I don't know if this is comfortable to use or not, but if it is, I'd take comfort over accuracy any day (unless when working with graphic design programs, where accuracy is important).

@SFighter But it's not a question of "beating" the mouse. Of course a regular mouse is more accurate than any other pointing device. If you have healthy hands and arms, there's no problem. The problem is with people with problems using a regular mouse. Then this could maybe be useful.

this is literally Apples multi touch/trackpad without the screen. Which going to create tons of problems unless I could work on a pure white desk like shown int he video, or a pure green one. It will probably be buggy. Plus it runs in to the same problem of being horrible for any sort of gaming or prolonged use

Okay... my idea for a better NGMouse. If you like it, you can steal it but the ones reading this should remember where they heard it first:

A simple three finger glove (thumb, middle finger and the one between which I always forget). One optical camera on the whatever finger, and a pressure sensitive minipad to register if your finger is rubbing the surface up or down. The wtfinger for navigating, the middle one for scrolling, the thumb button to record when a Right-Click action is solicited.

Thumb button+movement of the wtfinger- multiple selection

Thumb button+middle finger pressure- RMB

For gaming, adding ring finger (four finger glove); both ring finger and wtfinger must be on a surface to move the cursor/crosshair/whatever and the middle finger is now the LMB and scroll. Thumbutton is RMB.

For the thumbutton to work, there has to be sufficient pressure which results in a familiar click.

As you can see, it's a working progress. Ideas came and went while typing.
