  • I want the painting at 2:03 - is it for sale?

  • I see you love the blues a lot....great paintings!!!

  • Hi Lance, real nice this Vid on your Art work, see that you love painting Blues guitarists(real cool). Is that your wife that walked toward the camara. Slowly I'm getting informed in the world of Archtopbrownie, respect for you man that you can make a living of your Art. greets Victor.

  • Yes Victor, that's my lovely wife Debra. Yesterday we celebrated 26 years of married bliss. Making a living in the arts is 10 percent talent, 90 percent sweat and another 90 percent luck (I know that doesn't add up) But my point is Debra is the best thing that ever happened to this old dog. I am a very lucky man.

  • There are no mistakes in nature. Therefore it must add up. One might surmise from your predominant themes what interests you the most. Thanks for the tour.

    Aloha, Thomas

  • That's some nice artwork Lance and great music to go with it. Thanks for posting this.*****

    All the best to you,

    Steve

  • This is Awesome Lance! Thanks for sharing it. Your artwork and music really brighten up my day and help make this world a better place to live :) God Bless you friend! -Charlie

  • And a nice comment like that goes a long way toward brightening my day as well. Thanks Charlietootunes - Four of my vids favorited... Wow!

  • Love your art!!...hope it was a success!

  • Thanks Beeke. I appreciate the compliment. To be honest it is a long way from someone admiring a painting to actually purchasing it but this was a start. I got organized and learned a lot and sensed that I'm on a good track. Getting it to make a living is the next challenge.... duh. Why am I not surprised? Best wishes. - Lance

  • That is wonderful Lance. Music and your art work. I love the way your tune walked me into your world. And your music also touched on the changes in ones(your?) life...some melancholy moments and easy going most of the time. Like your other uploads...this one is just as awesome...dennis

  • Thanks Dennis. Well, it's not highly produced or anything. Just sort of a slice of life thing. But I'm glad you liked it. And thanks for picking up on the sad feel of the dissonant part of the song. It makes me think of a sad clown doing a little sad dance.

  • this is awesome Lance. the guitar is perfect.love the guy on the floor around 2:02. really striking. thanks. 5*****

  • He's simply callled "Country Blues". Glad you like him. Thanks for the strokes.

  • Thanks theerion. I really appreciate that. 63 years and counting... I've had time to make a lot of mistakes.

  • Lance, this is just a thing of beauty my friend! The guitar work is serene and sublime. The rich musical culture in Chicago is a gift to humanity, and your art reflects the deep quality, and greatness of this musical mosaic, and I truly love it, and it moves me,Thanks so much...Reg

  • Man, if I'm going to get a higher compliment than that I'm going to have to write it myself. Thanks Reg.

  • Amen to your parenthetical statement my brother. Amen to that. It's over and all back in my studio which looks like a tornado went through it. As to the pickin' - can't play fast but if you put it up to 78 I'm greased lightnin'. Thanks. Glad you liked the song Jerry.... and the wife too. Please send me her name so I can stop calling her "the wife."

Happy birthday, btw, I was so busy working and

scared I couldn´t deliver in time, so pls excuse my being late with best wishes .

  • That bearded fellow is my bass playing friend, Doug. The guy with the harp is my buddy, Brad. And that fetching damsel is my wife and best friend, Debra. Not to worry on the birthday. I figure you're the first to wish me a happy 64th. Best to you Elie and thanks.. I wish you could have been there too.

  • Nice tune, Lance. The hallmark of good music is that two hours later, you can still hear it in your head (well, unless of course, it's a Britney Spears tune). Glad to see your art work is getting the public space. It deserves more!

  • Thanks Big Ben. This is the first step on what should be an exciting... and hopefully a long-term new adventure. I've painted for years but haven't shown until now. Let's hope I get what I deserve... or maybe not! 'o)

  • Yeah, van Gogh, be careful what you wish for!

  • Art work cool.tune awesome (got I hate that word but it is a smokin' tune)..nice to have a place where everyone can get togeather and see what the local art vibe is...very nice.

  • I know what you mean Brad... the Grand Canyon is awesome. I get to feeling that awesome and the "F" word are the most overused (and thereby weakened) words on youtube. Anyway, I hear you and very much appreciate the compliment. I'll get to your new one soon.

  • Lance,my man...a beatiful tune; so nicly composed;great architecture; rich in tone coloring, and charm; and performed so exquisitly! I'm sure you must be exceptionally proud of this piece...and so you should be! I really, really like it... regards, AL

  • Hey Al, Haven't heard from you in a while. Thanks for the great comment. Sorry to say, I am way behind on catching up with everybody's videos. This project really overwhelmed me. I'll get a look at your latest soon... promise.
