When the man I hired showed up - on the day of shooting - with that thing, I wanted to strangle him for making a mockery out of the somewhat serious movie I was trying to make. And no, morbidly obese actresses who live in the northeast and are willing to work for free in a non-union student production in January and who are actually decent are not easy to find. But I don't think you need a fat actress to make an intelligent film about feederism.

I seriously doubt a morbidly obese woman, who is also a good enough actress to play this part actually exists, or if they did, that I would have been able to obtain them on my film student budget.

And then they would have had to endure 12 hour shoots under hot lights. It just wasn't feasible. And I don't think having an actual fat woman is all one needs to portray feederism accurately.

@juicyjuicybabe In the world of Indie filmmaking, you take what you can get. You often have to rewrite a character, since the actor you end up with looks completely different than you anticipated. In this case, that would have been impossible. The film is good and does a good job of portraying the character respectfully. A Hollywood film would've thrown in lame "jokes" about being unable to get up after being knocked down or making bodily noises every time the character moves.

A. Yes, there are plenty of SSBBW's and there are plenty of actresses, but that Venn diagram has a very narrow overlap, especially considering I wasn't going to look beyond the northeast United States.

B. Imagine an enormously fat woman, under extremely hot lights, enduring ten-hour shoots, with not very much food or break time because it was a non-union production. Get the picture?

C. It had to be a fatsuit for plot-related reasons. No spoilers.

D. She wasn't that skinny ; )
