@drummer4life54 Different than the Collector's Series actually. The Performance Series have their own shell type with the HVX but you can not customize the finish like you can with the Collector's Series. You can not get the HVX shell type with the Collector's Series.

Whoever said Tama Silverstar... lol. Dw makes amazing quality products. I still have a pdp fs series birch kit and that sounds better than any tama I've ever heard at all. At this point it's hard to tell how many and which artists exactly are using the Performance Series exclusively but we have had great feedback from our artists about the tone and sound of the Performance Series!

It's funny how almost every one of these drummers pretty much almost say that these aren't actual DWs before catching themselves. Still pretty sweet set though.

This is just a promo i hope the drummers remember there lines dw always goes overboard with there promos always saying that they are inventing things like VLT that type of shells have bin done by sonor since the 60s. The jazz line is a Gretsch copy i could go on and on.

@DrumWorkshopInc hi dw im wondering if you guys have a specific part for my snare drum i need to replace the part thats on the opposite end of the throw off that holds the other end of the strap for the wires and whats that part called?
@matty16222 haha. This almost seems like a joke, but in all seriousness, it's called a "butt plate" and the part number for the standard version is DRSP001CR (CR stands for Chrome). You can get it in all 5 colors (CR, SC-satin chrome, BN-black nickel, BC-black chrome, and GD-gold). But for about the same price, you can get our new 3P (3-position) Butt Plate (which fits on all DW Snares from at least the last 5 years). It's part number is DWSM2158
If you haven't noticed yet, DW has added 3 Finish Ply finishes to the choices for Performance series. The existing 5 finishes are now going to be laquered.

It's "just" a fair feedback to what you guys have done! I appreciate having the possibility to give this directly to you.I went for the full set. 3 rack toms, 2 floor toms,18x22 bass and this phenomenal 6,5x14 snare in white ice. I did not miss more options as the drums are looking beautiful to me and the qualitiy is absolutely on top of the line. I wanted to go for a pure white laquer finish anway. So everything is totally perfect. Thx for picking me up into your great family

hey dw i was just wondering if i get dw tom mounts will the mounts on the pdp x7 toms fir on the tom arm of the dw stm or do i have to channge the mount on the pdp toms
@matty16222 Great question. The L-arm for PDP is 10.5mm while DW is 1/2inch. We do offer the ball+L-arm part so that you can put a PDP L-Arm on a DW stand. The 10.5mm ball+L-Arm part number is DWSM99M

@matty16222 hmmm. For give me, I'm not sure what you mean by "dw tom clamps." This might require a phone call. Feel free to call our Customer Service department at 1-800-45-DRUMS. Are you asking if a PDP tom (with STM) will fit on a DW tom stand? If so, then M5, FS, X7, and Platinum PDP toms made in the last couple years should fit on DW tom stands. But like I described above, the "post" (L-arm) that the tom slides on to is a different size for DW and PDP.
@matty16222 If the X7 kit was made in the last couple years, it should fit. If not, you can replace the arms with the PDP arms which are part number DWSM99M

@killjoyshidae1208 We do not have one just yet for DW but Drum Channel has footage of Cobus. Just search "Cobus Drum Channel" in the You-tube search engine and you find some footy of Cobus playing and being interviewed. Have a good one!

It's funny how almost every one of these drummers pretty much almost say that these aren't actual DWs before catching themselves. Still pretty sweet set though.

@parthor1 Well the Performance Series are not the Collector's Series and these guys know that well. All these guys loved the way the Performance Series sound or we couldn't get them to do this conference. Thanks for the thinking the set is sweet!

This is just a promo i hope the drummers remember there lines dw always goes overboard with there promos always saying that they are inventing things like VLT that type of shells have bin done by sonor since the 60s. The jazz line is a Gretsch copy i could go on and on.
dw is good but they need to stop doing these over the top promos

@DrumWorkshopInc hi dw im wondering if you guys have a specific part for my snare drum i need to replace the part thats on the opposite end of the throw off that holds the other end of the strap for the wires and whats that part called?

@matty16222 haha. This almost seems like a joke, but in all seriousness, it's called a "butt plate" and the part number for the standard version is DRSP001CR (CR stands for Chrome). You can get it in all 5 colors (CR, SC-satin chrome, BN-black nickel, BC-black chrome, and GD-gold). But for about the same price, you can get our new 3P (3-position) Butt Plate (which fits on all DW Snares from at least the last 5 years). It's part number is DWSM2158

If you haven't noticed yet, DW has added 3 Finish Ply finishes to the choices for Performance series. The existing 5 finishes are now going to be laquered.

We will continue to offer the 5 Premium Hand-Sprayed Lacquer finishes we introduced the series with.

Congratulations! Last Monday I played these drums and I was totally speechless.They sound that awesome.Unbelivable! I have been fan of Tama for a very long time and I was thinking about buying the new Starclassic but after I played these Drums? Not at all. I compared them with the top line sets of more or less all well known Brands (did not found Yamaha) but the DW Performance seemed just laughing about them.I ordered them on Monday right away.Thanks DW for building these Drums!

We really worked hard to make Performance Series the same quality level as DW Collector's, but a fraction of the price (simply by limiting some custom options). It's "just" a fair feedback to what you guys have done! I appreciate having the possibility to give this directly to you.I went for the full set. 3 rack toms, 2 floor toms,18x22 bass and this phenomenal 6,5x14 snare in white ice. I did not miss more options as the drums are looking beautiful to me and the qualitiy is absolutely on top of the line. I wanted to go for a pure white laquer finish anway. So everything is totally perfect. Thx for picking me up into your great family

Has an iridescence to it like that famous high-line Japanese car-maker that rhymes with nexus ;) Indeed, those Performance Snares are probably the highlight of the whole series. 10-Ply all maple HVX does not mess around! hey dw i was just wondering if i get dw tom mounts will the mounts on the pdp x7 toms fir on the tom arm of the dw stm or do i have to channge the mount on the pdp toms

@matty16222 Great question. The L-arm for PDP is 10.5mm while DW is 1/2inch. We do offer the ball+L-arm part so that you can put a PDP L-Arm on a DW stand. The 10.5mm ball+L-Arm part number is DWSM99M

@matty16222 hmmm. For give me, I'm not sure what you mean by "dw tom clamps." This might require a phone call. Feel free to call our Customer Service department at 1-800-45-DRUMS. Are you asking if a PDP tom (with STM) will fit on a DW tom stand? If so, then M5, FS, X7, and Platinum PDP toms made in the last couple years should fit on DW tom stands. But like I described above, the "post" (L-arm) that the tom slides on to is a different size for DW and PDP.

@matty16222 If the X7 kit was made in the last couple years, it should fit. If not, you can replace the arms with the PDP arms which are part number DWSM99M
