No no no, Paul is above and beyond Reagan. Reagan was the start of the neoconservative and christian fundamentalist hijacking of the conservatives/republicans. Paul is a libertarian. Reagan spoke a lot but his actions were far different from his words.
Sure Reagan was great until he got shot. That assassination attempt made him realize he better play ball with the establishment and the Central Banks. He later attended Bohemian Grove where they set him straight on the goals of a New World Order. He had no choice but to bend their way.
Ron Paul is a worker not an actor (not knocking Reagan). People really are fooled by charisma and personality. Ron Paul is THE only legitimate candidate, imo.

Those saying Ron Paul sounds like him not the other way around haven't heard Paul speak in his younger days. Remember Paul isn’t president yet and won’t get a chance to speak out until he wins we must all vote for him and not just talk about it.

You can't compare them because I see Reagan reading from his notes and he was an actor so he memorized his lines. Ron Paul doesn't and his message is heard loud and clear especially his reputation.
@TvChannelDan great minds think alike. and i hate callin those things a debate if you talking about the fox/cnn type of debates. its more of a name calling fest where ron paul is the only one addressing the real issues.
@J3D1JC I'd like a candidate who thinks like Dr. Paul and speaks as confident as Newt. I love Dr. Paul and will vote for him for sure. He never has to remember what he said last (like Newt and Romney) because he simply states his principles. Lying is hard because you have to remember the lie, RP tells the truth, and it is unrehearsed and his mind works faster than his mouth. He doesn't practice in the mirror telling bullshit like the rest. He is the most consistent man in politics by far.

Spending under Reagan is a complicated issue.
When he took over, the military was in shambles with most guns/equiptment dating to Korea and Nam.
So to update the whole of the military at once cost a fortune.
And it brought the USSR to its knees trying to keep up.
He did run HUGE deficits, but that was because he had Volker ''wring inflation out of the economy''.
So he removed the ''hiden tax'' that other presidents used to hide out of control spending.
