@Scooterhats if I had some molten lead I would pour it on your face and down your mouth, you know where people used to cum over you when you were molested as a child.
@Scooterhats you know those people who stick light bulbs up there arse well you are one of them, in the future they should round up all you gingers and slaughter them no one likes you and your ugly and your mother ate excessive quantities of lead before giving birth.
Why the hell would you even try that... especially with your hands which are like, you know, the things you use to assist you in doing ALMOST EVERYTHING day to day........................
i was melting lead acid car batterys in a wok making sinkers and i pushed one of the leaves under the lead and it exploded and it did not burn me but it did melt in to my jumper but not me i was taken back i had lead in my hair as well by the way the wok was around half full of lead
Years ago I worked in a commercial kitchen where we had large grease fryers for potatoes. A co-worker accidentally dropped his wedding ring into a freshly filled fryer that was at frying temperature - around 450 degrees. The oil was perfectly clean and had never been fried in before. Not realizing the oil was at temp, he simply reached into the oil and grabbed the ring! His arm came out without a burn, but he had a small brand from the ring in his palm. Nothing else. It was scary amazing!
There is a group of people that do most of the tests 90% to completion for the smaller, less harmful myths and 100% over and over for the tougher, more dangerous ones. LONG before these people see the results and act like they're trying it for the first time. I knew someone on a message board that was asked to join their science team. Guinea pigs, pretty much. You think the main actors would have time to test the 900 versions that don't work?
The samething happens to liquid nitrogen u can dip ur hand in it and nothing will happen because u can imagine ur hand as the molten lead and the liquid nitrogen as your hand it is so cold that ur hand is super super hot to it!!!
@cgpirre wrong, there is an effect called the leidnefrost effect. where water touches something soooo hot that the outside of the water istantly steams up, proctect ing the rest of the water for just a second.
@Evi1M4chine If you have TOO much water on your hand then the team skin would rupture and explode sending molten lead all over everyone. It's a careful shake of the right amount of water :P
@DrSmokeTrees how about you do a simple google search if you know how to..."heavy metals soak through skin"... and how about you also fuck off unless you know what your talking about pothead bitch
@jonvagnier Well you apparently don't need the pot dude. While lead can absorb in to the skin, the whole point to this experiment or myth or whatever you want to call it is that the lead, at no point, touches the skin.

@dccarles what ad are you referring to? the small watermark to the bottom right? I didn't even notice it till I read your comment? Almost every tv station/show, whatever has them..sometimes 2 of them..I guess one gets used to it after seeing so much..
holy shit..I hadn't noticed it. wtf, I AM blind...I guess I was interested in seeing it, that I didn't pay attention. Also it was early in the morning so I guess I was tired..went to sleep at 6am
@dccarles It's a message inserted by the (unregistered) video editing software. That it's in the middle of the screen is kind of the point (i.e. so that people pony up the money for it). Silly of people not to either just pay the shareware fee to register them or use a free product instead though.

what if they accidentally put more of their hand in than they intended to.. and got the part that wasn't wet? would the slightly different difference in temperature have made the effect not strong enough to keep their hands from turning into a nasty human BBQ?!
@asdfuogh it doesn't matter if the hand is colder or warmer, what it does matter is the layer of water surrounding it. Because the water is what isolates the hand against the heat. The water surrounding the hand instantly vaporizes and creates a layer of vapor which protects the hand for a short period of time. So it wouldn't matter if your hand would be cold or warm, you'd still get burnt if you don't get it wet first.
@kristicuk Actually, no... The water was to cool the hand how to a temperature lower than the room temperature so there is more temperature "difference" which would increase the Leiden effect. Get it?
@FreezingHazard You're wrong, kristcuk is right. The Leiden Effect is when a layer of vapor forms around a moist object that is subjected to extreme temperatures. Just like when a drop of water hits a hot pan. It doesn't dissipate immediately. It bounces around of a sheet of vapor for a moment first.
