  • Definetely love the 2nd one much more.

  • @Grumpy7783 Thanks, but believe it or not, in the same conditions both horns would sound about identical.

  • @SGTFHRN I miss your older k5HL's, (the ones you had in this video). Wish I could've heard those on the BSFSRY

  • The second one sounds like CSX q740 and q741, the south and northbound tropicana juice trains.

  • how much does a k5hl cost

  • It's a GEVO! LOL nice video!

  • more more more, but shave and a hair cuts with themmmmm

  • Thanks for the comments, but what's with shave and a haircut? It's one thing if it's a greeting from the engineer on a train, but what's the point if the horn's on a vehicle?

  • type in Amtrak Shave and a Hair Cut, and look

  • Nice K-5HL's! I love the sound of the second one.

  • Thanks Alex! I think the first one would sound much nicer if I could record it somewhere with echos like I did with the second one. But if a horn sounds decent out in a wide open area like Padre Island, you know it'll sound great with some trees and hills to bounce the sound around.

  • Of course. It would probably sound a lot better if it had some echo.

  • it would be even better if it was a bnsf k5hll or a union pacific k5hll?

  • I think ABF would've made it sound better as well - I've never been a fan of reversed bells.
