  • Nice Fallout Reference!

  • Why no shotguns 0.o ?

  • Tom Hanks?

  • Does the RFB have any heat problems if you fire a lot of ammo through it quickly? I heard the front hand guard gets very hot.

  • That's a very nice range, and I hope to have one like that on my property one day. No one has responded yet about jamming. A few asked, but no one replied. Has anyone experienced jams with this platform? With an ejection system like this, how do misfires work? Double feeds? How do you clear it? Thanks in advance.

  • the guy at :54 is way to afraid of it.

  • lol v.a.t.s. mode.

  • neet-o...awesome buy man, that rifle looks fun...and the 308 is such a great cartridge.

  • lol, Sweet you have the PWS brake on there! I'm sure it helps with the sharp recoil of that bull pup

  • is the 308 better thane a 6.5 and 6.8mm

  • The guy in the red shirt is anticipating the shots and flinching a bit before firing. The grip on the gun has the two hands too close together, so stability is compromised. Plus he's lifting his head after firing. A few pointers- don't anticipate the shot- just squeeze the trigger and follow through, keep your cheek weld, reset the trigger, repeat once the target is reaquired. Also, move your support hand out to help stabilize the rifle more. Not ragging on ya, just trying to help you out!

  • @1RevvinFC3S like you read my mind, had the same reply in mind... noticed he was flinching and closing his eyes after each shot... cant keep it on target if your eyes are closed !!

  • How do you like the muzzle brake? Does it help with recoil/muzzle rise? Just got an RFB serial number in the mid 600's. Awesome rifle. Do you still have yours? how many rounds you put through it so far?

  • damn that thing sounds loud as hell

  • Where did you get that muzzle comp?

  • @crazyphil101 Looks like a FSC30 from Primary Weapons Systems. That is my guess.

  • @Vercingetorix51 Thanks and I think you may be right on that one.

  • y'know, I thrashed KelTel weapons when they first came out, and over my years in collecting, I've come to find KT's guns are more reliable than your grampa's colostomy bag. I'm serious as shit, always keep a P3AT as my backup.

I've never seen these, but I'll fuckin' have one by next week. You see the PMR yet?

    Ninja Girl

  • @NinjaGirlRachel

Yeah I've seen the PMR. Looks like a very fun plinking gun. I have always been a bit skeptical of KT products myself. I actually had a couple problems with my RFB, but that's what you get with a serial number just over 100...

  • @p951951951t Hey Ninja, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of problems did you have with your RFB??? I'm thinking of getting one of this, so your opinion will be much appreciated, thanks!

  • @p951951951t what problem did you have with your RFB?

  • @p951951951t kel tecs are undeniable junk.

  • @p951951951t What flash supressor is that. Nice video thanks.

  • @NinjaGirlRachel ya if you can find one ive been looking but there like 2000 and the sites that i find either are fake or sold

  • they should make a lighter version in 7.62x39mm

  • @abz520 i'm pretty sure kel tec is coming out with a 5.56, 7.62x39, 6.8 and a couple other versions.

  • @1BrockSawyer Hope so. They also need to increase production and give some more Americans employment. Kel Tec guns can be hard to find sometimes. Always sold-out.

  • @abz520 Good semi-auto rifles are always sold out today thanks to the greatest gun salesman in history, Barack Obama. If Kel-Tec knew he would continue in office they could hire more workers and invest in more equipment. But he might be a one term wonder, in which case people will not feel the same urgency to buy. Guessing wrong about future demand is one way companies go bankrupt. President Obama is the best thing that ever happened to gun sellers!

  • Nice. I'm thinking I might need one to go with my MSAR. Bullpups are like a disease.

  • How is the noise with the muzzle so close and that muzzle brake?

  • does the rifle have iron sites, please will like feed back

  • At about 3:15 it looks like somthing flew of the barrel or something right after a big string of shells is ejected all at once . Anyone else see it know what the heck it was ?

I have a couple of shorter 308s and they are loud as hell I reckont this one would wake 'em up at the range around here as well.

  • @bigdubbatoo it's like the f2000, it will hold some shells in there then they all get pushed out at once

  • has anyone found where to buy/install a bottom rail for this to add accessories?, seen a few with it but not from the factory and kel tec just replies "it will be on the web site soon" well that was months ago.

  • That explains the lesser recoil in this video it was due to the brake. People say the recoil is manageable and equal to a FAL. I just think the unfamiliar bullpup ergonomics make the rifle less manageable but With practice ones control over the weapon should get better.

Attaching a suppressor to reduce the recoil appears to work well. Maybe a forward grip too. Kel tec will be coming out with a lower forearm rail attachment soon.

  • I think that the fact that the RBF in .308 uses FN FAL magazines is genius; they are plentiful and affordable. Good to go, Kel-Tec.

  • How hard is it to clear malfunctions?

  • God this weapon is just awesome......A breath of fresh air in the fire arms industry ...finally a bullpup 308 wish i could make enough money to get one :[

  • Shooting under that tin roof makes it sound like your shooting a damn howitzer.

  • wow, that comp makes a world of difference for this rifle.

  • Sure doesn't look like a 300 meter range to me. That would be 984 feet and that sure doesn't look anywhere near that far. More like 100 meters, still pretty impresive accuracy for a 18" barrell with a 7.62 Nato round.

  • like to see some aggressive stance on that

  • Jews firing guns

    please

  • @cibot123 The Galil?

  • I can't tell - is that a muzzle-brake or a flash hider? If its a muzzle brake, what model is it, and is it effective?

I'm concerned about using a muzzle-brake on a bullpup .308 (of all things) because of the additional noise to the shooter. But then, this is kind of a light-weight gun and I'd like to cut the recoil a bit if possible.

    Any comment on that?

  • BOTH...well kinda. It's the Primary Weapons FSC30. They market it as both a flash supressor AND a compensator. I'm not too convinced you can combine these two concepts, considering they'd want to work against each other. Weight? RFB carbine is 1.6#>PTR-91, 1.38#>FN Fal & 1.1#>M1A. No big dif really. Also, compare the RFB's much lower bore axis in relation to the shooter. Sure the recoil impulse might feel faster, but it's coming straight back & creating much less muzzle flip in theory

  • that gun is mean!

  • lol vats mode

hows the recoil on this gun iv herd its not bad but the vids seem to make it seem bad

  • how much did it cost???

  • What exactly are you referring to? I have no problem hitting my targets.

  • At around 1:36 in flic man is firing rifle by laying it upon hard surface of bench. Just saying this has an effect upon rifle when fired and is not an accurate reading of weapons accuracy. It may only affect it in minor way at 100 and is not that critical with your sighting system but to each their own. Whatever works for one then go with it. Glad to see you have fine weapon and thanx for showing. KYPD

  • How is your take on the recoil of this rifle? Is it about the same or more than the FAL? I would appreciate if you could share. Thank you very much.

  • @HOWFREERU

First off, this post is incoherent.

Secondly, accuracy issues are a problem when the BARREL is being rested against something, NOT the stock. And it's not a problem that's going to manifest itself with close-range targets.

  • i think you are stuck in the old school train of thought on the red dot, reflex, "halo" department.

You need to consider magnifiers added to our eotech and aimpoint service weapons. Elcan in canada makes one hell of a 1X to 4X red dot scope with a leica lens that is very accurate. one is calibrated for the 308 and another the 5.56. trijicon uses red dots in magnified scopes and non magnified reflex sites.

Trijicon, Elcan, Meprolight, Aimpoint, eotech all have models that are deadly accurate.

  • @HOWFREERU

I am not getting what you are saying, off a bench using nothing but my arms as support I can shoot a 1.5-2" group at 100yds all day w. an EOTech on an M4 type using standard ball ammo

  • @HOWFREERU guess you know nothing about guns. I can shoot 12 inch steel plates with red dot out to 300 yards. It is not the sight is the shooter.

  • whats reliablity like and have you had any problems with the crazy ejection system? I have a P11 and I love it. So far, I like what I see with this rifle.

  • why not m14 mags?

  • m14 mags are insanely expensive

  • who cares, fal is not american

  • I guess americans should learn how to make cheaper magazines.

  • So am I. Shouldn't you be out hunting kiwis or something? :D

  • lol, i wish, but those little shits are endangered

  • endangered animals are always the best tasting ones, it's a damn shame!

  • @p951951951t lol

  • because the 5.56 is for fags

  • Very nice gun

    Though Ive just noticed something

If you watch ALL the other RFB videos it looks like the recoil rocks pretty hard.

Watching these two guys.. looks no worse the an AK or maybe a little more the an M4.

    GOOD VIDEO guy.

    Heat ISSUES??

  • @TwisTTooL1

The RFB is chambered for the .308winchester so it should recoil a good bit more than the 'intermediate' cartridges that the M16 or AK fire.

  • i noticed the same thing.............this is my next rifle! i want the 24 or 26 inch though

  • It would also make a nice deer gun as well if a five shot box were included.

  • I suppose there would be a heat problem with such confined furniture of this bullpup design. Take a look at another bullpup classic, the TAR-21. If they would put in vents just under the sight rail like the aforementiined tavor, it should help in keeping the gun cool during actions like rapid firing. The M-17s Bushmaster had a serious problem with heat in their earlier designs. Aftermarket parts such as ventilated furniture helped solve that problem. I think the RFB would do fine in my guncase.

  • ha vats ftw

  • love the vats mode!

  • 7.62 is manageable, until the 60s when the M16 was issued its all we used. Full auto would be ridiculous on a platform this light.

And Kel-tec is planning on making other calibers including 6.8, 6.5, and 5.56, its easier to scale a firearm down (like the AR10 to the AR15) than to scale one up calibers

  • true, but its been years. i guess i *unrealistically* thought they would have brought it out by now, but such a small company doesn't have the time or money to spend to get all these variants out very quickly, and then actually be able to produce enough to satisfy demand.

  • Just good business sense, since demand is thru the roof and they've had to expand the facilities just to get more tooling up for this rifle as is (and this is only with the 18" barrel model, they haven't gotten different barrel lengths out yet, to say nothing of new calibers). They have no reason to introduce expansion for it until they begin to meet demand for the weapon as is. They will come, Kel-tec seriously underestimated the sales this weapon would bring

  • EXACTLY what i was saying.

  • Then you and I are in agreement sir, Just as to the original comment, they are considering, and as of now still plan to implement, just without an established timeable

  • timetable*

  • Timetable..

When YOUR president bans them... their will be plenty of rifles without a home.. untill then, good luck getting one anywhere near MSRP.

And to "KILL-TECH".. please prove me wrong... please.

  • @TwisTTooL1

At the shotshow premiere they were only running $1,200. And I can rder one and get it for the same or less, although I don't know if I want this or another AR!!! Some things about are a little fishy lookin.

  • @ /nowthisisstupid

Ive been online for days trying to find one for sale.

thus far the lowest if seen is 1.3K on back order

I know this sounds lame... but if I made a rifle

it would look alot like this.. or a .308 Tavor would be nice. If you think you could point me in the right direction.. thad be mighty white of ya.

  • @thebeetalls Kel Tec said they'd release the same design in a 5.56, a 7.62x39, a 6.5 Grendel, and a 6.8 SPC. So you get what you want. They had to do it in .308 first because most guns don't scale up to larger ammunition, they only scale down.

  • I think commercially the 6.8spc would be viable, but the 6.5mm is a distant second to that. Personally I like the 6.5 bullet selection, but it is almost totally unknown among most of the gun buyers who came into the stores I have worked for. 6.8spc had a lot more name recognition

  • @TROOPERfarcry I hope that's true, I'd take one of each!

  • @thebeetalls

What kind of pussy can't handle 7.62?

  • kicks like a mule. But I like the design.

  • the desert eagle of rifles

  • Has the gun jammed at all?

If the gun does jam is there an easy way to clear it?

  • How hot does it get after shooting it for a while??? I've shot some bullpups before and they get pretty hot after many mags. Thanks!

  • NICE!

Is it available with a flash hider?

Do you have any video of mag changes?

  • No video's of mag changes, but it takes me only slightly longer than my AR. The mag release is placed in a very natural position.

The rifle comes standard with an A2 flash hider, mine has a PWS FSC30 brake/FH on it

  • That brake looks very effective.

    V.A.T.S is awesome:-)

  • how much does the rifle go for?

  • MSRP: $1880

  • Just out of curiosity where did you get that rifle and how long did you wait for it? I haven't been able to find one anywhere.

How's the overall fit and finish? Does it feel solid? I saw the cutaway video and it looked like the receiver walls are a tad thin.

  • V.A.T.S XD Vaul-Tec would be proud :)

  • Dam, I've had mine on order for 5 months now,,,, want .

  • I have to have the target version. How much were you able to pick this up for?

Also, have you test the accuracy on it? I want to turn one into a long range target machine.

  • I paid just over MSRP for the rifle. The accuracy is good, it definitely prefers heavier bullets. I think 1moa is possible with good ammo and optics. Personally as a high powered carbine, I'm happy as long as it shoots "Minute-of-man" at 500 yards.

  • excuse me sir, where is your eye protection?

  • Real men don't use eye protection! The feel of hot, freshly burned powder in our eyes is like bacon and eggs for breakfast to us!

  • sure maybe on outdoor grounds. but in a range, no eye, no eyes, means KICK OUT.

  • Comment removed

  • where do these kids get the money for these guns is something i always wanted to know!,,,lol

  • Lots of overtime and lots of Ramen, lol.

  • That was a great real world RFB video. Thank you for that!

The Carbine RFB is the only weapon on my acquisition list for this year. Now that Kel-Tec is about to start cranking them out in volume, I'm about ready to buy one. Hopefully, the Target RFB will be on next year's list.

  • @ 3:06 stream of shells... Awesome~!!!

    ..X..

  • Is the trigger as good as they say it is? Is it better than a FAL trigger?

  • Yes, it is as good as they say.

  • awesome. i enjoy V.A.T.S. mode lol

    zombies don't stand a chance.

  • I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT........... seriously, I must have one!

  • great stuff.

    Looks really easy to handle.
