I actually compared this to both Human League & Saint Etienne when I reviewed the album. I always thought if Lush reformed Miki would do a cracking job to vocals for this
This track was released as a single only on a limited edition vinyl 7". Is this why it was never the massive monster no.1 hit it certainly deserved to be? Sing-Sing were a great little band who blossomed briefly (well, OK, about 7 years) out of the wreckage of Lush, and should have been given way more promotion than they got. Their light was snuffed out by media indifference, and the road through the ages of musical endeavour is littered with similar examples of unrewarded talent.
