BUT: HER COVER OF MISUNDERSTOOD IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL! That's all I'm saying. People can be so ignorant some times!

I respect that, but just because my opinion is "kinda negative" doesn't make it worng. I can speak my mind. Algebra's version isn't as good as Nina's in my opinion. That doesn't make Algebra any less a singer in my eyes. In my eyes, Nina's version is better and I felt the need to point that out because I want the younger generation to hear and never forget the genius Nina Simone!

She isnt singing as a comparison to Nina. Nina ia Nina and Algebra is Algebra. When an artist sings a song, it's pointless to try to mimic the original singer. When an artist sings a song, they bring their own personality to it. Nina was a great pianist, but she self admittedly was NOT the best singer. Her voice was shrill and Sharp!!! On some songs that worked, but as any singer all of nina's singing was not the best. She was noted for piano moreso than her voice.

First of all, I do not need a history lesson on Nina Simone from you! I know all there is to know about her. The fact that her voice was shrill and imperfect is what works for the song "Don't let me be Misunderstood" which is why I prefer Nina's over Algebra. I love Algrebra's music, and I'm sure nobody can sing her songs like her. I happen to think the same is true for Nina.
