114, CryEngine 3 - PS3 and Xbox 360 Video

Looks good for consoles but I'm kinda pissed they didn't keep it PC only again cuz they could have done a lot more to it...PC version will most likely be limited since they had to make it friendly enough for the consoles for the most part. Crysis was so ahead of it's time, it's still eating today's systems...I was hoping they would make another to totally blow everyone away including other games like Metro 2033 etc.

I'd rather run this on my pc than on the laggy consoles. I get around 50-60 FPS on Crysis Wars now on my new pc I built.

the only bad parts is u will upgrade again and again just to keep up with games i build few gaming pc's and it costs console gets big plus from me all u do is buy and enjoy u wont worry about damn i wonder if the new cry will run good on my system

PS3 - RSX/Reality Synthesiser

360 - ATi Xenos (An Alpha version of the RV6xx, it's an X1650 (I think) based GPU but modified to an alpha of the HD2xxx, so it supports DX10.

But the RSX isn't DX10, it uses it's own.

I think it uses OpenGL, but I'm not too sure.

But yeh, the graphics are pretty much the same quality (GPU wise) on both systems.

Well this is a PS3 and 360 video, that's why it looks bad. (compared to the PC version).

CryEngine 2 will be used in the PC version, I've heard, but now I've heard CE3 for PC too.

But it's apparently not much different to CE2, probs DX11.

Well my Sapphire 5770 New Edition, is much better since it is non-reference.

And LGA 775 is still perfectly fine.

Hmm... Looks quite impressive, but I have noticed some framerate drops on the 360, and lack of Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering here and there, but non-the-less, quite impresive.

But an off-topic note - The OnLive sounds quite amazing! I'm too lazy to explain it right now, but I think it has a lot of potential. Check it out!

They've really done some great optimizations with the Cryengine.... Doesn't look as good as it does on my PC, and is a bit laggy, but these are just graphics demos right?

Really incredible graphics for X360/PS3! If they tone it down a bit more to a playable level, we could see some amazing looking games for the HD consoles.

The PS3 has more power to use but the 360 is just so much easier to develop for. It's the same as with the PSX and Saturn. The Saturn could have run circles around the PSX but since it was such a pain in the ass to develop for, nobody tried.

someday, people will learn that hard work pays off... eventually, developers will feel the pain when the easy work shows less numbers. im no dissin anything here, im only layin out facts. Here in asia and most parts of the world, Wii, PC and Xbox360 games are pirated, sold for 1$ per game. Because of this... units/consoles are sold like hotcakes earlier. But in the long run, someone is gonna get hurt.

i disagree. ofcourse the consoles will never be hurt by piracy, it even promotes the consoles (one reason why 360 and wii are selling more units). like i said, someone will be hurt, but not sony or microsoft or nintendo. it was too late for piracy to help xbox bloom over the ps2 last gen. you can almost say that ps2 had no competition. as of now, you gotta wonder why playstation lost lots of exclusives. even the supposedly loyal final fantasy.

by your friend having his console modded, he invalidated his warranty for his 360. therefore, he still PAID for the console. microsoft still have his money, AND has a record of a sale. microsoft will never be out of business in that situation. especially if your friend buys ANOTHER 360.
