  • BTW, why dont you ask guys at ADJ to add WAV support/firmware for SDJ-2/SDJ-1 ?!?

  • i havent looked at mixing since the late 90s, i see its come alone way since the 1210s... great stuff to see the times change for the better.. i wonder what it will be like in another 10 years?, interesting

  • *Correct YouTube name is (WickedSounz)*

  • oldie but goodie, works great as a back up unit.

  • Peace, can you make a few suggestions as to how to set up my SD card library...ie alpabetical, artist genre, what is the standard?

  • I just bought one of these, on sale no less. and its SO FREAKIN BADASS!

  • I just ordered one of these babies! The perfect tool for mobile dj`s that don`t want to break the bank. It seems solid and reliable, and it`s got all the necessary features. And it`s great that you can update it!

  • Good, but it doesn't accept the newer version of sd (sdhc = secure digital high capacity) which is 4x (&up), they don't make 4gb standard sd cards anymore so basically you can only use up to 2 gb of sd which they still make. I would wait for the 2nd generation version. Good video though

  • yeah I just picked mine up and was lucky enough to get a bundle of 4 gig cards, and I am hoping that there will be an undate to where it will read the other formats, and bigger cards

  • I just got my NEW sdj1 and it has the SDHC logo, pointing to the top card reader, looks like we're in luck!!

  • would be interesting to know if it is compatible with sdhc

  • Yeah man same here!

I remember reading on the american audio website saying that all new models of SDJ1 now accept SDHC, but its not there anymore :S

Does anyone know if you are able too?

  • WickedSounds did a video where he used a new SDHC card and by what he was saying if you have the SDHC logo on your player, you can use the SDHC card. One limitation is that you can only put 999 songs on the card or the player will get confused. Hope this helped. I am looking at getting one of these units myself.

  • is is true that you can only pitch in 0.15% steps?

  • Great stuff again.

  • how much is it in australian thnaks i love your vids man thanks j

  • 8 GB is not enough... I have about 160GB of music on a HD, wich means 20 cards...

  • Who seriously has time to use that much music? I've been doing entertainment for over 20 years, and take 50-60 gigs worth of music, and ALWAYS have more than enough, and every song asked for

  • My clients are very difficult ;)

By the way I'm now 206.07Gb with 45,528 Songs

  • ha...must be difficult clients*lol*

  • Thanks. looks nice and solid and seems to have excellent response times, a handy bit of kit and only £180 .. bargain!

  • awesome, i really like the idea of having my 1200s with this unit too, saves me getting cd decks. great vid, thanks j

  • I mentioned this on Brian's vid too. As a mobile, we always like to have a backup. I think this unit would work great as a backup, particularly for Digital DJ's using a laptop/midi. Just move over a selection of the most likely tracks you'll be playing right from your laptop onto SD cards, pop them in, and you've got a compact inexpensive backup, if anything happens. No need to burn backup CDs.

  • hey j, can you play two tunes at once from the same card?

  • yeah

  • great

  • nice vid and interview to the right!

  • It's great unit but it should have 2ch mixer buit-in, like the JB Systems MSD900 has!!!;)

  • But some people dont need that build-in, maybe an sdjm-1?

  • looks like a good bit of kit for messin about on ....a bit like the iDJ 2 but without the need for iPods.

    great stuff

  • Nice vid j

    this is a great unit

  • Hey J, you can pop thoes SD cards out when the unit is on, swap cards, etc.

    Nice one!

  • ok, I wasn't too sure!. j

  • I now got the citronic cd-1.2, but it has some small problems. (you used to have one too) But what you think? The citronic, or this one?

  • It was ok for the price, but i found that after a while the trays would get stuck. j

  • dont have trouble with that, i have cue problems on the left side

  • I thought it was an amphibious craft. What the hell, i was fooled!

  • sweet gear, i may pick up one of those in a couple weeks...

  • Another great walk-through. Thanks as always.

  • nice....the math is right btw.
