I know how House feels. I'm miserable and I have had chronic headaches for the past five years. But I am trying to get better but the pain won't go away and that makes living really hard. I really love the scene.
@lemonsaresocoollike The last song is passing afternoon ( iron and wine ). There is also a beautiful song in this episode called re stacks, and it's from bon iver
Amber was so beautiful in this scene. Her kindness really shone through and they did the scene well. By far one of my favorite scenes of House, might even be my all time favorite.
one of the saddest but best played scene in house.I love this two episodes very much.cause sometimes you can see, what kind of human house really is, under his hard surface.
@thematrixforever The bus crash was one of the most amazing sequences I have ever seen for TV. Just absolute chaos. and a bus set really flipping on its side. Made for some great images.
House's Head and Wilson's Heart were seriously some of the best episodes of the whole series, and my personal favorite. I can't watch them without crying.
*DONT READ* few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue". The "clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand.
What House says, that he doesn't want to be in pain, he doesn't want to be miserable and he doesn't want Wilson to hate him...And then Amber's "You can't always get what you want"...
The worst part is, I hated Amber when she was working for House, but fell in love with her after she was with Wilson. She should have won an Emmy for this scene alone. Her facial expression when he asked her if he was dead was pure gold.
this bit really gets me cus of house, this isn't like the classic version of 'you're almost dead, do you want to go back or move on to the next part' house believes there's nothing after death so his life has become so painful, so miserable and he's so worried about wilson hating him that he'd rather not exist, to just stop and just... end.
This is what I love so much about the show. Its got so many different sides. Theres love in it, hate, loss, pain, (a lot of) diseases, chronic diseases, friendship, and nothings actually perfect. Just like life, for real.
The best two episodes in one of the greatest TV dramas ever... This final scene was an epic finale to the season and one of the most powerful moments in all of television. I love this ending and I think that the one person who dislikes this has no heart. maybe its just me though.
The sad thing is that we all, at some point, end up feeling like House. Sometimes we think we would like nothing better than to stay on the bus and avoid our pains.
This scene really breaks my heart.
I love the actress who played "Amber" and she was also very good in the UK show, "The Book Group".
WAAAAAAAAAHH!!! DAMMIT, when the music started to play, I cried again. Even though this is a vid of 2 minutes. The way he walks away and leaves her behind... Jeez, I damn love this show.
This put me on the brink of tears; the end of this episode. Not just the fact that the person Wilson loves dies in his arms, but how House realizes the consequences, even if it's just for a brief moment. This is -very- well done medical drama/comedy.
I feel like this also... I love House because I am like him. I feel pain always. My back is bad. I take mega-doses of pain-killers which will probably eventually kill me. I have no choice, like him. He makes me cry all the time to watch, but in a way the crying makes me feel better about my situation. Someone else understands what it's like to be in constant pain, even if it is a fictional character.
This was THE ending of House MD series. I still watch it and I'm somehow enjoying the new episodes, but REAL series that were first four seasons ended here. This moment is like the place where it all connects. House admits his misery AND I just love how his own subconsciousness backfires with that "you can't always get what you want."
Season 5 had an amazing ending too and I would say that it would be even better for the definite end, but the spirit of the first seasons culuminated here.
"You can't always get what you want" House's favorite musical qoute used against him thats what made me cry in this scene, but this was a very touching season of House and the season that he lost one of his new Doctors to suicide and started seeing things.
Honestly, I cannot think of a more touching friendship (both in real life and fiction) than House and Wilson's. That a man as "damaged" and antisocial as House can feel such genuine affection towards Wilson is incredibly moving.
The song that plays at the beginning of this vid works really well with this scene. It was a favorite before I saw this episode, but when I saw this scene it galvanized that. Thanks for uploading this!
God I love this episode, I cry every ten minutes ;) So touching when House says: "I can't. Because it doesn't hurt in here. I don't wanna be in pain, I don't wanna be... miserable. And I don't want him to hate me." In that part I just can't stop crying, no matter how many times I've seen it, who saw me or laughed at me.
BTW, what's the song that begins in 0:13? Love it! <33
watched this ep today for the first time - there were so many bits I cried at: the bus crash when house and Amber try to grab each others hand; Wilson saying goodbye to Amber; and then in this scene for some reason when house said "he's my best friend" it really got me going :(
Everybody wonders where we go when we die. I'd like to think it is a place where there's no pain, no disease, no war, no starvation, just a paradise world of peace. I thought this was a really touching scene, saw another side of House.
does anyone else think that that could of actually been amber speaking to house? the bus surrounded by light and mist must of signified something. maybe it was the space between life and death and if hosue had stayed on he would've died, but amber told him to get off.

@Ellbell72 Same for me, takes quite a bit to get to me but seeing House's vulnerability and how much he loathes the pain and what it has made him... yeah, that really got to me.
this scene shows a classiic existential problem...."the Abusrd"......but see how house just accepts it and continues......thats the only solution why know of

@kscopi I wondered the same when I read the last Harry Potter book. When he's at the trainstation-heaven.. Would I have the strenght to go back to reality, pain and all the negative emotions? Very tough question.
@zusjeszondernaam Mmm, I find it amusing that this is portrayed as a choice between literal life and death, when it's really a choice between taking chances, doing what you want, really LIVING and letting your life be ruled by fear by distracting yourself or wearing a mask. It's a more applicable question than most people appreciate xP
lol, the "I dont want him to hate me" part probably had like all the h/w shippers screamin their heads off., loved this scene, with the music and then just silence, ugh powerful scene
If your irrelevent q.q has started from the whole idea that he's talking to her 'ghost' then that's wrong.
This is House's subconcious talking to him, in Amber's form. There's no just reason for it; that's just how it is. House realised before he went into a comatose that nothing could be done for Amber, so he assumes here that Amber's dead.
It's such a sad scene but.. you really get to see him as he really feels in his head. You'd never see that usually. Best finale of a season of House imo.
I don't care about your debates on whether or not there is a God.
I'm an Atheist.. and I'm actually looking at this argument and saying both sides are retarded.
This is a video about a scene from House. So please stfu and leave this space for people who want to talk ABOUT the video, rather than look at some q.q tl;dr shit that no one is really interested in.
In the end you're both gonna be dust. Why the fuck argue about where your dust ends up when you die?

Case closed. Stfu.
