I first moved to Uttara in 1988. Very few houses around then. No Rajlaxmi, no supermarkets at all. To me, Uttara was best in the early to mid 90s. Hot Hut in Rajlaxmi, the movie rental place in the back... Sucks to see it become crowded after 2000.

Uttara has become so much crowded now a days...Shopping is a pain, specially if it is daily necessities. I'v found an online store that takes order online and deliver products at home. And you will pay when goods are delivered. Wow!! I have not tried it though. The shop address is: homedeliverybd(dot)com
