i remember that the prima strategy guide said that the best way to kill krauser was with a killer 7 (or any magnum, its just that the killer 7 comes with high firepower without upgrades) and to shoot his legs, and then the head. That usually takes a minute. I guess they should make an updated guide, with this strategy :)

For all of you who thinks he's playing on easy. Regardless of difficulty the knife is the BEST weapon to fight Krauser with. It does more damage than most weapons TO HIM and will conserve your ammunition. Both of my friend and I have beaten the game on professional more than once, gotten to this part and knife fight Krauser.

I used to use guns a lot on Krauser, throw everything I got on him, and I found i either died or wasted alots of ammo in the end even if I killed him. When I start use only knife I found I can kill him in no time. Just keep running toward him and press those dogging buttons and do my knife slashing all the time. This is how you kill that cocky Rambo guy. ;)

I used to take his knees out with the TMP or semi auto Rifle, thenwhen he was down I shot a mine onto his shoulder. Killed him in under a minute. Then I got the Chicago Typewriter and killed him in a matter of seconds :) but then again I was on Normal, what mode is this because its a helluva lot easier :)
