Jerry Williams, real name Erik Fernström, is the Swedish king of Rock 'n' roll. He's been at it since the late '50s - early '60s and still going strong to this day. He both performs material written for him as well as covers other artists songs. Among his most known hits are I Can Jive, Did I Tell You, It Started With A Love Affair, Dream On, Who's Gonna Follow You Home, as well as his version of Gordon Lightfoot's Git It. Although changing with the times, his style has always sounded rock'n'rol
Fantastic version by this great singer, but I think that there was someone who sang it before the great George Strait did his wonderful version. I'm trying to find it in my collection of cd's and let you know. Great video!!!
My favorite Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell has a version of this George Strait song too and he did it a very good job with it. But I really like Jerry Williams' bouncy version that you posted. Hey, lady, how can I even thank you for posting this favorite dancing number of mine? Thank you once again. Fred
Jerry Williams I'm not familiar with but I cannot care less. He did a very good job with a song I really love. The vocal and instrumental quality are good too. Thank you for posting, much appreciated.
Well I'm not sure who did the song first Carol, but either way it's a terrific song! And you did a wonderful job on the video! It was perfect for the song and I enjoyed it very much! .... FrAnK (★★★★★)
Daniel O'Donnell has concerts here in the US but I've never been to one and didn't know he sang this song. Thanks so much for your comment and for adding my video to your favorites.
Thanks Ethan. It took a while to do this video because I didn't work on it. I sort of got out of making videos for a while. I will start one and then put it on the back burner until I find time to work on it.
great song

Two exceptional covers by Jerry Williams are John Lennon's Working Class Hero and the ballad Vintersaga by Ted Ström, the latter in Swedish.

Yes, George Strait had the most popular version here in the US
and Daniel O'Donnell also had one. Can't think of anyone else
but let me know if you find a different version. Thanks for the kind comment!

I happen to think this is a very good version of this song. I'm not that learned about modern country singers, but this guy does have a good voice.
You employed some very nice techniques in this video (some that I haven't mastered yet and I'm envious).
Great video, Carol. 5*

I like how you feature dancing styles throughout the times, so although the style of dancing may be dated, the meaning is the same.
Why is the girl dancing with her own hat at 2:19? Poor girl needs a dancing partner so she doesn't have to dance with inanimate objects!

Over here it was a massive hit for Daniel O'Donnell.
Somebody gave me tickets to see him.
He was very good.
