Bush is what happens with rednecks and rich folk vote because of the Bible. Look what happened. Sure, gays cant marry, but women can still have their doctors kill babies. But, we're dead last in the world for debt.. The world. Big accomplishment there. Not to mention our allies hate us. The world hates us.
Obama is what happens when you care more about the welfare and development of your country rather than the 'ethical' issues.
If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U. S. membership in the U.N.; no gun control; and no foreign aid. We would have no welfare for big corporations, or the "poor"; No American troops in 100 foreign countries; no Nafta, GATT, or "fast-track"; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; and no income tax.
AIPAC, CFR - Are you a member? Will you be just another impotent puppet who takes orders from multi-national corporations, Israel (via AIPAC connections in the media & business) and PNAC? Who will you obey???
What Barack and all the other great people know is the secret to success. Reknowned philosopher Bob Proctor talks about it in his article which is available here.
If you were working for the police dept., military or any federal jobs and they found out you used illegal drugs in the past, then that is a mandatory disqualifications plus permanent record. Don't care if you were decorated.
How the heck this cocaine addict got into the Senate? Write the same laws they will violate and manipulate. Hypocrite!
His not doing it for his country, he's doing this for himself.
The background check for the police, military, or federal job do not compare to the unrelenting, often illegal background checks of the media and other political machines. If most police officers, soldiers, and other federal employees endured the same treatment more than 50% would be fired. He admitted to his cocaine use to be honest and because he knew it would be found out.
I conducted a very strict urinalysis test regularly when I was in the service , from the rank of private all the way to general. We inform them the same day they will be tested. No immunity baby. I don't know what fictitious comic book you got your info at. I once worked for the sheriff they nailed a lot of people in there.
He took cocaine when he was in college. My point is that if we all got investigated for the entire balance of our lives more than 50% of those people were subject to all the actions in their whole life. Just because you and everyone else in the service had a clean urinalysis doesn't mean that hadn't smoked a joint a year before. That's what I'm talking about. Pretty simple to understand.
Brilliant Speech! Thank you. Why isn't this speech being embraced by the TV networks!? I know. And I am disgusted. Obama, your speech inspires me and volumes of others. Please, keep your purpose in this race real. Your goals, promises, and gut-passion for your message are snowballing new hope for the future of this country and our neighbors.
he's to smart to get elected. anyone who knows that having a 5 point ultra-specific plan that will fail at the first sign of compramise isn't smart cant get elected because they are 'not being specific enough'. you're an idiot, this is YouTube. no one's scared to say anything against anyone on YouTube. maybe many people just GENUINELY like Obama, and maybe you just don't like him? it's as simple as that. i don't see Fox News being scared to knock Obama "because he's black", do you? what an idiot you are!
Who says he does not have any experience?,does Bush have experience while he can't even speak english properly,Bush has never been out of the America before he became president,Bush is a desaster for the USA and world,he brought more trouble than peace to world,I am confident that Obama will put an end to this mess.Americans, pls vote for Obama.
I don't believe we were ever given the chance to vote him out...You knew he was going to win in 2004 after literally buying the 2000 election. If Americans were able to vote RIGHT THIS MOMENT about whether or not to throw Bush out of office, I have no doubt he'd be unemployed within seconds.
Political power is like sugar, and you're always going to have ants where there is sugar around. The only solution to money in politics is to reduce the incentives that donating parties have. If you reduce the power of government, you reduce the "sugar" for the "ants" to gather.
What is easier: spreading sugar everywhere and work your tail off to keep ants out, or just get rid of the sugar?
Don't all donations come from "people?" The fundraising has to come in the end from people with reasons for donating it. No matter how hard you try, you're going to have special interests in politics. I find efforts to remove the "money" from politics never seem to work. The reason is that there is so much to gain from competing parties by getting a toe-hold in the political process.
This guy's got too much campaign funding to be much use to the american people. While I'm sure he has the option of turning around and slapping all his campaign contributers, I wonder whether he actually would.
90 percent of Obama's campaign funds have come from the people. donations of 100 dollars or less made through his website! this is a first for a nominee of this calibre and a welcome change to the way camaigns has been funded in years past. I was at this event, my first ever and i was blown away by his presence. very impressive!
You're forgetting that while he will not accept direct campaign contributions from lobbyists, he has no problems taking that same money indirectly. I'd like to know where you got the 90% figure.
opensecrets . org. breaks down campaign financing. See for yourself where the money is coming from. political action committees make up considerable amount more of the contributions for republicans than they do for democrats in general. Also individuals are strictly limited in how much they can donate. up to only a few hundred dollars per citizen i believe.
April 20th was the date for the idiot with the Hitler comment, as for the rest, America may want Obama, but certain demographics, voting machines, and the dog and pony show put on by corporate interests will be sure to make it nigh impossible. Apparently an uneducated idiot who scores higher on a poll as a probable drinking buddy(W) is more important than a person with intellect and actual dimplomatic experiences.
How is he dangerous ? He's dangerous b/c he's a good speaker ? Clinton and Obama are good speakers.... I know your not use to it with W but all our GREAT leader were great speakers (For example: FDR was a wonderful speaker).

Bush took it in the wrong direction. Working towards bettering our diplomacy with hostile nations and utilizing our intelligence, we can successfully and peacefully fight terrorism. Bush didn't want that, he wanted war. And why not? War is big money for some people...
I personally think that it doesn't matter what the color of a mans skin is. What matters is what he believes and I beleive he will be President and I am from Mississippi!
He's 50% white and 50% black. So, can someone give me a non-racist and logical reason for labeling him as black? Think about it, why is he never called "white"? As a biracial person myself, I can tell you that deep down he probably does not consider himself neither black nor white but above all a _human_ with equal compassion and consideration for people of ALL races.
That mind-set is generally a natural bi-product of being mixed-race. It's sad, many ppl seem to be attempting to derail Barrack with narrow-minded prejudices and labels. Are yjese ppl really THAT scared of potentially electing a President who's very core may be that illusive social-equality we all claim to have been seeking for so long? Barrack's unique perspective may be just what America needs right now.
America reaps what is sows brother....race laws of the past said that a drop of one black blood made an individual black. Therefore a man with 50% of his being, black, is definetly black
You said: "He's 50% white and 50% black. So, can someone give me a non-racist and logical reason for labeling him as black?"
Yes I can give you a non-racist reason. It is simply because HE identifies HIMSELF as African American. But you are correct, he does have equal compassion and consideration for all people of all races, and that is very evident in both of his books.
Yes I can give you a non-racist reason. It is simply because HE identifies HIMSELF as African American.
while it is true that Obama identifies himself as African,it is also a fact that he would not be considered white were he to identify himself as such..in racist america u pretty much have to be 100% white to be white..lets not fool ourselves..
Don't be so negative even though your view seems to be mildy popular it's not correct. About 90% of americans say they'd vote for a black president but only 50% (aprox.) say they think others would. So it seems that even thought most people don't care alot people think others care.
I believe there's a solution to the sectarian violence I won't go into details not that I have all the answers. Barack should go into more specifics of why corn Ethanol and not sugar cane for example, and his plan for the middle east but he has time so I wouldn't make it into a big deal yet.
I believe there are enough americans that believe in change that they will be willing to vote for a president who can unite the country and make great changes at home and abroad... even if he is black.
Mr. Obama, you need a better response for people who don't believe you're experienced enough (beyond the obvious "I've been in politics long enough to know that it needs reform" idea. I don't think you're convicing anybody with that one). Also, how would u fund your semi-utopian free healthcare/quality education ideas.I think we all agree these issues are important, but is there a practical way to go about implementing your terribly ambitious ideas without taxing the crap out of all of us?
Ahem, how is the free healthcare and quality education system for all "semi-utopian"? Look at the Nordic countries like Finland and Sweden. We got it all, and we pay less for it than you do in the States by insurance. It has been done before so it's only up to you if you want it.
He has the experience that is needed imo but I agree he might want to speak a bit more about it. Like this poster put it many countries have universal healthcare and pay less for it than we do, it's the insurance companies that we are wasting our tax dollars on and there lobbiest and STRONGLY against any type of reform. In fact it would be cheaper for single-payer healthcare giving coverage to---
---every american than it is now. Education deserves more money if needed even thoguh there's things that can be done without more money. We spent 1trillion dollars in a war that made us less safe I think we can invest in our future.
It works in Europe. The UK has a free education and National Healthcare System, totally free to all. The UK pound is also stronger than the US dollar, their economy is a lot stronger than ours. The problem in the states is that the corporate sector are against a National Health Care system and Obama has hinted at removing the rampant corporate influence in Washington. That's change. Do you want it?
I live in the UK and can tell you that our health care system may well be better than yours but our economy sure isn't. Your economy is by far and away the strongest due to your incredibly flexible labour force, your high levels of company investment in training, and most significantly your speed at implementing technological change. Your huge domestic market doesn't hurt either. However in recent years we've been catching up.
I agree sugar cane is more efficient, but there's already large corn producers maybe it's better to use corn? Or maybe he's got too much pressure from them. But the "bloodbath" can be handled it staying isn't an option.
Every time I think he couldn't do more than he already has to inspire me, he speaks again and I am more moved to demand Obama 2008! We need this man as our President! Please CA and US vote for Obama in 2008!
Thank you, Mr. Obama. I will never be able to tell you, ever, what your campaign means to me. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for running. You may be right. America may very well be the last best hope in the world. But I am certain that you are the last best hope for America. I pray for the day that we will address you as Mr. President. I pray and I hope. Fight hard, Barack. We're with you.
Too bad non-Americans can't vote for you. I'm sure 99% of the world would vote for you or Hillary so another Republican doesn't get the office(I would.).
I so much wanted to go to San Diego this weekend and could not. Thanks you so much for uploading the whole 23 minutes and 39 seconds! As usual, it looks like a great speech (on YouTube anyway) and it seemed to go over well with an important audience looking toward Feb 2007.

while it is true that Obama identifies himself as African,it is also a fact that he would not be considered white were he to identify himself as such..in racist america u pretty much have to be 100% white to be white..lets not fool ourselves..

Keep uploading these longer videos of full speeches, please. They're much better than the short ones.

Mr. Obama, you need a better response for people who don't believe you're experienced enough (beyond the obvious "I've been in politics long enough to know that it needs reform" idea. I don't think you're convicing anybody with that one). Also, how would u fund your semi-utopian free healthcare/quality education ideas.I think we all agree these issues are important, but is there a practical way to go about implementing your terribly ambitious ideas without taxing the crap out of all of us?
killertr 4 years ago
Ahem, how is the free healthcare and quality education system for all "semi-utopian"? Look at the Nordic countries like Finland and Sweden. We got it all, and we pay less for it than you do in the States by insurance. It has been done before so it's only up to you if you want it.
SimSonikku 4 years ago

Arcain101 4 years ago

5 stars and added to favorites! Thx 4 video :-)
