@meinschatzie The way that she is increasing acceleration during many parts of her routine borrows from the the technique used by the ice skater, physics dictates that an object spinning farther from its core requires more energy per revolution, the farther out you stretch your arms or legs the slower you go, the closer in they come the faster you go. Until you run out of momentum. Hope this helps.

The 50mm x is the standard size in the US so if you ever want to compete thats the best to learn on. If you can dance on the larger size switching to a smaller won't be hard. Its tougher to go from smaller to larger. I have both a 50 and 45. I like them both!!

okay thankyou!!! well i just got this comment from someone "The face plate is set up for the UK ceiling joist which are 12" apart vs our 16", so I had to drill a 1/2 inch 2X2 piece of plywood to the ceiling first for stability." ---i am confused!! did u have any problems?

they are right about the joists being different.....but I have always put my poles centered on ONE joist...some do use plywood but I never have. I've never had a problem with using just one joist. The reason I love the x isn't because their portable its because they have a chrome finish and its so smooth and grippy!!
