I fail to see how the mustang is faster stock vs. stock. An 08 350z can do 0-60 in 5.1 secs and the 1/4 mile in 13.1 @ 109 mph. That mustang is not that fast.
@Krazymuffin90 I believe a 370z doing 13.1. I have yet to see a stock 350z at the strip do better than 13.6 and even then it was a near perfect race. I easily eat up 350z in a half-ass bolt on 95 Z28 and I've pulled 13.5. Stock for Stock the Lt1 camaros were a dead-even race for a 350Z and "magazine times" for those were 14.2. Mag times for a 11 6cyl Stang is around 13.5 but ive seen stock Lt1 run dead even with them. Comes down to stop going by "mag times" and actually visit the track...
Mustangs have better low end torque so a 30 mph roll isnt exactly ideal in this race. gt even stock has better 0-60 and 1/4's but id imagine 60-100 the z would win.
the guy in the 350z is a really good driver . i have a hard time believing its stock though. that stang aotomatic runs close to mid 13's on street tires shitty driver maybe

not the new ones (07 or 08 up) they had a horsepower increase and alot better 1/4 mile... plus if u notice the first run... i had traction control on, u can hear it kick in. and i still beat him by 3+ cars
yea but nissan wont admit they added horsepower im hoping to get my Nimso dynoed this weekend so ill know how much of increase ill get when i start doing a few things to it i know its faster then the older 03-06 Zs i ran a 9.021 in the 1/8th and and a friend of mines best time was a 9.2 he has a 05 350z i think he has a CAI invidia catback exhaust and a throttle body spacer on it i havent ran at a 1/4 mile yet but im hoping to friday nice stang by the way that was my 2nd choice
well i knew it was going to loose stock for stock those two are really close in performance so i already knew that a modded GT will win after i get my bassani true dual exhaust i think i could give you a run for your money with my Nismo edtion its a LOT lighter then the regular 350z but if i mess up even a little you will probally win
Yeah, i dont really know much about the nismo except they are expensive! lol. and i dont know much about the track speeds except ive never seen a stock one run lower than a 13.9. I ran a 13.1 @ 106 with a 2.0 60 ft on a track that i dont believe is very sticky... If i could hold traction it should be a 12.8-9. The nismos are nice i really like them, not sure how much i like the rear bumper where the exhaust is, but im sure it helps with downforce in the twisties.
13.9 sounds about right for a regular 350z idk what i can run but when i make my 1/4 run ill let you know ive seen a mildly modded 05 Z ran a 13.3 but he had the older DE motor the HR motor like the one i have reacts to mods a lot better and has more stock Hp the rear bumper grew on me the tips are in the exact same place as stock ones just the rear bumper makes them look different
I have a GT and all i have is CAI and Catback and i never ever lost to a Z before. They are nice and can be pretty fast but i have won all my races against them. Sorry Z owners =(
350z has a nice driver mod ;)

just a heads up, an HR 350z will run 13.1 stock at the quarter mile. thats why bolt on mustang can't beat it
