I'm glad that you show us your Terratec Grabby Test, it makes me want to buy this cable and recording my gameplay from my xbox360. I don't ever want to wasting $50-$180 for buying Dazzle, HD PVR, ect...

@WhiteOwnzzz if you set the recording video standart to ntsc,you have to set the overall videostandart to ntsc_433 or something like that. also check if you set the IN-channel to COMP or S-Video! that´s all i can tell you,sry.

@GameAttackTV du musst deine xbox sowieso mit vga an den grabber anschließen. heißt:der monitor wird garnicht beim aufnehmen verwendet,sondern nur dein pc

@SavingPrivateDick first of all i didn´t record it in pal 60,but in pal 50.the grabby won´t record in pal 60. in pal 60 your video would be black n white,so you need to get the pal 50 version of the game.i wanted to record some mw2 gameplay too,but my xbox said it doesn´t support pal 50.so i googled a bit and found out that there´s a pal 50 version of mw2.

@Moozwenk did you connect the red,white and yellow cable ends to the grabby inputs or the other coloured cable ends of the av cable of the xbox?

if you did that and it still doesnt work,check if you have put the toggle at the av-cable front end(the end that is in the xbox) to HDTV or AV.

if it still doesnt work after doing all that,check if you have installed the grabby drivers and the right program off the cd. and if all those things didnt work,you should contact the support.

@booyaka619fan winzig.. deswegen ist es empfehlenswert das av-kabel UND das HDMI_kabel in der xbox zu haben. das ist aber nicht einfach so möglich,denn das av-kabel is so fett,dass das hdmi-kabel nicht mehr reinpasst,wenn es drin ist.

Hallo :) Ich hab nun endlich den Grabby, aber ich bekomme es nicht hin das Bild nicht-grau darzustellen. Welche Settings hast du genau benutzt? Nutzt du PAL-50 oder -60? Das Spiel, das ich aufnehmen will unterstützt nur PAL-60 :-(

@BurSchnart yes,i tricked around a bit ;) usually there would be those annoying black lines on the side of the screen if i would have put it on youtube in the resolution that i recorded with. but youre probably wondering why i dont have black lines in hd,because usually you still have them because the resolution doesnt match EXACTLY. i have found the perfect resolution to record with:720x576 ;) if you turn your vid to 1280x720(HD) on the pc,it comes out perfectly! but one thing:this HD is fake.

@BurSchnar alright heres why its fake:the hd image in a video is only real,if the original record was hd. as you can see if you put 720p as setting on my video,its still a bit blurry and not crystal clear as hd usually is.. thats because i forced it to be in hd.. im currently looking for a trick to make the next video sharper so we have a real looking,crystal clear but still fake hd then. but then nobody will recognize its fake,because its sharp like real hd.. alright i think explained it all..

@hansithas (As your game is german, i think you are german, too) Danke für die ausführliche Erklärung :) Ich kenn mich schon mit After Effects und Videobearbeitung generell aus. Ich habe mir auch gerade erst bei Ebay das Aufnahmeteil ersteigert und werde mal schauen, inwiefern sich die Qualität bessern lässt. An vielen Stellen erkennt man ja dieses typische Fernsehflimmern....hmmm. Jedenfalls danke für die Erklärung! Du hast also nichts weiter gemacht als das Video "gestretcht". :)

@BurSchnart nein,ich hab nichts selber gestretcht sondern einfach nur die auflösung der footage bei sony vegas auf 1280x720 geändert und von 720x576 auf 1280x720 hat man anscheinend das perfekte ergebnis.. meine aufnahmesettings(falls du dir auch dieses billige aber tolle usbwunderstück auch kaufen willst) im programm das mitkommt sind:720x576 in 16:9 (GANZ WICHTIG sonst hast du bei hd auch die balken auf der seite oder oben und unten),PAL 25 fps,48000 hz(kristallklarer sound ;)

@hansithas Ach ja stimmt: Hattest du irgendwelche Verzögerungen während der Aufnahme? Also ich schätze, man sieht das Bild dann auf dem PC Bildschirm, aber ist es auch 100% live? Schau mal hier rechts das Tomb Raider Video, der rennt gegen alle Wände weil er so ne große Verzögerung hat......

@BurSchnart hmm ich habe ein 100% iges live-bild o.O wenn ich den stick nach vorne drücke läuft niko auch sofort als würde normal spielen.. ich denke mal,er hat die qualitätstufe im programm zur aufnahme,das mit in der packung ist,auf mindestens 10.. da verzögert sich mein bild auch.. ich habe meine qualität auf 4 und es sieht nur etwas unschärfer aus als sein video.. aber ich habe herausgefunden,dass man leistung sparen kann und trotzdem ohne bildverzögerung gute qualität haben kann..

@BurSchnart ich habe nämlich herausgefunden,dass man auch die schärfe einstellen kann und diese dann auf der höchsten stufe(empfehle ich nicht,denn ein "überscharfes" bild wird verpixelt,weil es ja keine kantenglättung bei der aufnahme digitaler inhalte gibt..ich habe die schärfe bei diesem video nicht hochgestellt gehabt,deswegen ist das bild auch in hd ein wenig unscharf.. wie schon in einem früheren comment gesagt:man kann das "gefakte hd" echt wirken lassen,wenn man das bild scharfstellt.
