Bernoldi made a good job and I still remember the scandal of Mr. Haug and Mr. Dennis menacing him after the race, because he didn't let pass Coulthard (they told him he would never find another seat for the next season).

Coulthard, simply, had not enough "balls" to pass him with a better and faster car. That's the point.

@ start of the race Verstappen is in front of Coulthard and after that Verstappen drives to the points while Coulthard stays behind Bernoldi. It was a funny situation and during that race Verstappen showed he is a driver who can overtake anywhere. Which resulted in a 8th place finish while he started 19th. Unlucky 8th place didn't get him points in 2001.

There's some moves that are allowed and some aren't. 2:444 is a classic incident of oen that shouldn't as accidents can be caused with negative driving like that. Bernoldi should have acknowledged his car was far less powered compared to the McLaren and let him through rather than run strings close to the Stewards.

Well, Senna had a much slower car at 93's British GP compared to the top cars. But when Prost and even Schumacher tried to pass him, he defended himself intensively, just like Bernoldi here.

I think Bernoldi was in his absolute right as a race driver, fighting for position.

But I read somewhere that the rear aerodynamics of that 2001 Arrows car used to affect the cars behind it, especially the McLarens...?

Possibly, I've read a race that Murray was commentating on where Gilles Villeneuve had a miraculous start and got to the front and basically won by keeping everyone-else behind him. That day though he used his speeds on the straights and did what I deem to be legal by bunching everyone up in the corners.

Bernoldi could have caused many accidents here which I don't think is safe but hey, the decisions are for the FIA, race control or stewards only.

Yes, in GP Italy 2008 Toro Rosso starting from pole had a very good pace and to trouble to win as all faster cars were lagging behind slower ones. Vettel has still sooo much to learn. kubica has more skills and much more experience. He also has a very good technical knowledge (like Alonso) what helps him a lot to improve his car.

I disagree, some of the moves Bernoldi made were ridiculous, swinging from one side to the other, deliberately blocking the McLaren was frustrating, Coulthard endied up finishing 5th passing many drivers after finally passing Bernoldi, does this not suggest that perhaps Bernoldi's driving was a bit erratic if after 40 odd laps behind the arrows, finally got past the Arrows and then flew up the order. Lol yes, however when DC had a look at an overtaking move on Enrique, he would always mvoe overto block the line and then when DC moed ove to have another go down the racing line, Bernoldi did likewise.

Same as when they were being lapped, when Schumi or Juan Pablo or whoever went through, Dc was about to go through bedfore Bernoldi immediately shut the door and nearly creating an accident and was very lucky that Coulthard had slammed on the brakes many times.
