i didn't start to play till i was 6. i had lessons till i was oh, around 11 or 12. i don't play classical anymore because playing wasn't fun; my instructor couldn't stand how i would "change" the music around, he'd get a little upset hehe. ;) i haven't touched my violin since the beginning of summer (i'm 19) and i regret it.

keep it fun for her, have a teacher that keeps it fun(she's only a kid), and she'll enjoy it the rest of her life :) she's so adorable, and so is Bella! :)

So cute! Very impressive to be playing the violin at such a young age. I took violin lessons in school when I was ten. I'm fifteen and haven't played the violin since I left elementary school so I've totally forgot how to play. She helped me remember a little bit. Very nice video! My violin is pink. She will become intelligent and so will her children. Its proven that the the pitch difference from music such as the violin makes the neurons in a persons brain more compact and there for end up being more intelligent. The neurons become more compact so the person can here pitch much easier. A famous scientist called Ray Kurzweil had a father who was a musician and ray became very intelligent and had a very high IQ.

@Conan939 I don't think that's true... Most historical geniuses were not music related at all (Einstein, Hawkins, Kopernikus, Galileo, Dante, Schoppenhauer, Nietzsche, etc). Although Einstein picked up the violin during his lifetime, yet he was terrible at it. The only way to get smart is trashing your TV and start reading.

I just started watching your videos, and it delighted me to see that Sophia plays the violin! I can see that this is the beginning of a journey! I too am a violinist and have been playing for 8 years. (I am only 17.) I am going to pursue music education in college and this makes me very excited to see that children are still interested!
