I believe one can study the word through the enabling and teaching of the Spirit and be saved. The bible says the Gospel saves, and it is in the bible. I believe God can change one's heart to receive his word whether it is preached openly or it is read with the direction of the Spirit. God's elect will be saved whether someone preaches to them or not. We MUST as Christians preach the gospel, but it is a privilege for the saved to participate in the salvation of the elect. God will get it done.

amen, I was saved and no one lead me to Christ, it was just me and Him. God used ministers to speak the Truth into my life, and He used His Word to bring me to Him too, but at the defining moment, He spoke to me and I answered the call. He is not saying the doctrine is lost in the Bible and he has some sort of "new" revelation, he is saying that many pastors and teachers today don't teach regeneration properly at all or do they believe it. The bible is clear on the regeneration of the Christian. Paul Washer is saying Christians need to start being what they are, new creatures in Christ Jesus.

I said the "prayer" 30 years ago nad so I thought I was saved. Over the years, I have learnt one thing about myself. I am still susceptible to sin and I didn't like that. Paul Washer has made me accept, finally, I AM A SINNER. But for the grace of GOD, I am destined for an eternity in Hell.
