This vid gets a 45! :D I would like to think that compensates for the frustration the lag must have caused Kurt, but A) this happened a long time ago, and B) contrary to prior evidence in regard to interactions of any kind between Kurt and myself, I am not that egocentric. ;D

Seriously, though, I know the frustration the lag must have caused Kurt...it happens to me all the time in my one and only Minecraft world (playing in Beta 1.6.5)...

According to the wiki you are at about 2%, if you stay at your current pace you'll probably reach the far lands around episode 5000

i think at about 500000 blocks or so you can start getting lots of lag and @GHBigHouse59 you start getting land generation errors at around 12mil blocks at which point the terrain may become almost impossible to traverse not to mention the lag in which case may be as early as episode 230 - 300 or so

If your computer supports it try going to options, video settings, and setting Advanced OpenGL on it solved a lot of my lag problems. Also, Which in your mind are scarier the Daleks, the Cybermen, or The Doctor.

and when you do get near the far lands, you'll either need a REALLY good computer to handle all that lag, or Single Player Commands to reduce the lag for you.

If you're talking about Post 1.8 ... then it's simply because your world save is getting "bigger" memory wise.

the lag is caused by the floating point precision error. its the thing that causes the block outline to become displaced. noticable at 250,000 only gets worse from now on.Minecraft Wiki has more info if you need it.

When I get Fraps lag like that when recording, stopping the recording and starting it again eliminates the lag. You can also use Run As with your other account if the batch file approach is causing unstable performance.

The average length of his videos being 20 minutes, if you take 820 hours and multiply it by 3 (the amount of 20 minute segments), and then divide all of that by 100 (number of episodes), you get 24%. Since, however, he spends some time not going continuously forward, 20% would be a safer bet.

I wouldn't install anything on your SSD besides your OS. Some programs do a lot of logging and other writes to their own folder and that will shorten the life of your SSD.
