Just for clarification: When knotting the strings, both loose ends would be gathered together and looped to knot it, I guess if I understand it correctly, as though one were tying off the end of a balloon so the air doesn't escape?
I was wondering about the nettles (I'm going to be planting some soon) and had a few questions. How long are they good for to, let's say, make soup with or even dry them to make infusions? Is it only the spring nettles that should be harvested for such things? Your nettles are huge, as tall as the girls that are harvesting in it. Would that nettle still be good for infusions and soups and teas at that height? I read to only harvest them when they're as high as your knees. I hope that's untrue.
