  • Cute. I thought it would have been better without all the symphony music playing.

  • I've never seen this movie, didn't know what the hell was going on and I thought this video would be so gay, and I just got don't crying lol that's the only part I've seen to this movie and I already love it!!!

  • This is starting to happen to my mom, I started to cry while watching this video.

  • i don't wanna date a bunch of people and sleep with a bunch of people like everyone seems to do, i just wanna find the one and just know that they'll always be there and not leave me for no reason not hurt me, just be my best friend and true love...idk why that has to be so difficult and rare...it's sad

  • God, when Noah starts crying after she stops remembering him again, I go crazy crying. Ughh such a sad movie :(

  • Wow. That's love. REAL "till-death-do-us-part" kind of love.

  • is it possible for younger people to have this? this may seem only mild but I can never remember what day it is. I can only remember asking people what day it was but I dont remember the answer. I can't even remember most of the stuff I did the day before. sometimes it is scary, my mom says "you already asked me this a 100 times are you ok?"

  • I'm in tears. This was beautifully made. Major kudos. -3

  • Very good! I am deeply touched by your clip. This is really good!

  • nice

  • The Notebook is a beautiful love story. We all love it. But for another look at the brutal reality of dementia, watch Away From Her. Then read about John Jay O’Connor, III, the husband of Justice Sandra Day O’Conner.

  • Good bye, "Titanic"! To beat a love story like this one will take ages, too!

  • Mind Aid for dementia symptoms. Provides brain with additional source of energy.

  • omg im in tears

  • My grandad had dementia and it was horrible. More awareness should be promoted of it. R.I.P xx

  • OMG I love this movie!!!!

  • Oh my God wat is Happeninig to me i am sorry pls change it change it i am sorry please....

  • @sitadriver- ...you? I'm really sorry to hear that, what stages are you in?

  • the beginning narration is so touching. That's exactly how I feel about my life.

I'm not interested in making a "splash" in life; just making sure I'm happy with myself.

  • Why did I watch that!? NOW IM BAAWLING.

  • clariebear2 best romantic film to date, noah reminds me (personality wise) of an ex of mine as i was once in a similar situation myself, reason why it didnt work out was cos i didnt feal the same way back

  • Oh some fine examples of poor practice when working with people with dementia. If any of the carers I train took to wrestling with someone that was upset or shining torches in their eyes I might suggest a change of career. The husband could do with a bit of support in coping with the situation too, rather than being stared at suspiciously. I never seen the film though, may be over all it's a lovely film. I just hate the perpetuation of myths about how people with dementia should be/are treated

  • 4:20 kills me

  • Memory Programs is a new activities program for seniors. Observations where the programs have been used have shown more engagement, less wandering, less depression, less violence, and more positive work environments with individuals suffering from dementia . • Beautiful

I'm in tears. My grandfather has dimentia.

  • I only saw part of this movie,

now I get the general idea.

    I'm crying :'(

    It's so beautiful!

  • i would like to use this for my project can i get the video off you i added it to my favorites and gave u a five star rating can u send it to me but not the internet url

  • Great video!

  • i WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS FOR MY CLASS PROJECT ON THE STUDY OF DEMENTIA AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF U CAN SEND IT TO ME..?? THANKS

  • The real thing is much worse than this because you cant ever recover you just keep going down hill. I work with dementia patents and it hard to see people deteriorate all the time and eventually some of them don't even recognize you as being human.

  • the clips are sped up.

this is my favorite movie though, i wish i could watch it all on youtube...my brother doesnt let it stay in the dvr.

  • this is soo sad! it makes me cry!. i had to quit watchilng this video.. its so heart breaking .. i feel for anyone person who has had a loved one suffer from dementia or alzheimers.. because its one of the most heart breaking things out there

  • From a family perspective I'm finding the medical treatment of dementia not so much futile as non existant.

  • foarte frumos filmul...l-m vazut de 4 ori pana acum

  • i love this moviee soooo much every time i watch it it makes me cryy

  • This is my favourite film. The ending is so sad...

  • This film always rips my heart out. My mother suffers from alzheimers nearly completely gone mentally. My father has a bad heart, kidneys are shot, but still tries and help with my mom. Until you experience the negative sides of aging personally, you never know how bad it is.

  • this is the best movie ever! i love it..its my favorite movie of all time :) i only cry during two movies and thats 8 below and now, the notebook.

  • This movie is an outsanding representation of love and all that it endures from youth to beyond. Love is never futile. No matter what path it takes us through.

  • As someone who is in the mid stages of Dementia and Neurocognitive Impairment, I must say this was sad and refreshing at the same time. I'm glad productions like this are being made to help people get an idea of what Dementia is all about. As for knowing what may be ahead for me and my partner, that's the sad part.

  • you seem alert if thats you on your page and your message is clear. How are you impaired?Im sorry to hear this .

  • i couldnt stop crying

  • Support is never futile!

  • Amazing film!

im training to be a nurse and this shows you things from a totally new perspective!

    x

  • I can only just say. I work with dementia for years and it's nothing like in that clip. Unfortunatly, it would be wonderfull if it was, but that's just perhaps early stages. Later on it all changes. And is much more sad.

  • yes that is true, the walking is more frail as well.

  • i know what you mean. i was a care assistant at a nursing home before going to university. its so sad watching someone deteriorate froma happy smily fully functional person to a person who can't even recognise themselves in pictures.

  • i love it...make me cry every time!!!

  • I'm a care aide with dementia patients, when I was in school doing my training, this movie came out. BAM it hit home

  • wow.. this was amazing.. made me tear up a little.

  • damn, makes me cry every time!

  • i don't like these kinda movies but it was the saddest movies I think I have ever seen.lol. watched it for the first time last night with the mrs.

  • This is definitely the best movie I have ever seen. A true love story.

  • You should!!! It's a really good book!

  • i cant believe how good this film is.... unbelievable!

  • ive seen this movie like ova a billion times but i cry every time i see it, its beautiful

  • i love this movie!

it gets me cryin every time!

  • "do you think that our love can create miracles?" what a sad and perfect line

  • i absolutely love this film

the only downside is that someone who hasnt had experience of dementia cannot properly appreciate the film

its heart-wrenching at the end, when the old woman (cant remember her name :/) forgets her husband - its something that i think a lot of people will understand

    good video!

  • This is such a sad film, i cry so much when i watch it, its beautiful. When does it say in the film that she has Alzheimers??

  • I bought the DVD and the story was told plainly there that the old lady had dementia.

  • I watched it about 5 times, and i cant see where she says it, i dont mean this in a bad way tho, cos im sure it does, :S lol its a really good vid x

  • At about 1:43 in this video, the doctor mentions that "dementia is degenerative."

  • @xemzyxbemzyx When the husband was talking to the doctor.

  • @xemzyxbemzyx I quote " Senial Dimentia has a slow impact" In other words Alzheimer's.

  • Thanks for making me see again that my Dad isnt just a man with dementia, but just my dad whos lost.

  • Is there any way that I could use this is a class project?? It is perfect, or at least tell me how you did it..

  • Surely you can use it as your class project, as long as you could add this to your Favorite and give me a 5 stars rating.

  • i can't thank you enough for putting this together. this is my favorite movie of all time. my mother grew up in the 40's too, and now has alzheimer's at 83.

this should be shown on the alzheimer's association site.

    this made me sob

  • I understand your emotions. My Dad is lost to dementia.

  • LOVE IT!! ThankYou :)

  • Does all dementia result in death or do they come back?

My friend does not have Alzheimers but severe dementia!

  • The dementia of the Alzheimer's type is one of the degenerative cortical dementias, which means, the person's situation will only go worst, we can only use drugs to slow down the progression of the disease; and it usually occurs in aged persons, so they carry this sickness until the end of their life. In the case of your friend, you have to determine the cause (etiology) of the dementia, some are reversible, some are not... So you can bring your friend to a psychiatrist. Peace!

  • We are taught in society to fear our emotions. But as a man you must face your fear and reject society's conditioning. In the end, if you watch it or don't watch it, do it for your beliefs, not for something fake that was taught to. Peace man.

  • word

  • lol one year on, my comment sounds so hippy to me now

  • t e a r s s s . . .

  • Isn't he the grandfather in "8 simple rules"?

  • Isn't it James Garner?

  • Yes, He is.

  • this movie is so sad but so good i cried

  • This is the green mile i thought!

  • sadest movie

  • this video is awesome. it couldnt have been done better. i searched notebook dementia and i didnt think anything would show up. AND SOMETHING DID. i love it!

  • Let me make this clear. We have 100,000 heartbeats a day. Countless breaths.. If I make one heartbeat easier for my father.. It is not futile. This is called "Humanity". The humanities are easily lost in the physical world, because they are of the Soul..The Spirit. On the other side of the cosmic mirror, the soul is intact - not disparate and seperated from itself. More than half your life is spent in that space while asleep in the physical. Wake up to your soul.

    Love..Adam

  • Absolutely, most positively WELL SAID!!! The idea of the "still small voice"... consciously, one may not hear it, but the soul still does...
