The Qur’an 20:53, talks of God who has, "...made the earth for you like a carpet spread out..." I'm not sure how "spread out like a carpet" means that the earth is round. Anyway, the earth is not "egg shaped" either it is round. I can find dozens of mistakes and contradictions in your "holy book" I can find just as much in mine.I know that anything I say will not convince you otherwise because you are already convinced. Best of luck to you but I believe that we are done discussing this matter.
@fandanstan Here's a quote from Galen's "On Semen" (english translation) where he also refers to Hippocrates. You can judge for yourself if you think the Quran is more detailed. The comments in brackets and UPPERCASES are added.
"But let us take the account back again to the first conformation of the animal, and in
order to make our account orderly and clear, let us divide the creation of the foetus
@fandanstan 1.The first is that in which, as is seen both in abortions and in dissection, the form of the semen prevails (in Quran this stage is Nutfah). At this time, Hippocrates too, the all-marvelous, does not yet call the conformation of the animal a foetus; as we heard just now in the case of semen voided in the sixth day, he still calls it semen.
@fandanstan 2.But when it has been filled with blood (in ), and heart, brain and liver are
still unarticulated and unshaped yet have by now a certain solidarity and considerable size, this is the second period; the substance of the foetus has the form of flesh and no longer the form of semen. Accordingly you would find that Hippocrates too no longer calls such a form semen but, as was said, foetus.
@fandanstan 3.The third period follows on this, when, as was said, it is possible to see the three ruling parts clearly and a kind of outline, a silhouette, as it were, of all the other parts (Arabic Mudghah). You will see the conformation of the three ruling parts more clearly, that of the parts of the stomach more dimly, and much more still, that of the limbs. Later on they form "twigs", as Hippocrates expressed it, indicating by the term their similarity to branches.
@fandanstan 4.The fourth and final period is at the stage when all the parts in the limbs have been differentiated; and at this part Hippocrates the marvellous no longer calls the foetus an embryo only, but already a child, too when he says that it jerks and moves as an animal now fully formed (in the Quran `A new creation')." (end of quote)
@fandanstan So the first stage of Galen corresponds to Nutfah in the Quran, the drop of semen. The second stage, a bloody vascularised embryo with unshaped brain, liver and heart ("when it has been filled with blood") corresponds to Alaqa, the blood clot. The third stage "has the form of flesh" and corresponds to Mudghah, the morsel of chewed flesh. The fourth and final stage was when all the organs were well formed, joints were freely moveable, and the foetus began to move.
@fandanstan Also, the bones DO NOT form first and then get clothed with flesh/muscle as this video claims. About this issue the mainstream embryology contradicts Dr. Keith Moore's book's "Islamic additions" part, which is the source referred in all the miracles of the Quran claims about embryology.
But the detailed explanation about this would be too long for comment section, I'll send that into your inbox.
@SidHenderson Tsk tsk. Copying from anti-Islamic websites I see. That's okay. I forgive you. I just have one question for you:
Galen made a lot of mistakes with respect to embryology as well, and none of them are found in the Quran. If the Quran is based on his works, why aren't the glaring mistakes there as well?
Also, cartilage is the precursor of bones, which DO form first. heheheh
@fandanstan Lol, it's irrelevant where I took the information since the Galen quote I gave you is a valid translation. You can check it yourself at ”Google Books”, just google the first sentence of the quote and the first link should lead you to Google Books, Galen ”On Semen” (start at page 93).
@fandanstan And the Quran does make same bones & flesh/muscle mistake as Galen did, from ”On Semen” (page 101): ”… The time has come for nature to articulate the organs precisely and to bring all the parts to completion. Thus it caused flesh to grow on and around all the bones...”
And lol as I told you, yes, cartilage is a precursor of bones, but it is not bone. The Quran is talking about bone which develops contemporaneously with muscle, not before muscle.
Hay caramba, has anyone seen the new videos about the age of the sphinx? If not, then it is older than the ice age. What that means in terms of what this video is saying is that you have hundreds of thousands of years to study something and find all mistakes and then correct them perfectly, after experimenting according what you want to write about, then publishing. Do you think that in our life time we have enough time to find flaws. Think about it? Perfection beyond your life timeBCRITICAL
koran is well known on how easy u can interpret his words, is a book based on confusion and contradictions, for easy minded people, they will see for example the name of allah written everywhere, in the clouds, on a egg, on a apple, in your ear, they like that, is just the product of visionary people who need imaginary friends to give sense to their life, Atheist , people of 21st century as we are we don't need fairy tales, I can live very well by my own rules of social behaving, more than them!
This is the same Koran that teaches that the earth is flat and mountains are "pegs" that hold the land down?Sorry, but this proves at best that even a broken clock is right twice a day. Here is a thought for all you true believers If any of your so called "holy books were truely the perfect written word of god ,then nobody on earth could find any error in such a "perfect" document. It's truth would would be so obvious that ALL would recognize it and obey it.Yet they are all full of contradictions
@AProudMuslim786 Ummmmm, I have done the research and it DOES say that the Earth is flat. I would respectfully ask you to take your own advice and look it up. Don't worry the Bible says the same. My point is that neither book should be taken word for word. Regards.
@kordun1111 No, this shows you have not done your research, “And we have made the earth egg shaped”. the word egg shape in arabic is "Dahaha" which means geospherical egg shape like an ostrich egg, the earth is just like an ostrich egg not fully spherical. Who could of said this 1400 years ago when everyone thought earth was flat?
Why don't people check the facts before posting a video?
No text book today follows this nonsensical description. Except the Islamic version of Moore's book "The Developing Human". His "normal" version does not mention the Koran at all and has the correct description.
Science is just a way for us to get closer to God and His proof of excistence. But most people prefer to stay deaf dumb and blind.
Just as the great Albert Einstein said: 'Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.'
The miracles of the Quran are just amazing. And more and more are yet to be discovered.
I was hooked only after the miracles of 'the bee,the ants, the mountains, the three stages in the womb, the seven layers of the sky,the ozon layer and finger prints.
The part before bones get mentioned really only states that embryos start out small, and get bigger. This is no mystery, as even people then knew where babies came from (and that's not from clay).
Then it says that bones develop, then are covered with flesh. Well, if I just look at my body, I can see that the the bones appear to be at the core, and the muscles (flesh) exist on top of the bones. It does not take a genius to work out that the bones probably came first. Not much of a prediction.
its been discovered for a long time and written in the quran im really proud to be in a religion that i know it has all life's answers i wish ppl could understand the video but because they are not sure of thier realign so they question others religion ,, thank you brother .. i just wish that they will think for a minute to think about what christen and jews have gave them i guess nothing cuz all of them are hallow ..='(
Knowledge of the embryo has existed since hunters and herders slaughtered the first female animal for food and saw an embryo in development. Knowledge of the embryo dates back thousands of years before the Quran.
eeels05 Allah says now 1 says you to believe in Allah and Hese Book ist your own choise you are responabel for your own acts and what you and al non believers whill say on the Day IF I ONLY KNEW THESE BEFORE they only thing i whill do on earth is pray to Allah(SWT) 24/7 thats only thing i got to say to you humans who doint believe
Ok batata25 I understand what your saying. Now try looking at it from my point of veiw.
Christians,Jews,Islamics etc all believe their holy books to be the one true account of creation/word of God on earth. You all reserve Hell for anyone either not sharing your beliefs,or of another belief system altogether.
Common sense says you cant ALL be right.
Its a ridiculous fact that the entire planet has been cursed to the pits of hell,by opposing religions.
And Al Books And Profets(POTM) JESUS MOSES ABRAHAM Come from Allah(SWT) if you say as muslim no thats not treu then you saying There more then 1 GOd and thats not Islam Islam came cuz people worshipping JESUS!!! instead of GOD Hime self and HE GOT NOOO SON FINK ABOUT THAT AND HELL IS FOR EVRY1 NO1 onEARTH IS Geranteeeed Paradijs fink about that before you coment what tv says:)
What does TV have to do with my comment? Please explain?
You've just provided an example of what I'm talking about.Your point about how a Muslim cant agree with me because it goes against Islam,is exactly why Christian's cant agree with me AGAINST a 'virgin birth'or the 'reserection of Jesus'because it would undermine the basic foundation of their beliefs.Whats the difference?
My basic question still stands. Can you not see that you cant all be right??
Muslims brothers and sisters, please show this video and other Quranic sciece video especially "word repetitions" to all the people you know including Muslims and non-Muslims, to your family, to your friends.
the truth is in front of you. and it also said that in quran, it said that the truth is infront of them and they still wont belive. the quran knew that also.
if all of this was written in the Quran 1400 years ago, there is no way a human could of came up with these statements (that could be this accurate) due to the lack of tecnology and science back then, Allah wrote these true facts and revealed them to his messenger (prophet Muhammad) and now these statements are now being described as truthful and accurate from scientists all over the world.
I think the video itself proves everything.. and if you want to debate, be more specific so as to answer you.. I only block people who speak in uneducated and un respected way.. so you are always welcomed..
Besides what difference does it make what the Pope has apologised for?In light of the recent death of the Catholic nun at the hands of rabid Islamic's over the pope's percieved insult,I'd say that's kind of a strange point to make wouldn't you?
Anyway,I really dont care about the crusades,my point is to point out that scientific discoverys can't be credited to religion.Agree or disagree?
Imagine what discoveries they may have been to scared to make public, for fear of being labeled a heretic and being stoned to death(in the case of Islam),or being burnt at the stake(in the case of Christianity.Like Harris or not,I believe he makes a good point.
Aye my point exactly. He refers to all religions. The point of the quote is to point out my belief there is a difference between religion and science. What's total 'bullshit' is when advocates of a particular religion try to justify it's existance by pointing out amazing scientific advances made by said religions.Like the individual bessed with the right amount of intelligence to make said discoveries was inspired by the Quoran or the 'Holy Bible'.
What you quote is total bullsh.t eels05. I do not debate it being right or wrong, but from the context, even a moron could understand that the text does have to do with all faiths, not only Islam. It is very interesting to see that Harris tries to defend crusaders.
My position is Sam Harris is a moron. It was not that long ago that even Pope John Paul II did not back up crusaders, he apologised for their actions.
"There is no telling what out world would be like had some great Kingdom of reason emerged at the time of the crusades and pacified the credulous multitudes of Europe and the Middle East.We might have had modern Democracy and the Internet by 1600.The fact that religious faith left it's mark on our civilisation is not an arguement in its favour, nor can any particular faith be exonerated simply because certain of its adherants made foundational contributions to human culture".
sorry but you dont make sense islam has all your questions answered just read the holy quran to find out the truth!! before you give all this nonsanse
No sorry, your the one not making sense.I didn't ask any questions.
I quoted that paragraph because I believe it states my belief on the topic of scientific discovery in 'religion'.That being that I dont believe 'religion' of whatever kind can lay claim to having made break-through discoverys.Talented individuals make break-through discoverys.Makes me wonder(like the paragraph quoted),just how more advanced our spiecies would be if we hadn't been held back by repressive religious dogma.
How about you go through point by point what you don't 'get',and then I'll explain it to you.You see this is how intelligent discussion works. Are you coping with that much or do I need to slow down for you?
Better still how about you explain your position, assuming you even have one that is.
so what if am 14 least im young ang i do get it..meaning your wrong!!there is no need for you to explain all that, as far im concerned it worries me how people can understand you, COS YOU DONT MAKE SENSE ...and i am sharp minded so there is no need for you to slow down for me and i have a better position than you !!!!
"We can also say that every human achievement prior to the twentieth century was accomplished by men and women who were perfectly ignorant of the molecular basis of life.Does this suggest that a nineteenth-century veiw of biology would have been worth maintaining?
To quote a book 'The End of Faith'by Sam Harris, that may or may not make any difference to you.."It is a truism to say that people of faith have created everything of value in our world, because nearly every person who has ever swung a hammer or trimmed a sail has been a devout member of one or another religious culture. There has been simply no one else to do the job.
Your religion didn't discover how muscles wrap over bone, some talented individuals,(ahead of their time did).Give those individuals their due,Islam is not a science,or a scientist,it's a religion.
Islam is a way of life.. This is written in Quran.. how do you think talented individuals knew that??.. They knew nothing about that.. the arabs before Islam knew nothing about science.. it's one of the miracles of the Quran..
I think you are confusing different things here, this is written in the Quran, that is the book that was revealed to the prophet (PBUH)(Divine Revelation), this video in particular doesn't make any claim that the muslims made any scientific discoveries. it shows what God says in his book about his creation... that's all
You know what i think? i really think that how ever much you try to prove the ppl who are blind the truth they go even blinder but for the believers it strongers there faith
The Qur’an 20:53, talks of God who has, "...made the earth for you like a carpet spread out..." I'm not sure how "spread out like a carpet" means that the earth is round. Anyway, the earth is not "egg shaped" either it is round. Ancient Greece was quite familiar with human anatomy, at least as far as muscles, veins, bones went before the Quran was published.

I quoted that paragraph because I believe it states my belief on the topic of scientific discovery in 'religion'.That being that I dont believe 'religion' of whatever kind can lay claim to having made break-through discoverys.Talented individuals make break-through discoverys.Makes me wonder(like the paragraph quoted),just how more advanced our spiecies would be if we hadn't been held back by repressive religious dogma.

you dont make sense get it!!!and..your quotes are useless.. face the fact ,dontthink high of your self cus you havent discovered anything!!u weirdo

Your 14,lol,no wonder you dont 'get it'!

They knew nothing about that.. the arabs before Islam knew nothing about science.. it's one of the miracles of the Quran..

yes it is cant take the fact???well its the truth so accept it!!

I think you are confusing different things here, this is written in the Quran, that is the book that was revealed to the prophet (PBUH)(Divine Revelation), this video in particular doesn't make any claim that the muslims made any scientific discoveries. it shows what God says in his book about his creation... that's all
sysarchitect 5 years ago
LOL... Did you even watch the video? It even said until recently Scientists did not know this! But the Quran had this Indo 1400 years in advance!

You know what i think? i really think that how ever much you try to prove the ppl who are blind the truth they go even blinder but for the believers it strongers there faith
