  • I listened with my Grandma aGold album loved it thanks for the Post

  • wow, nice

  • hi! i`m not a musician bat i like your version a lot.

i`m tradional and don`like the cover.my first choice is Monroe and for second Cash.

Now, Cash is third,YOU are the second! Your voice is born for that, is very cool, scratch and scrape, i like it.

and i like when there is the sighs (don`t know the correct word sorry, i tolking obout when you sobbing) high and sound like you start to clash, bat jump back with your warm voice.

Thank you so much for your music.

    Davide by Italy.

  • Wow,!!! I have loved this song since I was a little kid, but never knew who wrote it or heard the original version. Now I get all that an excellent video presentation too! A great roots tribute.

You should do more like this. Go back through time, find the roots of other great, historic, covered songs and then weave them together with your video work.

    Thanks!

  • Good job putting this one together.

    5 stars!

  • 1 man band

  • this is the best version of this song i ever herd! 5*!!!!!!

  • nisly dun iv never seen such a great song it my not be a amv but its wonderfull but if u check the history the ghost riders were rill there were 3 types the fire hourse riders or the pilegers (the guys who turned towns to fire) the slave neck men (the 1s who hanged u if thay sow u or the lonatick ones that always got sho before hay got u with a laso) but the last were the leaders (the divels bounty hunters as there called like the ones from ghost rider) there still alive to day but smaller

  • Why thanks, kleiboff! Hmmm... maybe it'll be time soon for another Country tune. 8-)

  • please someone tell me!!! is this original artist??????

  • Hi black84camaro. It's me, Diesel Bodine, singing and playing an old song written before I was born. Thanks for visiting!

    8-)

  • ok hi. is this original version???

  • Hi black84camaro. This is my arrangement. It is not based on the original version necessarily. I took whatever freedoms I felt necessary to create what you're hearing.

  • we are doing this song in our grade 9 band haha! I am the trombone so I get to do the cool part

  • Hi stepherroo444... that sounds like fun. I'd love to hear the arrangement your school is doing. 8-)

  • Good Job on this Video i loved it.

  • Thanks, riommada! I appreciate hearing that! 8-)

  • You definitly got a voice for country, this was a pleasantly calm version of the song to listen to.

  • Thank-you mansonii... I used to sing more old Country tunes in the past, but haven't been doing much lately. I will be adding some more Country tunes, mixed in with everything else I do, sometime in the future though. I already have some ideas in mind... it's just a matter of when I get to them.

  • yeeehaaaaaaa howdy... thats rocks...

  • Danke, Herr Dirk... Yeehaw! LOL & 8-)

  • Jazzo, we'd probably make a funny cowboys. Imagine a cowboy playing the Contra Bassoon! When we were kids, there were a lot of cowboy movies and TV shows, but in France, too? 8-)

  • Excellent! Great song and pictures, very relaxed interpretation - and sound. I really loved that you played traditional / acustic instruments (an electric bass or extended modern drum set somehow tend to kill C&W). Thanks for a new favorite.

  • Cool ftom! I have to laugh hearing my "Yips!" on this video as I type out this response to your comment. It's fun to take the old tunes and do one's own thing with them. 8-)

  • Another 5*. I've seen all your vids now - they just get better and better. Appreciate all the work you put in to keep us entertained. Great taste in music as well.

  • Holy cow! Thanks, webpainter! Hey! Add me as a "Friend," Your comments will post immediately then. I sure do appreciate your comments and subscription! You must have a pretty diversified taste in music. That's great! 8-)

  • My musical taste is so divers I can never answer the question 'what is your favourite song?' I listen to a mix of classical, blues, jazz, Be-bop, R&B, rock'n'roll, folk, world music, and I just love the dance bands of the 30's, songs of Gershwin, Berlin etc., Portuguese Fado, contemporary, country before 1960, and many more. That's just to start. I'm not an expert on any of them but just enjoy listening and foot tapping.

  • Hey Scott another great one, lot's of imagination in here, great music and images, don't run away with Marlene though else Fred wont have the "Footbass"and comping anymore,Greets Vic.

  • Don't worry, Victor. Marlene changed her mind. She decided she likes Freddy better than me. It must be his diet of Pokeweed. When she discovered that I never ate Pokeweed, she dropped me like a hot Potato!

  • okay.thats it.marlene favorited this.i aint no fool you varmint.you 2 are plotting to kill me and run away together

  • Ha-ha! Already got the Airplane tickets! LOL & 8-)

  • This is Great!! I love the music and the pictures. You are so creative!

  • Thanks, Marlene. There's a guy named Freddy on here... says this is the 1st toon he ever learned back in 1848! Wow! 8-)

  • the year was 1948 and i lived in hawaii.bought my first guitar.this was the first tune i learned.you are the king.marlenes going nuts listening to this!

  • How about that! This is the 1st toon you learned? That's cool, Freddy!

  • man you are gooooood.........my favorite things in the world. cows and boys and music...you are one of them artisits indeed!!!!

  • I guess that 6 "o" good means you liked my video. Thanks, Amy! I workd on this all day yesterday and posted it late last night. I got to stop staying up so late making videos. I had to wake up for work at 5 AM! Got 3 hours sleep! I'm in a daze. 8-)

  • An excellent version of a country classic! I was singing along with you on that one. Awsome bro!

    Peace!

  • Thanks, Darren. I have some new ideas for videos, but I think I'm too tired to make one today. Maybe I could make a quick talk one... I haven\'t done that kind of B.S. in a while! 8-)

  • Howdy Diesel!! great vid! xxxx

  • Thanks again, Nina! I am opposed to the treatment of the cows in this video.

  • I love animals Diesel but Cows are an Animal of which i am scared of! when i was little i was at an animal park and one tryed to engulf my head with its tongue..lol xx

  • Nina, there must have been something "hay scented" about you! LOL... slurp... Mmm, hay! 8-)

  • I like hay! great for rolling in..lol..perhaps that could be ur next video subject Diesel..'The joys of hay'..xx

  • Nina's thinking naughty! 8-)

  • lol! I was thinking more being as one with the farm animals!! hahaha

  • I agree with Dave, the video/music sync is incredible !! 5 stars from me too.

    Mike

  • Thanks Mike. I had to work today, so maybe I won't make a new video today.

  • As we say in the UK, "throw a sicky" ;) Not that I ever have >8-)

  • nor me neither!! lol

  • nice scott. you know, you are incredibly versatile, but you seem most 'at home' playing country. great song.

  • I'd rather play Jazz tunes, but for a while I was exploring old Country toons. I can't stand hearing most "New Country" songs. "New Country" is to Country Music, what "Smooth Jazz" is to Jazz. Just my opinion, Jesse.

  • Another hit Scott! I put this one in my best music videos playlist! Thats amazing how you choreograph the images to the music! 5 glowing orbs !!

  • Thanks, Dave. I thought it would be an interesting song to try to make a video out of. The synchronization does take up a bunch of time!

  • DieselBodine strikes again ! i dont know how you find the time to do it, i'm struggling to get just one song/vid together and youre turning out polished productions like theres no tomorow !!

Particularly like the vocal on this one.

Getting to be a habit now, wake up stumble to the PC, power up and straight to Youtube to see your newest offering !

Yeehaw, theres worse habits though, sos i aint complaining like !

  • Mr. Baz, I'll be slowing down the velocity by which new videos come rip-roaring out from my brain. I'll try to make a few more in the near future though. 8-)

  • Hit the spot again, dude. Another childhood favourite of mine from my grandads collection. Somewhere I have his US issue original copy.

Good cover Scott, nicely paced and played.

See you are rapidly heading towards the 100 video mark but still keeping up the quality and content.

  • Thanks, Mike. Yes, 100 is right around the corner. Hmmm... How should I celebrate this Bodinian milestone? Hmmm... 8-)

  • Maybe relax and get some sleep? Too much cofee burns you out man!

  • Oh I love it! .. Ok, it's sad, you have found the only Country music that I do love, Stan Jones /drool :D

And you did it well, I love the video. - Check out my chickens in my latest video, closest I've done of showing my farm as yet hehe :D

  • You're a riot, Cheeze! Chickens, I'll be right there. 8-)

  • YEEEHAAAWW!!!

    Beautiful playing.

    :D

  • Yeehaw!!! Don't get me started on that again, d2w. Yeehaw!!! 8-)
