God Kamelot is so amazing. And so is CM! I'm so in awe that the had Michael sing here. What I like best is that Michael is doing his best to entertain the crowd as though this were his band and his fans. I don't know why but I just love it... it somehow rings "togetherness" :)

To everyone saying he does this song better than Fabio, close to Khan etc I think you need to clean out some earwax. Yes, their voices sound superficially similar. On a level of vocal control this guy isn't even in the same league and seems to spend more time adjusting his shades than performing. I know Fabio is different from Khan, but the dude can sing much better than this, listen to the tremolos and whatnot and you will hear what I mean.  Plus he is a great showman.. this guy ain't.

My original thoughts when I was attending the festival were "without khan there is no kamelot. His voice is one of a kind and perfect". After being in attendance that night and watching Michael. I was wrong. Michael killed it, he is a truly talented vocalist who only deserves praise for this awesome performance he put on. He isn't Khan, but I believe he is on Khan's level. Remember these vocal melodies were done by Khan originally, where Khan is comfortable.

Its not really Roy's age that prevents the high notes. He has far too much tension in his face/throat. He's sacrificing proper technique in favor of his emotional sound. If he were to relax on the high notes instead of squeezing them out he would be fine.

Take this as an observation, not an insult as I too love his voice and this band!

Oh my god, this is amazing. Just THREE days and he's just owned one of the best songs of Kamelot. The backing singers are awesome.

@progpowerusa Now that Roy Khan decided to leave the band, I personally think Michael Eriksen would make an excellent replacement. His work with Circus Maximus is fantastic, and his voice is quite similar to Khan in the sense that it is very clear, operatic and powerful. His range is probably better than Khan´s, especially when it comes to performing live (no disrespect to Khan). Him or Tommy Karevik from Seventh Wonder would make great replacements!

A truly historical moment. I have been waiting for this video for months. Michael and Khan are the two best voices in metal. Many viewers tend to be fans of Kamelot and seem to be missing out on Michael here. I suppose you would need to be a fan of both CM and Kamelot to appreciate this as I do. In the first two albums Thom is the only Composer(Only in 1 or 2 songs there's a collaboration of other members in the music).

The"Mother Band"of Roy is Conception & Roy seems perfect for this band,i believe more than Kamelot.

Sean Tibbetts (he used to go by the name Sean Christians) was also a founding member of Kamelot and currently is their bassist. He was the original bassist. He left after a while and was replaced with Glenn Barry. After Glenn Barry quit, Tibbetts was invited to rejoin the band, which was what he did.

I don't think he would quit. He has said in an interview after his breakdown that he wants to get back into the band. A few months later in a recent interview with Thomas, Thomas has said Roy wants to get back into the band. He just needs to get his head straight again. Although an emotionally traumatic thing like a nervous breakdown (which a burnout is just a polite way of putting it, honestly) is a big thing to recover from.
