@saphirengine Totally agree, my jaw dropped when I heard that. Mayer makes most of his pop stuff sound that little bit bluesy with awesome guitar skills.
This is kind of obscure, but do you live in Chicagoland? This might have come off of an album entitled "Mixclusives: Volume 4." I had the album at one point and lost it, it had some great acoustic tracks and was produced by the radio station 101.9 the mix in Chicago. A very very similar version of Bigger than my Body was on it. Could be the same one.
I have a question. How do you get songs that aren't on the itunes store or on a disk into your itunes library? Please inbox me or something. Thanks for the post!

This version is from his AOL sessions. You can go to AOLmusic and watch it there. I have learned this exact version on guitar and will be posting a tutorial soon.
It's "Someday I'll fly, someday I'll soar...", which is one of my favorites when it comes to deep JM lines. Definitely a great acoustic rendition. Keep posting!
I noticed alot of people don't know why songs like this exist - why they are release do NOT know, but i know for a fact that John comes up with all his songs and plays em on an acoustic before he converts it into eletrical, which is kinda obvious, cause with an electric guitar you can do so much more (though i do like Clarity acoustic more than the actual song :P) So you start off with the basic, and then improve it after :)
Sometimes I wonder why John does some of the versions he does, and you research and find gold nuggets like these, and wonder why he ever did some of the things he did to a song. I guess it's just taste for different people.
you know in those magic shows where they show you how to do a trick, but at the end they flip it and add something extra they didnt tell you aboyut? thats how I felt when I learnt to play this song, had it down, then I listened to the second chorus on this verison and a wave of depression fell over me :(
Holy frick! dood where are you getting all these? im subscribing pronto! do you really send these songs to whoever asks? Your version of -man on the side- is crazy dood! if you can, you gotta send me some of these!
haha i'm not gonna make you watch my video again...and i'm pretty sure i've still got your email so i'll send it. hopefully in the near future im putting up another school project, this time for drivers ed, and its pretty hilarious. and i plan to put up more rare mayer songs as i come across them.
