@pilotboy17 Ya dude the gli is the shit!!!! but the glx is still very cool and very fast...... also I guess that i dont even know if they even made a gli in 2000 but they are both very similar anyways!!!!! very nice car hard to tell its even a glx!!!!!!!
@xbobthejokerx It just depends on how the last owner treated it. I got mine back in 2004 with 74,000 miles. There were no major issues. At around 174,000 miles, I had to fix some of the cooling system (water pump, AC condenser). Just wear and tear like any car this age might experience.
HI, very cool Jetta GLI. Great year too. Would you recommend purchasing an '01 VR6, CAI, exhaust, new clutch, new tires, new parking break, new battery, 3" sport exhaust, sport suspension, 4xtra wheels. All with 101,000 miles for $7200?

Hey. It is a 2000 VR6 GLX (leather seats, cold weather package, and Monsoon sound system). The kit you see and wheels did not come with it. They are from the newer GLI models. It does have pretty good acceleration when it was newer. I have 170,000 miles in it now. The VR6 engines are known for nice torque.
It's more exterior than anything else. The only other things I have performance wise are the GIAC flashload, UR pulleys, B&M short shifter, I used to have a cold air intake but got rid of it when I sucked up water one time. Luckily the mechanic saved my engine! I decided didn't wanna take a another chance with the CAI, so threw it out. Magnaflow is still on and I love it still after 3 years. I can barely hear it on the highway, but if you roll down the window, it has a nice growl.
Clean As Hell. Awesome.

@FallenCp
You probably got a car by now but if you plan on getting a Vdub make sure to get either a 1.8T or Vr6, stay away from the 2.slowss (2.0).
