
@NeonFoxLetsPlays I totally agree with you. I don't understand all the hate. TKOL is up there with the best IMO. Bloom, Little by Little, Codex, Separator <3
The album was ok, but I seriously am head over heels in LOVE with the Live From the Basement recordings they did. That stuff is pure gold! Have you guys listened to it?! Check it out
TKOL is a great album. You just have to listen well and learn to appreciate it. That took me a while to do, but when you do you notice the attention to detail that radiohead has and has had on previous albums, it only gets better the more you listen
To sum it up: Alot of people don't listen to the album in the NOW moment. They listen to it whilst thinking about something else or they are thinking about what's next rather then taking in what is actually being played to their ears now. Because its so different people distract themselves automatically. But again not everyone is going to be into it, some will be though.
for a long time I've pondered whether KOL was the great album people are talking it up to be- truth is I don't listen to it anymore- Which must say something because usually i will listen to a new radiohead album non stop for a year after it's released- But all great artists have there sore spots- I think KOL is more about Thom trying to escape from the massive spotlight radiohead have created- I'm sure they will be back better than ever!
How is TKOL a series of loops? Its a phenomenal album. People need to stop with the accusatory "they just like it because they wanted to like it" shit, I personally like it just as much as Ok Computer, not as much as Kid A or Amnesiac
I'm younger. I like radiohead's new stuff the newer it gets. It sucks when your favorite band changes. In my case, Circa Survive. But the alternative is that they produce the same album over and over again. Recognize that your fandom lies with the album, not the band.
The problem with TKOL is to do with the difference between true "good music Radiohead fans" and the "I'm hip and with it" Radiohead fans". Years ago in the UK The Bends always came higher in best album of all time charts. Then it was OK Computer that topped those charts a few years later. Recently it was Kid A that topped those charts ahead of The Bends and OK Computer. Maybe in a few years when the fools have caught up, it'll be Amnesiacs turn, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows then finally TKOL
@childofthesun32 I disagree. I think the problem is more to do with lack of songs. All those albums had great songs. TKOL lacks great songs and is more a collection of sounds and loops.
@dnm5555 For me, Bloom IS a great song as is Mr Magpie, Feral and Codex. Little By Little is one of my favourite Radiohead songs. The only song I don't think is great (but still enjoy) is Give Up The Ghost (which sounds like a Neil Young song to me). The only song most people rate on TKOL is Lotus Flower which to me to me is the 2nd least good song on the album. Separator to me sounds like their next album will be their OK Computer of the new generation.
@dnm5555 It's not so different than anything they've done before, they just found a sound and expanded on it, them being experimental and all. The real problem (if there is one at all) is that some Radiohead fans keep comparing their albums together. It's a new sound, try to listen to it as it is, forget Kid A, forget In Rainbows... There are some lovely songs on that album with beautiful poetry and mesmerizing sounds and beats.
@dnm5555 it just has less songs & less good songs. "Lotus Flower," "Codex," & my personal fave "Separator" are all amazing tracks that could stand on their own on any album, imo. "Bloom" & "Give Up the Ghost" are decent but don't really stand out & grab you. then you have basically a throw away track like "Feral" and yes, some of the album is definitely a bit monotonous with the blips & blops & looping. expectations are everything...3 outta 8 (& 2 more being decent) ain't that bad at all!
@dnm5555 i disagree, i think TKOL was a great album its problem was how underwhelming it was to people when it came out, and yes i was disappointed by its short track listing, to me i feel like TKOL was an album for the band, In Rainbows was so huge and so overwhelming and you can tell from listening to it how much it much have taken and in interviews they even expressed how tense the writing and recording for IR was, TKOL was them breaking away, the album is minimalistic and in that is a...
@dnm5555 ... new starting point for them, i feel like a line is going to be drawn from pre- TKOL to post TKOL, the same way the line is drawn pre OK Comp and post, they obviously have a new collection of influences and artistic ideas and im so excited to see whats coming, they have broken through their anger with In Rainbows and claimed to be very happy doing TKOL, i think whatever comes next is going to be HUGE and personally im psyched, also Lotus Flower is in my top 10 fav Radiohead songs
@tapetheescape What I meant was just that maybe in a few years people will realise that TKOL is actually a very good album instead of complaining all the time. When their taste has caught up with the reality of musical progress.
@childofthesun32 Agreed. All those fuckers that call themselves Rh fans are just a bunch of morons who wanted another IR. they were too depressed not hearing any Jonny solo that they closed their mind for new things. I used to think that every RH fan was an open minded guy, but TKOL sorted the real art apreciators from the fans who want to make of RH another Muse. I can't stand that. maybe someday TKOL will get the recognition it deserves, but I'm waiting for the HTT recognition too.
i just want to laugh about this too, but it's not funny if you understand german language... we germans just don't like hitler aswell.... damn you hitler!
King of Limbs wasn't a terrible album, it just wasn't as good as everything else they've done. And it's certainly a damn sight better than all the shit in the charts nowadays.
0:41-0:55 - that's the same face i made after i read on wikipedia that there was no follow up of The King Of Limbs any time soon...... i still haven't gotten over it.
@magicmike323 i like the way you said, "I don't mean to offend anyone" before insulting Hitler. NOT insulting him is offensive, you start talking about how Hitler was such an asshole in a bar, you'll most likely get laid that night.... i know from experience.
it's not so damn funny if you understand german. not because you can't make jokes about it or something like that, it's only really hard to concentrate on the subtitles and try not to understand what they are saying at the same time... but once you figured it out, then again it's very, very funny...
Well, the thing is that for the jazzy and electronic parts there is another people that really do their jobs in the way it should be. Of course I can expect something electronic from radiohead, but the use of loops or just the vocoder for a piano... is kinda blank page for me. I can't enjoy an album from them like that!
I'm sorry Hitler, but I have to very much disagree on you with this one. King of Limbs is harder to like, but it's not impossible. And once you do like it, it's almost impossible to get away from it. Just because it's a bit weird doesn't mean it's crap. In fact, there's some good songs there (all but bloom and feral) But of course, that's my opinion, and since you don't agree with it, I guess I'm gonna have to invade Germany. NAAA, you're free to think whatever you want about it. I ain't judging
@shaveyourwookie I'm pretty sure any Radiohead fans wouldn't dislike TKOL for weird. It's Radiohead. I personally think Kid A was far more strange and experimental.
@dnm5555 I can see where you'd think that, and at first listen I also thought that they had gone a bit too far in being experimental. But now I think this is stronger than the eraser, though I love that too- the more experimental tracks like bloom, morning mr magpie, feral, give me a new kind of thrill, and less experimental stuff like codex and GUTG blow me away. I think theyve shown their greatness even more, though it seems more driven by Yorke himself, and I do miss their older style.
Album took me quite a few listens and on sunday it finally blew me away! Genius IMO and i couldn't give a flying fuck what any of you fk'n whining maggots think......
for all the radiohead trivia this presents, it overlooks something.
the king of limbs... is great! Is it very different? yes.
even from kid a experimental stuff; even from new stuff like these are my twisted words.
radiohead likes to change it up. would you have expected HTTT after kid a or amnesiac, or in rainbows after HTTT? No. But this is what makes them robust as a band...its just that their older stuff is easier to get into.
this is a funny video but I hope its view isnt serious.
I'd love them to record lift and big boots, just such epicly epic songs. I bought the king of limbs newspaper album, kinda wish id saved the money and bought kid A or smoething. Its good, but just kind of lacking.
jazz record?! lol. um, have you actually listened to miles davis or much jazz? if you look closely, you may notice that comparing Radiohead with jazz is a very silly idea
the king of limbs is an EXCELLENT record. only a no taste ass clown with no depth or musical understanding would hate on this album. it is their version of a jazz record, radiohead goes miles davis. it is BRILLIANT!!!!!!!
@lwesterman34 I examine music with a musical understanding, considering I am a musician and like to observe dynamics and expressive techniques. The album is full of techniques and is crafted beautifully, but the songs are fucking boring. Stop telling people they don't understand music, especially when you called it jazz (what the fuck are you on?) they just like better music.
how is this updated? you butchered the ending, which was one of the best parts of the original. I've never been this outraged before, not even by stalin.

King of Limbs wasn't a terrible album, it just wasn't as good as everything else they've done. And it's certainly a damn sight better than all the shit in the charts nowadays.

@radu0 i think this is one of those rare occasions when the phrase "i'm with hitler on this one" is acceptable

I don't want to offend anyone, but i think Hitler is kind of a dick. Its never fucking good enough for you, is it Hitler?
magicmike323 9 months ago 32
@magicmike323 Yeah dude, I'm sure Nazis get on youtube, to look and see if people are talking shit about Hitler.
MrRoklem 4 months ago
@magicmike323 i like the way you said, "I don't mean to offend anyone" before insulting Hitler. NOT insulting him is offensive, you start talking about how Hitler was such an asshole in a bar, you'll most likely get laid that night.... i know from experience.

it's not so damn funny if you understand german. not because you can't make jokes about it or something like that, it's only really hard to concentrate on the subtitles and try not to understand what they are saying at the same time... but once you figured it out, then again it's very, very funny...

i like every song the same...treat it as number 1...i just hate some songs...like 1 or 2...but still are amazing

I ain't judging
shaveyourwookie 9 months ago
@shaveyourwookie Bloom is actually my favourite on TKOL
The vid is hilarious btw
ClownenJac73 9 months ago
@shaveyourwookie I'm pretty sure any Radiohead fans wouldn't dislike TKOL for weird. It's Radiohead. I personally think Kid A was far more strange and experimental.

Very funny video, but I love The King of Limbs.
Sodeggy 9 months ago
@dnm5555 I can see where you'd think that, and at first listen I also thought that they had gone a bit too far in being experimental. But now I think this is stronger than the eraser, though I love that too- the more experimental tracks like bloom, morning mr magpie, feral, give me a new kind of thrill, and less experimental stuff like codex and GUTG blow me away. I think theyve shown their greatness even more, though it seems more driven by Yorke himself, and I do miss their older style.
Ghostleon4 10 months ago
Album took me quite a few listens and on sunday it finally blew me away! Genius IMO and i couldn't give a flying fuck what any of you fk'n whining maggots think......
aphex187sBro 10 months ago
for all the radiohead trivia this presents, it overlooks something.
the king of limbs...
Ghostleon4 10 months ago
I'd love them to record lift and big boots, just such epicly epic songs. I bought the king of limbs newspaper album, kinda wish id saved the money and bought kid A or smoething. Its good, but just kind of lacking.
scotty686 10 months ago
well i like the king of limbs i absolutely don't understand what's wrong with it Separator is easily on their top 10 songs

jazz record?! lol. um, have you actually listened to miles davis or much jazz? if you look closely, you may notice that comparing Radiohead with jazz is a very silly idea
ruarimacleod83 10 months ago
this was the best hitler rehash yet.
airbag must be his favorite song...
nilpointdotcom 10 months ago
the king of limbs is an EXCELLENT record. only a no taste ass clown with no depth or musical understanding would hate on this album. it is their version of a jazz record, radiohead goes miles davis. it is BRILLIANT!!!!!!!
lwesterman34 10 months ago
@lwesterman34 I examine music with a musical understanding, considering I am a musician and like to observe dynamics and expressive techniques. The album is full of techniques and is crafted beautifully, but the songs are fucking boring. Stop telling people they don't understand music, especially when you called it jazz (what the fuck are you on?) they just like better music.
